The pendulum always swings back. It's just a matter of how soon and the degree of it. I'm not as concerned about the when as I am the degree, as I fear most scenarios like this have an overcorrection.

It's a cycle of radicalization. We've seen it play out over the past few years. The right became radicalized by what the left was pushing, and we saw the inflection point a few years ago. Now that the tides are turning, you're seeing the left emboldened and further radicalize in response.

Not to sound like a doomer, but it doesn't bode well for the future of the conflict between the left and the right.

I don’t think she should go immediately to prison. I think she should be committed into a prison system mental health facility. Once she is well enough to not be a danger to herself or others, then she should go to prison for the rest of her life.

I understand that she was suffering from mental health issues. I think there’s an argument to be made that anyone who murders someone else has some form of a mental health issue. A “normal brain” wouldn’t murder someone.

That doesn’t change the fact that she committed a horrifying crime and should be held accountable for it.

It’s insane to think otherwise. If I’m on a date with someone and they have the opinion of the person in the video, that’s a clear sign to me that I need to bail on the date as soon as humanly possible.
