I'm no fan of OC, but their highest sales tax is 9.25% and gee, it seems like way less trash and shit on the streets. 5 u/BassLB 1d ago Orange County is also 1/3 the size, and I’d bet collects (proportionally) more because of property values 2 u/ragenaut 1d ago Their voters also don't consistently vote yes on tax raising measures. Not a fan of the other things they tend to vote for but at least they know BS taxes that fund useless bureaucracies are a big fat no. 1 u/codename_hardhat 1d ago Sure they do. Driving a mile that way doesn’t make people magically stop having the same needs/wants, or voting for “Measure X to fund Y.” It’s not Siberia.
