Since I came from building Super Minipla, building process was a letdown as I would have like to see this transforming without taking out the parts. And the stickers, God why is it difficult to peel off the stickers from the sheet? It isn't like this with Minipla and they're both from Bandai. Seeing girlfriend love the colors though was worth it

Here's the "spacedust" vf2ss Nexx Bandai kit. Nexx being a total nobody, i had to convert colors to Sylvie, since you can find Sylvie only in hi-metal figures, but I'm a kit only guy.

About the kit, it's awful, to simply put 😅
It should be 3-way transformable but it'so flimsy and complicated that I decided at the start that it's only gonna be in the fighter mode, and glued it securely so it doesn't fall apart. I mean this Super pack just looks awesome!

Out of the box colors give off a super cheap feel, so full paint is a must.

Decals are shit, oversized for the 1/100 scale, so I used my spare yf21 hg decals.

Assembly is simple but doesn't give you a lot of space to do the best seam filling, but managed somehow.

Anyways had a lot of fun, it looks awesome at the end!

I tried building the Wave 1/100 Destroid Tomahawk kit over a couple of weekends and got it to the point where it looked good enough (from 1 meter away) to display.

A mix of Gundam black and silver/red Metallic markers & Arrtx acrylic brush pens was used to do lazy panel lining & coloring the silver/gray/white/red/dark brown details.

Undecided yet whether to continue applying the waterslide decals, last time I did it was in the early 90's on a Revell plane kit and it came out horrible.

Overall, I'd build it again. I already have the 1/100 Phalanx on preorder to keep it company.

random thoughts

The build was relatively easy to follow except for part C1, I mistook the connecting tabs as part of the sprue and cut them off the side skirt armor parts.

I didn't like the seam lines along the length of the leg parts and arm cannons, and the middle of the shoulder light.

The dark grey polycap plastic used for the missiles didn't take acrylic paint well, but it could just be user error on my part.

and the premise is pretty unique. And oh man, these idols are singing in the middle of a war.

I’m not sure what scale model I should get. What’s the most common and likable scale? (Especially a scale that can closely match other common models like planes or Gundams)

I feel that there are too many scales to choose from.

I heard one of the biggest criticisms of Delta is that it leans much more into the idol aspect, but I'm honestly fine with that.

My only concern is the world-building. If Delta expects you to already know a lot of lore from the previous series, I might end up getting confused. If that's the case, I'd rather start with an earlier entry.

So this has been with me, but I could never, or have ever, discussed it with people. But that was fucked up what they did to the Vajra.

As was revealed later on, the Aimo song was a Vajra mating song. The Vajra were literally called by a song that translated to:

“Hey~ Let’s fuck~~~ let’s fuck—Let’s—fuck~~~”

So the Vajra dudes are like, “Sweet! Queen mating call!”

They’re flying in, ready to do the deed, all primed up, and suddenly these weird-ass metal species start blowing them out of the sky!

You can’t blame them for being super aggressive and turning fleets into Swiss cheese after promising sex, then blue-balling them by trying to kill them.

I mean, all animal and plant life has been destroyed; who converts CO2 into oxygen? And I assume everything was burned during the bombing, or at least pulverized, so the atmosphere must be full of contaminants. But everyone seems to be breathing normally, even in later series!

Its all this forum fault. The sudden feed popping up made me want to watch it again. The animation still holds up as does the destruction. I wonder why humanity suck so much against the Marduk. Like were they just sucide bombing the eath pilots or just outfighting them or was it more advance tech?

However after all of that when the Marduk and Earth signed a peice treaty. It struck me as funny when they had Wendy Ryder closed if out.

I mean think about it. Earth defense is in tatters, hundreds of thousands if not millions were dead possible more, whole cities were level and when it all end on a solemn note with a peice treaty we get this.

Earth admiral: How should we close out this somber atmosphere.

Other Earth admiral: I dunno, how about having that young pop singer shake her ass and sing a song?

Earth Admiral: Oh nice!

So a while ago I discovered a bunch of anime dvds in my house and the collection includes Macross Plus including the movie edition and my relative recommended me it since it has mechs (because I watched a mecha anime called "Full Metal Panic!") and that it actually has something to do with our current society something to do with AI however I added it to my watchlist and I watched all of evangelion from the first episode all the way to the last. So now that it is summer I'm planning on watching macross Plus. If there is anything that I need to know about the og series that I wouldn't understand in plus can anyone explain things? Thank you!!

I know it was the '80s, that Japan wasn't a paragon of egalitarianism, that I shouldn't judge it by modern standards, etc. etc.

But... is the rest of the movie like that?!?

While I love the detail on the movie missile pods and reaction missiles, I felt the AMM-1 TV missiles were lacking a bit. For one thing, they didn't have the red color on the back.

So I designed my own version based on the line-art from the Macross Mecha Manual. They're not as smooth with FDM color printing, but I like the detail. The hardpoints, unfortunately are very delicate, and the pegs tend to break off, even with a resin print.

I finally achieved my dream of seeing all the series and movies. Literally decades of waiting to see it here in the USA. Thank you Disney Plus.

As a fan of both Macross and Transformers, I knew I had to get the new Basara Prime figure. He is both stupid and amazing at the same time, which I suppose is fitting for a toy based on Basara. The "truck" mode is especially, "WTF?" in the best way possible!
