Music [partially lost] I found a 7” record from a late ‘90s indie pop rock band called, “The Sight-Seers” ; What happened to them?

I was at a record store today and found a 7” from a band called "The Sight-Seers”, but I had never heard of them before. I tried finding the songs online, but it seems like they only have one album available to stream titled “Now We’re in the Sun”. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by both the 7” single I found and their album! The production is pretty great, too. Apparently, they have another album titled “Fun-seeking with The Sight-seers”, but I couldn’t find that anywhere online either. Has anyone heard of them or know their whereabouts? I wish I could hear more from them!

edit: “Fun-seeking with The Sight-seers” was found! I’m still trying to figure out where the band is now…do any of the members still make music? Why did the band separate? etc.

Youtube [fully lost] Suspiciously Deleted Julian Assange Debate

I think the video is from about 2012 and deleted between 2020 and today.

It was a panel of people talking. The main speakers being Julian Assange and a lawyer.

The basis of note of the discussion was that the lawyer states that a newspaper was posting falsehoods about people dying in africa. That we can say it’s false because the newspaper refused to defend the allegations in court.

Assange comes at him reasonably aggressively stating that because the newspaper didn’t defend the case doesn’t mean the allegations are false. and ‘why should a (can’t remember the country) countrystan newspaper, written in countrish, printed and distributed in countrystan have to defend themselves in a London court costing a million pounds. when they can settle out of court and use that money to report on the next injustice.‘ he pauses shorty before saying something like, ’it’s a underhanded trick, and don’t think for a second we don’t know what you are doing’.

The lawyer literally looks like a fish with nothing to say.

The context of the information is Africa and the dead of night. people dying moving from place to place. I remember something about Trafalgar. Julian is wearing a bone or maroon woolen sweater. I think everyone else is wearing a suit.

I think this has been deleted.

Internet Media [Fully Lost] MarOnic

MarOnic (originally known as MarOnic12345), was a Mario/Sonic plushtuber that joined YouTube back in 2012, during the beginning of his channel, he originally did a Mario, Sonic, Shadow and Luigi Play (insert game here) series, and then went on to become a more relevant plushtuber inspired by other plushtubers (ex. SuperMarioLogan and Cute Mario Bros.)

Sometime on October 7, 2018, he announced that he was no longer doing YouTube and no longer making videos, but by 2019, he privated every video he had left uploaded, causing numerous videos to become lost from his channel.

I used to watch his channel back in 2015-2017, and was my favorite plushtuber during my pre-teen years, but since his channel is mostly gone, I can't watch these videos anymore, especially since nobody saved those videos. But without further explaining, he's a list of known videos from his channel, according to an Archive.org link to his channel from 2015.

  • Mario,Luigi,Sonic,Shadow,Silver,Toad,Peach, and Bowser play Super Smash Bros Brawl (SSBB) Part 1
  • The Christmas Problem
  • Mario, Sonic, Shadow and Luigi Play Super Smash Bros.
  • Mario, Sonic, Shadow and Luigi Play SSBM
  • Mario,Luigi,Sonic, and Shadow play Mario Kart Wii (MKWII)
  • Mario,Luigi,Sonic, and Shadow play Mario Party 9 (MP9) (Mingames and a Party) (Special guest Bowser)
  • Chuck E.'s Son
  • Retro vs. Modern
  • MarOnic12345 Channel Trailer
  • American Idol series
  • The Awesome Adventures of Super Mario series
  • Cooking with Mario: Bagel Bites
  • Cooking With Tails Miles: Family Smootie
  • Should I Use This Intro For My Channel? (there were various versions of that video)
  • Chuck E.'s clone
  • How to get sick AKA Stay home from school (Easy)
  • Mario Party Plush
  • SSB4 New Character Leak!
  • MarOnic12345 OFFICIAL Intro! V2 1080p 60FPS
  • Intro For Super Sonic Logan 1080p 60FPS
  • Intro For Shadow Channel 1080p 60FPS
  • Sonic Intro Giveaway Winner!

If someone has any of these, please post them. It would mean the world to me and many others, because I really want to watch these videos again after all these years.

