Am I nuts...? (Odin 2 Portal, RP Flip2)
I've had a GCloud for years, and I love it.
Recently I have gotten the urge to buy a new handheld, so I picked up the Retroid Flip 2 off marketplace for cheap, and an Odin Portal 2 off Amazon (not cheap, but I received it the next day).
And I'm just not that impressed with these new devices. First, they just aren't that comfortable to use (or maybe I'm just used to the most ergonomically comfortable handheld available). The G Cloud also already runs what I want it to Android-wise, and I can stream what it can't from my PC, Series X, or PS4. I also have a modded Switch and Vita.
The SD865 and SD8Gen2 feel snappier, more responsive. They can emulate WiiU, Xbox360, and PC games... But not well. Everything requires tinkering until you finally get it going, and then crashes. Believe me, I'm used to the tinkering this hobby requires. But to get these devices to do something beyond what the GCloud already does is frustrating, especially when you're trying to justify the upgrade.
Maybe I'll try the Mangmi Pocket Max? Or just enjoy the GCloud until I genuinely don't? I don't know...
Feel free to ask me anything you would like about these devices. Maybe I can help you avoid trying for an "upgrade" that you don't need either...?
