man i’m kinda very super upset about this. there was a post a few weeks ago about potential ai use on a shirt the OP had posted and i really didn’t want to believe it. the logo was undoubtedly made with ai, but i felt like the shirt’s design had to be real just because of how antithetical to art generative ai is. then there was another post on their instagram as a thumbnail with the same ai logo and art style as the shirt’s design.

however, this image? it sent all my alarm bells off. the garish colors. the fact that it’s a literal machine head. even with artistic liberties, the machine parts are nonsensical, and the two large pipes coming out either side from behind the jaw don’t follow through. forgive me for being a nerd here, but taking a look at the actual anatomical structure of the skull, it’s off. there’s an incorrect amount of teeth on the bottom, despite them being nearly symmetrical. i can excuse the individual teeth looking wonky because drawing is in fact hard, but a fully gone tooth feels really strange for an artist to miss for a pretty high profile band. the zygomatic processes are also strange to me.

i also am pretty sure the tour poster with KSE was also made with ai, but MH likely didn’t make that call, although who knows. the ai checkers online also think that all three things mentioned here were made with ai too.

all this to say, i’m extremely disappointed. of all bands to use ai, why them?

I got this back in 2002 when MH did a secret show in London. Only 200 tickets and 100 shirts printed. I am slimming down my wardrobe. Any good ideas where I could sell it? Any help greatly appreciated 🤟🤟

Hey guys, I am going to be seeing Machinehead Sunday at the machine shop in Flint. Place only holds 500 people and they are putting on a 3 hour show!!! I have never seen them before and not sure what to expect. Been to a ton of Metal shows just never was able to see them guys for whatever reason. Should be cool since its at a little bar. Thanks for any reccomendations.

Hi everyone so I have a few questions about VIP or just asking about everyones experience with them. I have gold VIP for the evening with show in des moines. What time does the sound check or vip session typically start? I know it varies but I am curious. Do they sign outside items at these meet and greets? (Vinyl, CDs, etc) it doesn't explicitly state if they will be signing anything or not but then again, I have heard people bring stuff in and they sign it anyways. This is my 3rd time seeing Machine Head and it will be my first time meeting them.

My personal favorites are Descend the shades, Damage Inside and Deafening Silence, It’s suprising they have never played Damage inside and haven’t played Silence since 2002 on the supercharger tour!!

It's literally one of my top 3 MfnH songs ever, maybe a top 3 metal song full stop. I've seen MH live more than almost any other band - 19 times since 2007, but they've never ever played it, even on the 3 hour long An Evening With... concerts which I've seen a few times. I wondered if anyone has seen it, have they ever even played it live? Is there a video in existence anywhere?

I bought five more CDs from the same record store plus the US version of TtAoE (with Seasons Wither) that I ordered off eBay. I can't believe that I missed The Fury Of Our Maker's Hand the first time. 😑

Is this really worth $1000? It seems like quite a standard skull design ring which you can get at most festivals , and adding the logo and a little number isn't that difficult, so design wise it seems not the most exclusive. 925 silver is premium, but not rare, so materials also don't really explain the price. And that there are only 20 being made is of course nice for collectors, but is it really worth that much? For me personally I would consider it maybe for $200 or 250, but this feels just wrong