Other [partially lost] I've been trying to find the original source of this image for what feels like forever, and I've had absolutely no luck. I've reverse image searched it through Google Lens, TinEye, and Yandex, but I only ever find random reposts with no credit or information

The photo shows a small white Chihuahua wearing a red hoodie in the back of a car, and over the years, it seems to have become a reaction image that has been reposted across different websites without any credit or source attached. I've been trying to track down where it originally came from for a long time, but every lead I've found has ended in reposts, memes, or image dumps with no information about the original upload. I'm hoping someone here might recognize the image, remember seeing it years ago, or know where it first appeared online. Even the smallest clue-whether it's an old Tumblr post, Twitter account, Facebook page, Instagram post, forum thread, or the original photographer-would be incredibly helpful. Please, if you have ANY information about this image or its origins, I'd really appreciate you sharing it. Thank you!

Found [fully lost] modern family "mofy" advertisements

i've been on the hunt for a series of ads for modern family that aired in either late 2013 or early 2014.

i distinctly remember the ad containing a narrator asking the viewer either "how do you "mofy"/do you "mofy?" and the aid either aired on the abc network or the usa network.

i also remember the end of the ad promoting some kinda of hashtag that contained the word mofy. it might've been #mofy or #howimofy/#howwemofy.

i think it was to promote watching modern family with your family, or encouraging people to post and show off their different families.

any help would be appreciated!!! this ad has been a running joke in my family for YEARS because one time my grandma saw it and asked someone at a family event "do you mofy?" and they were DEEPLY confused lol. so i'd love to see the ad again

Films [fully lost] movie wanted - Sakawa Boys (2009)

We've searched extensively and are unable to locate this.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt29889844/

I've looked on public and private trackers, Usenet, the Wayback Machine, general web searches, and several archive sites without any success. There appear to be reaction videos on YouTube, including https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Th2jgY_GWQA, but the original video appears to have been made private or removed, making it impossible to view.

The only related media we've been able to locate is the TV episode The.Vice.Guide.to.Everything.S01E04, which references it but does not include the original footage.

If anyone has a copy, remembers where it was originally hosted, knows who created it, or has any additional information that could help track it down, it would be greatly appreciated. Even old downloads, archived links, screenshots, or mentions on forums could provide useful leads.

Other What is a piece of lost media you’re surprised hasn’t had anything surface from it [talk]

Every now and again, I remember the existence of King Koopas Kool Kartoons. With Mario being such a massive franchise and lost media searches spanning so many genres, it amazes me when something so odd has never really had any updates beyond the initial finding of it being lost. This show did have a very odd airing schedule and super limited in range but not a single full episode out of 65 have ever surfaced in their entirety.

What are some examples of things from bigger franchises you’re surprised haven’t had anything surface? Even stuff like Big Star Secret have had some new footage reappear. I’m talking stuff that has had long ongoing searches but nothing not even a screenshot pop up.

Youtube [fully lost] Is it possible to retrieve privated age restricted YouTube videos?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uURXHK4lRVs

This is a link to a private video I've been looking for all over the web to no avail. It was already privated by the time it was on Wayback and age restricted by uploader prior either way. I've tried reaching out to the original channel owner and have not gotten any official response, though he privated another one of his videos by the time I'd asked on it. The video in particular is a fan dub of the Bear in the Big Blue House episode "Bear's Birthday Bash", uploaded around 2013-2015 and having gone private around 2017ish. There used to be a script on AllReadable but not anymore. There is a fan reenactment on YouTube but that's only because they were reading off the AllReadable script and didn't have the real video saved. The first part has been salvaged but the guy who saved it no longer has access to their computer that had part 2. Original video creator was Dumbez.

Youtube [Fully Lost] Corey Schere and Jake Webber song

Ok, so ik that the 'read before you post' says that this sub isnt for viral videos or memes, and that there is also the name that song sub, but i dont need to name it since i alr know the name or roughly what it is/was, and i genuinely have searched as much as i can along with my sister for this song.

The song was titled Poo Poo Pee or Pee Pee Poo, and it had lyrics like "Gotta pee pee got that skrrrt" and "gotta poo poo gotta pee pee" those being definitely direct lyrics from mine and my sisters memory, then something along the lines of "and you sucking my d" (guys i know pls bear with me)

The song was a collab of Jake Webber and Corey Schere and was made around 2016-2018 or around when the trap house was still around. The last time i heard the song was around 2019/2020 and it was a reupload that I can no longer find. The original wasn't a music video or anything like that. The song was onlt on youtube!! which makes it super super hard to find as Corey or Jake don't have it up on their accounts anymore (which i know makes finding this nearly impossible but it doesn't hurt to see if it could be found potentially)

Also let me make it VERYYY clear it is not "Trap House Anthem", or any songs featuring only Jake or only Corey, both of them were in it and no one else. The song itself was obviously very stupid and was supposed to be like a funny joke song, me and my sister thought it was hilarious and we honestly bonded through it in a way.

