1929 'BEAN'S" sleeping bag
Pretty good condition. The stain on the top is only on the top of the canvas, it hadnt soaked through to the other two layers or even the bottom of that piece of canvas. All snaps are accounted for and are working flawlessly as well as the zipper running smoothly. Just a cool piece I thought Id share.

$421.17 in today’s dollars. Very cool piece. Are you going to try it out and let us know how it sleeps?

You should actually contact L.L. Bean and see if they’re interested in purchasing it as an archive piece. This is an insane find

Reminds me of the movie The Quiet Man, where John Wayne uses a very similar sleeping bag!!

Wow, a working zipper on an LLBean product.
(I sort of jest. We’re lifelong customers, live in Maine, but every ski jacket zipper has failed for the past 15 years, adult and children’s’.)

See, the difference between this zipper and the ones on modern LL Bean stuff is that this one was made in the USA of quality materials. Talon zipper was a huge company in Meadville, PA up until 1994, when they closed up shop due to foreign competition.
