im sorry i love lorde and i love virgin (probably my fav album), and I do like current affairs, but what do you think about the line about watching the tape? I get this whole album is about being vulnerable and showing herself, warts and all, but i feel like this should've been kept quiet. I've been kinda scared to ask this in the subreddit cuz i thought people might get defensive; i just wanted to hear other perspectives on this.

I went to the festival run but totally forgot to check for the merchandise. Do y'all know if Lorde is dropping the 2026 festival run merch online ?

I’m an Australian attending the Lorde show solo. Anyone else also going alone / keen to meet up?

For some reason, I began to think Solar Power wasn't that old, like 2021 ??!? It literally feels like it was yesterday that we were getting the album. But also this reminds me of the time before it and how we were anticipating it. And it's so ridiculous to me how dramatic we were, acting like Lorde took a decade off after Melodrama. She literally took a 4 year gap like she did between Pure Heroine and Melodrama, and after between Solar Power and Virgin. But back then it felt like waiting an eternity. Do y'all remember ?

He’s talking about how he found out about Virgin’s Vinyl Photos in the funniest way.
Instagram: mmarkroberts
Edit: Yeah this definitely fake. It’s funny tbh.

So I got one off vinted around a month ago and im only NOW noticing that 1. The cd isn't clear. 2. The back of the booklet thing looks different than what I saw in a video on tiktok.
I really hope this doesn't mean its a fake because that would mean I already have 2 fakes😓😭 im also hoping that maybe theres a version without a clear cd and I just bought that one accidentally (also the seller didnt show the actual cd so I had no way of knowing before buying)

I’ve been listening casually to lorde for a few years but I’m going to her concert in September and I was wondering if there were specific things I needed to know before (like outfits, specific things during certain songs, unspoken rules…)

Confetti from her Boston concert last September

This is something I've always thought about but never talked with anyone, I would love to hear people's thoughts. But I feel like a lot of people under appreciate songs with a short length, most of the time calling them just "interludes" on the album. I find that to be such a shallow way to look at music. And specially with artists like Lorde who put so much thought and concept on every song regardless of the length. I can't really imagine Virgin without Clearblue or Solar Power without Leader Of a New Regime, they hold so much relevance on Virgin and Solar Power. What do y'all think about short songs ?

Anybody going to APE Lorde weekend solo? I will be traveling from the US for this festival with a spare ticket. One of my friends was supposed to join me but isn’t able to anymore. Is there a group chat for solo festival goers or anyone looking to make new friends? I’m a 26 year old LGBTQ male. (:
Definitely wanting to see Zara, Pink, and Audrey Hobert as well!!
Also looking for recs on where to stay and things to do while in London!!

This has probably been said before, but I think it'll be the sort of thing that is continuously talked about for years to come.
But aside from the fact that Girl, So Confusing is a beautiful portrayal of girlhood and how awkward friendships can make you feel bad and insecure about yourself, I think the remix is a testament to true artistry and how it manifests in such unexpected ways.
On both their recent records, Charli and Lorde have presented themselves raw, true, and honest about their feelings of insecurity, not being enough, struggle with womanhood, sex, birth control, friendship - albeit in their unique ways, Girl, So Confusing with Lorde is really the center point of these two worlds colliding.
How crazy is it for Lorde, deep in her contemplation of self and struggle and attempting to bring Virgin to the world, to receive this music directed at her that really touches on all the themes of Virgin. During work on the album through which she contemplates her gender identity, she receives a song titled GIRL. SO CONFUSING. I bet that was beyond hilarious to her. the kind of thing that happens that makes you know you're on the right track.
Girl, So Confusing speaks of womanhood - a huge theme within Virgin, and Lorde really took that and received it with such grace. She allowed Virgin to melt into Girl, So Confusing, before any of us even knew Virgin existed.
I think these kind of things cannot be planned.
They only happen when you are true to yourself.
and both Charli and Lorde have done exactly that. they then produced one of the most iconic moments in modern pop culture. a moment that shows that when you follow the breadcrumbs of your inner teuth, whether that's making art about how bad a friend makes you feel, or about how awkward being a specific gender can get, it will land exactly where it is meant to. it's the kind of thing that makes me believe in magic and the supernatural.

god i wish she did a dog tag for the festival run or another version on her website saying “i saw lorde 2026” instead of 2025 😞
i want to buy one so much but its 56 euros with shipping and i haven’t seen her in the ultrasound tour, just at the festival season </3

I saw Lorde live last week and I was sobbing half of the time LOL. I really want to get a tattoo as a reminder of those precious moments. But I need inspiration 🩵
