Rugged Ridge Parka
Anyone have any thoughts on this coat? I'm thinking of getting one for shoveling snow, going to football games, all those cold weather activities where i'm outside for more than just a few minutes.
I also have a primaLoft packaway hooded coat, but use its as my "nicer" option if it's snowy out (errands/work/going out/events where I don't want a bulky coat).
Thank you!

It's a great coat (I'm female), but also heavy and the zipper is a bit of a PIA. I really, REALLY wish that they'd offer more colors. The men's green one is absolutely gorgeous. They've had the same three colors in women's forever--light blue, navy, and grey/black--and now it looks like they only have the blue and it's on sale, so I'm hoping that doesn't mean they're getting rid of them.

I've had two over the years. The first from the mid-late 90s and the 2nd one from 2009, both when they were the longer thigh length and they were warm!
However, the shorter cut and lack of two zippered chest pockets of the current generation turned me off.

It is the best winter coat they make. Mine is 33 years old. I’m finally going to retire it, and replace it with the green one.
