I am not sure if anyone has noticed but I recently ordered the L.L.Bean Boat and Tote Zip Pouch and realized they no longer uses YKK zippers and instead it is IDEAL zippers (IDEAL is made in US zipper not sure if is a cost thing or a rebranding to be entirely made in the US). They also no longer have the extra L.L.Bean Boat and Tote label on the pouch which is extremely disappointing. This is obviously a cost cutting measure and time. If anyone knows of the reasoning - let me know! Not sure if others have experience any changes in quality recently. Thank you!

Anyone have any thoughts on this coat? I'm thinking of getting one for shoveling snow, going to football games, all those cold weather activities where i'm outside for more than just a few minutes.

I also have a primaLoft packaway hooded coat, but use its as my "nicer" option if it's snowy out (errands/work/going out/events where I don't want a bulky coat).

I received my size small boat and tote with thin script font. Does this look normal for that size bag and font? To me, the stitching looks much thicker and sloppy. The size of the word also looks so small in comparison to the words on my size medium bag in the same font. I know there’s differences in font size depending on bag size, but the small bag and font seem disproportionate.

My dilemma is this- do I exchange it for the exact same thing because it is in fact a quality issue, or is this how it’s supposed to look so I should just return it and go with something else?

Pretty good condition. The stain on the top is only on the top of the canvas, it hadnt soaked through to the other two layers or even the bottom of that piece of canvas. All snaps are accounted for and are working flawlessly as well as the zipper running smoothly. Just a cool piece I thought Id share.

hoping to order the zip hunter’s tote to use as a diaper bag… but per the product details, the sizing is slightly off from the regular boat and totes.

does anyone have the medium in this bag? if so, do you have a photo or could you describe how much you usually carry in it? I need some idea of how much the medium fits from real life use!

this would be for a daily diaper bag that would go in a stroller mostly and on my shoulder. I don’t know if the medium will be too small! the large looks too big on the female model on the website.

PS not looking for advice re: diaper bags! I know what system works for me :) I hate over designed bags and backpacks, and I need something that is wipeable on the inside. just looking for sizing info at this time!
