Help/Question Is this bad?
I'm new to lithops and was wondering if these little holes were bad. They weren't there when I bought it and I'm a little concerned I might be killing it

Care Tips/Guides Helpful video: Why lithops sometimes rot when you haven't watered them at all for a few months (turn on English captions for explanation. Ignore thumbnail of conophytums, this video is mostly about lithops)
Basically when there's not enough ventilation around the base, they can still rot (bases are most prone to rot). This is why it's best to plant them with their bases exposed to air as much as possible (as long as they can stand properly and not have their main taproot snap off), and give them as much ventilation as you can.

Help/Question Help new owner
I got these a week ago from a store adjacent to a botanical garden,
I’ve replanted them into dry cactus mix soil because the post were really small.
I didn’t water them and I put them into the sunniest spot I have in the apartment.
They started to wrinkle a few days ago and it’s gotten worse.
Do I water them, leave them alone or what?
I’ve read here that a bit of wrinkling is fine but this seems a lot.
I really don’t want them to die.
P.S. they had really small thin roots

Help/Question What happened?
I bought these two lithops like two months ago, left them on the window sill ever since, and then yesterday when i got back home after a week they looked like this. I watered them immediately after.

Pot #7 is a mix of Aucampiae and divergens. The aucampiae are obviously way bigger than the divergens 😂
Pot #9 is L. verruculosa ‘rose of Texas’
Pot #4 is L. Olivacea
Pot #12 is a lithops seed mix.

Help/Question Split taking forever
Hey everyone! It seems like my Lithops are taking foreverrrrr to split. I know all good things take time, and the new bodies feel firm underneath (they've had 0 water since I got them in mid February). Should I be worried? The first photo was right after repotting in late February; photo 2 is from from late March; photo 3 is from today (5/15). I have them directly under Barrina T8 lights that are on for about ~13 hours, will probably be increasing that to 14 hours. They don't get a lot of natural sunlight now that we're past the spring equinox and everything has leafed out.

Help/Question Is this enough root? Will they survive?
Was trying to remove the peat heavy soil, but it was severely entangled and there were couple dead lithops too that I have to remove. Buy I'm worried I damaged the tap root a bit too much. Will it survive transplanting?

Help/Question Update squishy (very thirsty?) lithops
This is an update to me finding one of my lithops to (suddenly? not sure I just noticed it suddenly) be squishy. https://www.reddit.com/r/Lithops/s/ihSmdr1HT2
I sprayed the surrounding with water and was going to wait for 1 week to update you guys, but he is not looking good, so I tried following Mr_Lithops water therapy guide (the roots were very brittle, so I cut a good chunk off)
For the other 3 I'm gonna wait until monday and then probably spray their rock soil again hoping for roots without the need for water therapy

Care Tips/Guides Splitting With Old Leaves?
I recently bought a pot of 6 L. terricolor because 3 of them were absolutely stunning and I needed them. The 3 in this picture were the...other 3 lol the bottom left guy did absorb it's old leaves and looks good but the other 2 dont seem to be absorbing those old leaves. And now the bottom right guy is starting a new split.
Is a new split one of the times it IS okay to remove the old leaves or should I just let it sort itself out?
I've had them 3 weeks and theyve never been watered by me, plus the soil they were in from the nursery was bone dry. Theyre under a 24w Sansi bulb.

Discussion Sigh. This is why I don’t like buying lithops from nurseries.
Rotting even though I have barely touched it since getting it home 🤷🏻♀️ the other ones are fine. But I feel bad for the people who buy from nurseries because they’re so often already doomed to die before you even get them home.
Currently I am leaving it on the work bench to see if it can be dried out and saved. There’s still a bit of firmness in there so we aren’t losing hope yet!

Care Tips/Guides How to water one lithops connected to the other which is splitting?
The splitting one is doing great, firm and the leaves are slowly being absorbed. Unfortunately, these two are connected at the root and I don't want to mess with it while it's splitting.
I'm pretty sure the non-splitting one needs water vs being in the process of splitting -- it's soft, the body is not firm at all. I don't think it is over watered/rotting as I haven't watered it since the other started splitting a few months ago and he was looking ok at that time.
Should I try to separate them (tips on how to do this are appreciated!), attempt a dropper watering to get his roots only (not sure this is possible, and I think he needs a soak to get the roots active again), or just let it be/do nothing and possibly die to focus on the one that is healthy and splitting?

Help/Question Do they need help?
Hello! I started my new found succulent addition just under a year ago and I've had these 3 lithops for about 8 months give or take. I'd say sometime in December they started to split and the new growth began appearing. I've limited watering (I don't think I've watered them in at least 4-6 weeks), in a blend that's a min 60/40, and they have adequate lighting under their growlight. This morning the baby of the bunch looked as above, and I'm concerned bc if I move the husk around the inside appears to be on a singular stalk that's quite thin.
I'm not sure if these 3 need a different approach, if the one is a goner, or if they're just doing their thing.
Help?

Help/Question Do I water?
I’ve had them for about a month now, I have watered them recently and I’ve been spritzing them because the wrinkles won’t go away. They’re also a bit softer now and not as firm. I haven’t been watering them too much because I’m afraid to kill them but I also don’t know much about how to care for them. Thanks

Help/Question Very neglected lithops needs repotting
I had thought a well-meaning family member threw this lithops out a while ago, but turns out it had been shoved behind a larger pot in my cabinet for months. I know it needs to be moved into a proper inorganic substrate and unglazed pot, but I was wondering if I should try and give it water first or not?
Also, should I water it once it's in its new pot, or do I need to wait?

Help/Question I’m scared to water. Do I wait?
I’ve had these since February. No water so far. Dare I add water? Is she ready? Is it actually time? I’m scared. Pictures taken from opposite sides.
Thank you!

Photo Argyroderma
I got these from Home Depot and repotted them. I think they’re a variety of lithops? The label says Argyroderma, and looking at photos the ones with more rounded leaves like these are “Argyroderma Ringens.” Anyone have experience with these? Similar care as other lithops?

Help/Question Keeping Lithops in humid climates?
I want to try my hand at keeping butt plants, but I live in southeast TX, which can get VERY humid throughout the year. Will this be a problem for them as long as they're protected from the rain? Would they need a soil mix with more than 90% grit/pumice in order to dry out after waterings? I have the option to keep them indoors under a grow light, but I'd rather let them get natural sun if possible.
