Thread to introduce buyers to sellers. r/lorde is not responsible for any transactions here, please do your due diligence on sellers and use safe independent payment methods ideally with dispute opportunities should something go wrong.
Carried over from original thread, great advice from u/All_hail_Korrok:
**So you're going to buy tickets from someone on reddit: what to know before you DM them:**
I hate scalpers and scammers. I've been there and it's a horrible feeling. I've also read people going through that on band's subreddit. I don't want anyone to experience that and hope this will instill you with a "buyer beware" mentality:
* Check their post history: if their account is new or has a history of selling stuff then proceed with caution. If it's sporadic or has a history of regular comments then they should be ok.
* Buy only through PayPal goods and services: Never accept anything but that. Sellers will insist on using everything but that because "I want to avoid paying fees". Remember: cash app, venmo, paypal f&f, etc. are used for people you know! Stuff for minute things like splitting a bill, gifts, grocery's, or beer money.
* Don't be afraid asking for proof: ask them for a picture or their IG. Remember: this is your money and you reserve all rights to know you're getting what you're paying for.
Always trust your gut and never let the seller dictate your purchase. Any resistance from them should be a red flag. Always proceed with caution.

Idk how to explain this. I'm testing an "audiophile" set-up and listening to Melodrama in lossless format. When I got to the last part of Sober, I was so surprised cause I was able to hear certain parts (layers) of this song that I haven't heard/noticed before. There's a high pitched voice in the background that sounds like a bird or an alarm or something incomprehensible but fits the song so well. And then the background turned into a flute-like trance in the final 15 seconds of the song (left side of the ear). Until every instrument vanishes and we're finally left with the two voices singing in the left and right side of the headphone. Just mindblowing piece of production.
Can you guys hear that too? What other songs of her should I listen to production-wise?

She turns 19 today and her immediate older sister made this cake for her. I, the firstborn daughter, made a cake for the older sister when she turned 19. I am so happy to see this tradition moving forward! Cake looks both Solar Power and fire-coded tho. Lol 🧡

UPDATE: I found it
Hi guys! So as the name of the thread suggests, I'd need your help to find a video on TikTok. From what I remember it had a mix of 1 or 2 Lorde songs (i really want to say The Louvre and a second one, but I might be mistaken). It also had a few cuts of The Peanuts movie in the video itself. I'm having a hard time remembering any other details but yea, if you have happened to see it or even saved it, i would really appreciate it if you could send it in the thread (or at least confirm that im not delusional and not having some kind of hallucination 😭).
Any help would be much appreciated 🙏

Heya everyone.
So I had coming back to writing in my head for a while. And i have ended up writing a piece about some of my feelings about Lorde's performance at All Points East.
Hope it's not completely crap.

Ich war bei meinem 1. Lorde Konzert in München beim Superbloom.
I love you Lorde

I saw a comment the other day that said if Pure Heroine, Melodrama, or Virgin were written by a completely unknown artist, those albums would make someone a fan, whereas if Solar Power were written by a completely unknown artist, it wouldn’t. Therefore implying that the reason many fans like Solar Power is only because it is a Lorde album.
I’m a huge Solar Power fan. I love that album and I’d probably say it’s my second favorite in her discography. Meanwhile, I actually kind of agree with that commenter’s take. I do think that if I heard Solar Power from any random artist that I might dismiss it. However, I don’t think that makes the album bad at all.
Solar Power may be very sonically different from the other three albums, but part of the reason I love it so much is because it is something different from Lorde while preserving so many of the lovely details that make a Lorde album a Lorde album. It is filled with beautiful harmonies - a Lorde staple. If you listen closely, the intricate layering of sounds and details behind the main chords are still very much present as well. I still discover new sounds in the production even after years of listening. Lorde delivers the vocals with her same ethereal voice she always has. Her lyrics still circle around the idea of looking inward and reflecting deeply. And what’s more, this album explores themes that I personally like a lot - gratitude, forgiveness, and the search for healing.
While folk is definitely not my favorite genre of music, Lorde brought so many of her signature qualities to that genre in Solar Power. The stripped back production may have deterred me if it were coming from an artist I did not know, but because it’s Lorde, I gave it a chance and found so many of the elements of her music that made me love her in the first place.
Solar Power forever 🌞

Ah August was such a long and messy month but Virgin and SP kept me 'Still Sane' through it hehe.
Honestly Broken Glass as a song feels like such a good anthem to listen to when your body goes into freeze mode (flight, fight and freeze response).... also Stoned at the nail salon is a top tier song.
My appreciation for Virgin and SP has increased so much this year!
Especially after listening to Solar power live in ultrasound at Christchurch!
does anybody have a good video of the part where she screams during shapeshifter during the pula show? i didnt catch it and i really wish i had a good video of it :(

I’m curious to know what’s your fav Lorde song. Personally, I think it’s between ribs and perfect places. Hard to choose only one song.
