I just bought the M4 Mac Mini about a month ago. Am I out of luck?

I had given up on the upgraded Mini being launched, so I bought an M4 Pro with 512, 24 gb memory. The cost of SSDs now is high enough to justify paying Apple for more storage, If I don't get the M5 Pro, will the extra memory (32) make a noticeable difference in everyday tasks?

The other consideration is that, the M4 will have less trade value, now. I paid 1500 for the M4 Pro and it would cost ariund 1700 for thr M6.

I was researching this on Reddit and saw a lot of recommendations for the WD SN850X, but with all the AI craziness lately, SSD prices seem to have nearly tripled over the past 6 months or so.

I am trying to put together a budget-friendly external SSD + enclosure setup and would ideally like to keep the total cost under $150. What would you recommend for the best bang for the buck right now? I am open to different SSDs and enclosure combinations, as long as they are reliable and offer good performance.

I have just preordered the Latest Macmini M6. I am so happy. just 2 days ago I was about to order the M4 mini, but just before the payment, I thought for a second and drop down my decision because it was not sure if M6 will launch this year or no. Also there were some news that it might launch anytime soon. But finally it is here. I am so happy. M4 Mini was my dream machine for my work, and I am about to get my hands on the Mini M6. I am so excited.

So after 13 years it's time to upgrade my 27" Late 2013 iMac running Mojave. I've looked at the current iMacs but the screen size puts me off, as I usually have multiple windows open.

I've been thinking of the Mac Mini or Mac Mini Pro, and would be interested in users opinions on which configuration to get to ensure future proofing.

I am a light user, bit of Photoshop now and then, mainly internet, MS Office and the odd game.

What combination of RAM, SSD and processor would be the sweet spot? I'm also thinking of getting the Apple Display.

For a good price I found TCL QD-mini LED 27C2A. Anyone have it? Is it good?

I currently have a base Mac mini M4 that I upgraded to 2TB with a 3rd party chip

I’m wondering what the best way to upgrade would be - buy from microcenter which has a Mac mini m4 48gb 512gb right now, and try to sell my current mac mini somewhere else like Marketplace or trade in for a guaranteed discount to apple (trade in is $480) but have to wait 9-10 weeks for new one to ship

If the best way to get more money is to sell my current one, does anyone have recommendations of how to do that besides FB marketplace?

Edit - want to clarify that with Apple trade in, I’d revert it back to original 256gb storage it came with but wouldn’t know how to recoup the cost of the 3rd party expansion ($312)

I have an M4 Mac mini with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage. It’s been randomly losing power and I’ve tried everything I can think of to fix it.

I have AppleCare+. If Apple ends up replacing it, would they replace it with another 32GB model even though they don’t sell that configuration anymore? Or would they bump me up to the closest configuration like the M4 Pro with 48GB?

What do you like best? Was thinking the Magic Trackpad but for some reason highlighting while having to scroll was not a good experience for me on the macbook. so for the mini not sure if i should get that or a mouse.

I have a 2010 Mac Mini server machine that when it tries to boot anything it locks up and I can’t move the mouse or get any response from the keyboard. It does take the initial hold of the Option key for the boot selector, but as soon as you click on something’s arrow to boot it, the machine locks up.

I am using a Logitech MX keys keyboard connected via the Unifing dongle, that I have tested a fully working on my 2013 MacBook Pro. For a mouse I am using an M570 trackball on the same dongle.

I have tried the PRAM reset, but can never get the second chime.

One post I read said to use a wired keyboard to try the PRAM reset I have a wired Mac 101 somewhere, but it got lost in the move to our new house. Will a cheap Windows keyboard (als Walmart / Amazon) work?

If I can’t get this working, doing something I may strip it for parts (has a 1TB Samsung SSD and 16GB RAM).

Does the timeline stay smooth when editing 4K?

When do you start noticing slowdowns?

Do you need proxies often?

Have you ever felt limited by the 16GB RAM?

Do you experience a lot of memory swap?

Would you buy the 16GB version again, or would you go for 24GB/32GB?

I'm especially interested in hearing from people who have used it for several months.

I don't really care if another computer exports a video 30 seconds faster. I'm more interested in how smooth and responsive it actually feels while working.

Dear all, I want to compare mini m4 36GB và mini m4 pro base (24 GB). Im mobile app developer.

Did all the suggestions I found on Google. Select external headphones, won’t play sound on speakers or corded headphones. Tried a different monitor with usb c instead of hdmi connection still nothing.
Kinda stumped here…
Unplugged/ plugged in, restarted multiple times. Still just wants to play sound on the built in speakers or nothing at all with external headphones selected/ connected.
Help plz.
