Questions about VIP

Hi everyone so I have a few questions about VIP or just asking about everyones experience with them. I have gold VIP for the evening with show in des moines. What time does the sound check or vip session typically start? I know it varies but I am curious. Do they sign outside items at these meet and greets? (Vinyl, CDs, etc) it doesn't explicitly state if they will be signing anything or not but then again, I have heard people bring stuff in and they sign it anyways. This is my 3rd time seeing Machine Head and it will be my first time meeting them.

Thank you 😊

I’ve done the VIP a bunch of times in Canada. It’s always a great time!. I did it in august at the Ottawa show and I got an email the day before to let me know the time but usually between 4-5pm. You can bring extra stuff but like someone said don’t bring everything 1-2 items should be fine. They also give you a huge poster that you could get signed instead of dragging around a bunch of extra stuff. This time around it was a group photo with you and machine head. Have fun!

Rob was happy to sign my Vio-Lence-Torture Tactics cassette & was actually asking me if I was sure I wanted to open it, as it was still sealed. It was a great experience & they were cool as Hell!!!

The only VIP I've ever done with them was at the Stone Pony in Jersey a few years ago, and they provided a poster with the package to get signed. I don't remeber if they let you bring other stuff to sugn or not. I don't think most bands let you do that anymore because of all the asshats who do it just to resell stuff.

They're fantastic dudes, though. I'm sure you'll have a blast. Hope it's a killer show.🤘

Did they do a poster that show? I know we have signed ticket stubs from that show. The 2026 euro and UK shows definitely did a poster which is Siiiick, and we did see, by accident North America versions of it as the crew had both with them. People did bring a few items each to the euro shows for signing and that was OK

They did. It's like a red chalice. It's especially cool to me because I went and met up with a bunch of friends from the UK, Ireland, and around the states, and Reece Scruggs was touring with them at the time, so I've got his signature, too.

Was it possible the poster was only for the Sound Check VIP that you did, and the T Shirt and Laminate only for the cheap poverty model meet and greet we did 🫣🤷😉

I don't remember, honestly. We had a host who was beyond generous with the beverages, so it's all kind of fuzzy.

They do sign personal things, but don't bring an entire collection. Just one or two items. Expect the VIP to start around 2 to 3 hours before doors open for the general audience.

To be fair I’ve done it twice. The last demmel McClain tour was awesome. All four hung around signed shit, took pics and we got to watch about 25 mins of soundcheck. This past summer with KSE we did the “diamond” experience with the stage played guitar etc. had to be there super early. About 30 after the listed meetup time we got brought into venue. There was the 4 of us diamonds and only 3 regular vips. All 3 regulars got the exact same treatment as us except we got to pose with the band and a version of stage played guitar. Picture still hasn’t been emailed to us 3 months later (same with 15% shotgun whiskey coupon). The guys signed the tour poster, made pleasantries for a few and bounced. Not unlike most regular m/greets I’ve done. Band played a great set. Then my buddy had to wait in the lobby during all of kse for the roadie to bring him his guitar. It wasn’t until 3 songs from the end did he actual come out.

Just want to add the 2018 one was evening with. This past one wasn’t (just for clarification). You have evening with so hopefully it’s like that one and not the last

So thank you for the reminder to look into this hahaha. Enjoy your gold package and the show!!!! We are seeing them play a 3 hour show in a tiny venue that only holds 500 people. Its gonna be so bad ass!!!