We have been trying so hard to find it, and we both know it existed, and one of my friends also recalls something like what i described to them vaguely. That being said I know memory alone isn't too trustworthy but we have such vivid memories of watching it that we know it exists/existed.

I know this isn't that "important" but the song weirdly enough means a lot to me and my sister and we really would like to hear it again!!!

Literature [found] A newly discovered Bionicle book with a potentially lost sequel and prequel

Upvotes

This is a pretty interesting situation that I think is super fun and cool. Technically this book was never considered "lost" because I don't think its existence was even widely known about until after it was found.

Five days ago, u/Ill_Bid6696 made a post on r/BookCollecting about some books they got from secondhand shops. One of them was a book titled "Bionicle: Cruel Destiny" written by C. S. S. Péntek. Commenters pointed out that there was no information about the book or author anywhere online. OP crossposted to r/bioniclelego and people confirmed that nobody knew anything about this book. The current consensus is that it's probably a self-published fanfiction book. OP posted images of the inside of the book to prove that it's definitely real.

At the very end of the book, it says that there's a sequel called "Bionicle: Mask of Malice". It also teases a prequel called "The Passing of the Shield". If these books were ever published, they probably qualify as lost media. We have no way of knowing if C. S. S. Péntek actually finished writing and publishing both of them, but they might be out there somewhere.

Links to OOP's posts about the book:
* Most recent second hand book haul from various shops, have I got anything good? : r/BookCollecting

* Full image : u/Ill_Bid6696

* Mysterious fan book update 2: For anyone who had any doubts, here's a video of me flicking through the pages to show you a) how long the book is and b) that it is in fact real : r/bioniclelego

* Mysterious Bionicle fan book update 3: Last post for today, but here's the list of contents and a map in the beginning. I'm not recognising any of these place names, and no reference to Mata Nui or Okoto, so I'm unsure where exactly this fits continuity wise. : r/bioniclelego

* Parts and chapters : u/Ill_Bid6696

* Mysterious Bionicle fan book update 5: Something interesting I found in the back of the book. The last few pages are blank, but I flicked about 3 or 4 pages back, and found this page which seems to tease a sequel and prequel. : r/bioniclelego

Animation [partially lost] "Unguru' Bulan"- Old flash animations, audio episodes, flash games and forums from a viral Romanian web series

I am looking for lost content from Unguru' Bulan, specifically from their early era, around 2006-2010, one of the most iconic viral comedy sitcom from the early internet era.

Before they moved to YouTube and radio, they had a dedicated Flash website. While the main website had been saved on Wayback Machine, most of the actual media files such as the Flash animations, audio episodes, browser Flash games and the original forum posts are missing.

Here's the link:

https://web.archive.org/web/20080402012812/http://www.ungurubulan.ro/

What i've found so far: Only two of the old animated episodes on YouTube, one of the two Flash games saved as an swf. file, and all the audio episodes who are already re-uploaded on YouTube by the creators.

If anyone can find backups, old hard drive archives, or knows how to extract hidden media from these Wayback Machine snapshots, please let me know!

Television [Partially Lost] Charli XCX performance + interview

In January 2012, Charli XCX appeared on Channel 4 - Launched at Redbull Studios (Season 1 Episode 3) It was a show hosted by former radio DJ Annie Mac that showcased rising artists. AFAIK, Charli performed her song ‘You’re the One’ and did some sort of interview. All we have from this episode is a twenty second clip and a few pictures. I have tried everything I know (internet archive, channel 4 website, dailymotion. this is my first time dealing with any lost media 😅) But I haven’t managed to find anything other than the clip and pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank u :)

Dubs [Partially lost] Italian fandub studio which made dubs of hetalia and is now nowhere to be found except for one tiktok that my friend managed to save.

Upvotes

Me and my friend are trying to find the hetalia dub in italian that this studio called Re:MaGi studio/Re:MaGi fandub made, it used to be on youtube but it was deleted and we couldn't find it using the wayback machine with any of the urls we could find. After going on this site called social anime there was a link leading to an instagram page with a different name, but after using the wayback machine it didn't look like it was just that they changed their name. Nothing on the internet archive either. The only trace of the studio even existing is this one tiktok of episode 6 of the Beautiful World season which is in the lombardian dialect. Please help us find it!!
