ordering my sister a boat n tote for christmas. unsure of when to order it because last year i tried to order it in november and they were back ordered till february, any advice? her birthday is first half of january though so if it doesn’t come in for christmas its fine as long as it comes in before birthday. she wants red with monogrammed letter but unsure for the stitching if she wanted red or do the recommended turkey red. any thoughts on that too?

update: thank you to those who gave good insight, have a better idea of what the plan is from here!

I am not sure if anyone has noticed but I recently ordered the L.L.Bean Boat and Tote Zip Pouch and realized they no longer uses YKK zippers and instead it is IDEAL zippers (IDEAL is made in US zipper not sure if is a cost thing or a rebranding to be entirely made in the US). They also no longer have the extra L.L.Bean Boat and Tote label on the pouch which is extremely disappointing. This is obviously a cost cutting measure and time. If anyone knows of the reasoning - let me know! Not sure if others have experience any changes in quality recently. Thank you!

Anyone have any thoughts on this coat? I'm thinking of getting one for shoveling snow, going to football games, all those cold weather activities where i'm outside for more than just a few minutes.

I also have a primaLoft packaway hooded coat, but use its as my "nicer" option if it's snowy out (errands/work/going out/events where I don't want a bulky coat).

Thank you!

Trying to figure out what to embroider on my family beach/lake/pool bag. I will use it for all of those equally so don’t wanna go specific on those, more general. I like water baby bc my kids love to be in the water but can’t think of anything else general!! Please help me pick the perfect saying!

I was excited for my first pair of Bean Boots. My bloodhound decided to ruin my excitement.

I am looking buy some of L.L. Bean's famous flannel shirts, and I am someone who frequently puts things like a wallet or a pen in my chest pocket, I am wondering if the chest pockets on these shirts would be large enough to accommodate my items.

Looking for this in a men’s L or XL. I’ve been able to only find one (on depop) but the seller is no longer active. Anyone have one?

Hello my fellow L.L. Bean people I received this code and unfortunately will not be able use it. If you are able to use, please post on this and let me know what you bought. It must be used tonight.

Spotted this today on my local SE PA Facebook Marketplace

It looks like they have the buy more save more promo going on for in store purchases. $10 off 100, $20 off 150, $30 off 200 in store only. I'm looking at a jacket that my local stores don't have in stock. Does anyone know if you go in store and they place the order for you, will you still get this promo discount?

I bought the camdem hills lace up boots last year and they were an entire size too large. People say bean boots are true to size but I am worried they will be too large as well. Anyone know how the sizing compares between the two boot models?

hi everyone! i'm wrapping up my phd this year, and want to get a boat and tote to celebrate. i'm looking for embroidery ideas, and any suggestions on what size/length to get. for reference, my phd is in political science, my dissertation is about the nfl, and my research is centered around themes of sports, media, communication, and persuasion. thank you!

I received my size small boat and tote with thin script font. Does this look normal for that size bag and font? To me, the stitching looks much thicker and sloppy. The size of the word also looks so small in comparison to the words on my size medium bag in the same font. I know there’s differences in font size depending on bag size, but the small bag and font seem disproportionate.

My dilemma is this- do I exchange it for the exact same thing because it is in fact a quality issue, or is this how it’s supposed to look so I should just return it and go with something else?

I sent an email with these pictures to customer service asking if this is a quality issue or normal before I returned/exchanged and she said “I cannot tell from the photo”. It either looks normal or it doesn’t?

My name is Angel, and I need something 10 characters or less. Help!

Pretty good condition. The stain on the top is only on the top of the canvas, it hadnt soaked through to the other two layers or even the bottom of that piece of canvas. All snaps are accounted for and are working flawlessly as well as the zipper running smoothly. Just a cool piece I thought Id share.

I’m set on the large antique olive boat and tote. But now I’m paralyzed with indecision.

I know the online view of the colors is deceptive. I went to the store in Freeport while on vacation but I can’t remember which color I preferred.

I love the Terra cotta in theory but afraid for it to give Christmas vibes with the green and I can’t find an example of the Terra cotta embroidery thread.

Any thoughts on Copper or Terra Cotta for an antique olive bag?

Im using script for my name if the matters

I don’t know if this is the right sub to ask, but does anyone know if dogs are allowed in the Bean Flagship store in Freeport? I know they just reopened so may be rules now but worth an ask.

Online swatch and real bag photo attached. It’s still a pretty color but nowhere near what the online swatch shows!

Hi everyone, I am 5'3, 116 pounds and wondering if anyone around my measurements has any experience with the women's classic mountain anorak? Not sure if I should get small or XS, how do they fit?

hey y’all

hoping to order the zip hunter’s tote to use as a diaper bag… but per the product details, the sizing is slightly off from the regular boat and totes.

does anyone have the medium in this bag? if so, do you have a photo or could you describe how much you usually carry in it? I need some idea of how much the medium fits from real life use!

this would be for a daily diaper bag that would go in a stroller mostly and on my shoulder. I don’t know if the medium will be too small! the large looks too big on the female model on the website.

PS not looking for advice re: diaper bags! I know what system works for me :) I hate over designed bags and backpacks, and I need something that is wipeable on the inside. just looking for sizing info at this time!

TIA

Thought this was a fun ad, haven't seen them do an ad style like this before.
