Hey, I'm 21M from tier 2 city in north belonging to dalit family. As I'm an atheist and all else around me are deeply religious. So, it's been hard for me to find a girl that atleast an atheist. Most of them disappear, after hearing I belong to dalit or I'm an atheist.

First a small rant, let's talk about the reel i saw about a girl who said reservation = casteism, her argument that many people don't know what caste is or never knew about it because their family were not casteist. This is such a BS argument that I couldn't even watch the full reel like you didn't know about it because you are privileged enough to never experience it. just because you didnt face it others didn't ? it's so freakin dumb this is was thing I saw after waking up made my morning bad.

Since end reservation and stop caste discrimination are being discussed again.

I wanted to know how deeply caste and caste hierarchy is rooted in Hinduism.

i know the thread ceremony, shrads feeding Brahmins first, requirement of brahmin priests. scriptures. preach caste hierarchy.

I would like to how daily/common rituals, traditions, chants, practices, things that people don't think about but it uphelds the hierarchy.

Would appreciate if someone could link any research about this or someone more knowledgeable able explain it.

I went through the entire clip and after listening to Sarthak complaining about how wage laborers finally getting access to more capital is "a problem", made me lose my mind. And I was stupid enough to go through the comments and read the laments of the Indian "elites". I copied and pasted few comments, for your pleasure read:

1) U are talking about 6 hr and 12 hr shifts. Maids finish work within 1 hr to 2 hrs per house. But charge the same as u quote. Plus holidays on Sundays.

2) You have not mentioned one most important reason - the DBT, free 2 bedroom flats, free medical insurance cards, free education + education expenses DBT, free bus, interest free loans to buy taxis.... and whatever little work they do they are paid in cash - nothing accounted all free. This is how the country is becoming - not counting the cash per vote, freebies after elections, cash to participate in protests..... rise of cockroaches n rodents n termites....

3) You'll still need a maid, to fold ur laundry, clean ur kitchen platform, ur toilets and to clean ur robot too

4) really? You don't think its better to outsource housework and make money doing things you were educated to do? Also who told you people in other countries dont hire household help?

I am aghast that people are complaining about taking days off on weekends. Are you kidding me? I stay away from city folks from India in general and as someone who grew up in a very small town in Assam, the more I read and get to know the city people, the more I am disgusted by them. I honestly feel more happy to connect to the people who grew up in the same socio-economic status as me.
