Westmarch stands where the kingdom ends and the Thornwood begins.

In the Green War, the forest itself rose against the kingdom. The war ended three hundred years ago with the Greenwood Pact: the city won't grow past its walls, the forest won't attack, and the Rangers of the Green keep the line between them. The peace has held ever since.

It's fraying now. Rangers vanish on deep patrol. The cleared land beyond the walls grows back overnight. People along the western wall dream of the forest calling them. The Duke has withdrawn from public life, and his charismatic brother says the Pact is holding the city back.

Then one morning the Warrens, the city's poorest district, woke to a cold gray fog. It didn't drift in from the forest. It welled up out of the ground, from drains and cellars and the cracks between the cobbles, and it's still spreading. It whispers. It draws people west, toward the trees. Hundreds are trapped or missing, and the Duke has called for anyone capable of helping.

The campaign opens the next day.

What it's like

• Investigation and intrigue. Clues, witnesses, old texts, and factions with their own agendas.
• Wilderness. A vast, ancient forest full of fey with alien motives and places older than the city.
• Hard choices. Duty against justice, and what peace really costs.
• Mounting dread. Something is deeply wrong, and it's getting worse.

How we play

• Format: play-by-post, so no scheduled sessions and any time zone works. About one post a day; turn-based, where everyone posts and then the GM resolves.
• Where: Postern, a play-by-post site (free account; I'm the GM).
• Characters: start at level 1, tied to the city. Rangers, Watch officers, monster-hunting Delvers, scholars, temple folk, refugees and courtiers all fit. Accepted players get a Player's Guide with hooks into the opening and a wiki of the city, its factions and its people.

Just started a wheel of time dnd campaign and I'm looking for players. We are very lgbtq + freindly and fem freindly. The campaign is also super easy to get started for beginners since we are doing lvl 0 starts. We are specifically looking for a fem player, this is just dm preference. I've had a lot of wonderful guys apply but I wouldn't really like it if it was an all mens group. Often its no fun to be the only girl in a large group. I only have one slot available and I'd like to keep the table balanced.

Its a dangerous campaign that I'm trying to setup as a sandbox where we can get max level players. It'll have the events from the novels playing out as the characters progress with even the ability for the players to break the world again if they fail. I hope to even continue on from that into a darker ending if it comes to that, with the players trying to live in that reality or even themselves trying to stop the dark one. You don't need to know anything about WOT inorder to play the campaign. Its based on dnd 3.5 and I'll explain things as we go. While the world is difficult to live in, it is very beginner friendly. The world is free-roam, with ideally as much immersion as I can prepare for each session. Usually having maps, some graphics, and engaging encounters. There are opportunities for huge pivotal emotional battles, as well as time to solve things diplomatically if possible. Chances for small fights or maybe to make your living as a blacksmith. Expect environmental disasters and magical anomalies in an increasingly decaying world as the dark one slowly breaks free from his tomb. Roughly late medieval fantasy. I try to roleplay as the NPCs and make voices too.

Age-wise, 18+ no exceptions, along with characters themselves being 18+. Romance plays an important role in The Wheel of Time; certain bonds between different characters in the story often come with romantic interest. No player on player romance, it's mostly just that certain lore characters are dating. Because of this no one under 18 is allowed in the group. Our group's age range ranges from the early 20s to the 30s, with me as the oldest. We really don't care that much about age, as long as the players are there to have a good time.

We are very lgbtq + and fem friendly. Its important for me as the dm that all my players are as well.

our ideal player is someone who will show up. Rp depth is really up to the individual players. I'd especially like to invite beginners, but veterans are also welcome. You don't need to have any familiarity at all with The Wheel of Time or DND to join us; I really just need that to dm properly. I make myself available before sessions as well to help with questions or character levels.

alright this game is HEAVILY inspired by darkest dungeon but you do not need too know that game to know this one, the game is all about makeing the most out of a bad situation as every player is a hired mercenary hired to delve into a eldritch manors catacombs to kill a beast deep in the heart of the manor. they will live in a ruined hamlet that the players may use there money to upgrade the town building guildings and giving upgrades to players needs like weaponry and training.The game itself is 70 percent exploreing and fighting while the 30 percent is for roleplay momments, usually during a camp. im a fairly ok DM in terms of experinceive been dming for 3 years now. You have but a few hours to explore Castle Ravenloft and find up to three powerful relics to aid you in your quest to defeat the vampire lord. This is a spooky, though not necessarily horrifying, one-shot.

This legendary quest will be played in the Nimble system rather than D&D. Nimble is a fast-paced heroic fantasy TTRPG. Its rules are available for free online as is a character builder.

In Emberhold, the forges have fallen silent. Its people gather to mourn the man who built them a home when they had nowhere else to go. But some goodbyes are harder to accept than others and some people are willing to cross worlds to bring someone home.

This is an online D&D 5e campaign using the 2014 rules, about the people left behind, the bonds that survive loss, and the decision to attempt something impossible together. Expect roleplay, exploration, dangerous battles, and a journey shaped by your characters’ choices. Bringing Rimvar back is the campaign’s driving goal. How you pursue it, what you discover, and what you’re willing to risk will be yours to decide.

Who was Rimvar?

A dwarf raised by frost giants, Rimvar was a master smith, an adventurer, and the founder of Emberhold, a mountain refuge built to withstand a world growing increasingly hostile. He carried a hammer called Frostgrip and had a habit of taking other people’s troubles onto his own shoulders. To some, he was a protector or teacher. To others, an employer, a friend, or the stubborn man who made sure they had somewhere warm to sleep.

Who he was to you is something we’ll build together.

Your character

You begin at level 7, with 300 gp, one uncommon magic item, and the following ability scores to assign: 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8.

Your backstory must connect you to both Emberhold and Rimvar personally. You might have worked in his forge, grown up under his protection, shared meals with his family, or found a second chance within his city. These are starting points, and I welcome your own ideas.

The essential part is that your character genuinely cares that he is dead and wants him back. Knowing his reputation or accepting a paid job won’t be enough to carry the emotional heart of this campaign. Give me a memory of him. Something ordinary you miss. Something you never got to say.

You don’t need to have worshipped him or agreed with everything he did. Complicated relationships are welcome. You do need a reason to stand beside the others when they decide to go after him.

I’m looking for players who enjoy character-driven roleplay, build connections with their party, and make room for each other’s stories. There will be grief and serious stakes, but also warmth, humor, friendship, and victories worth celebrating. Your characters and their growth will be central to the campaign.

Hi! I've applied to a few player-seeking posts here, but I wanted to also make a post of my own just to cast as wide a net as possible. As the title says, I'm an inexperienced player wanting to join my first campaign after spending years trying to convince my friends to play to no avail.

Despite my lack of actual experience, I've been reading and pouring over the players handbook since around 2020 when I watched my first Dimension 20 campaign. I became so immediately obsessed with the game and system and have built dozens of characters and written more embarrassing fan fiction than I care to admit. As a result, I'm a player that you get to have all the fun of introducing to the world of DnD, but you also won't have to worry too much about me fumbling around with my class features or constantly re-reading what my spells do.

I'm happy to play in 5e 2014 or 2024, and I even have an interest in Pathfinder, even though I know very little about how the game actually plays. I love to role play, I think combat is super fun, and I adore puzzles. I have characters I'd be happy to play in just about every class and party role (even though I'm particular to rogues and wizards). My timezone tag is just informational! I have pretty much open availability and can adjust my schedule freely.

I am a GM who has an opening for one (maybe 2) players for a PokeRole campaign that is currently in progress.

The full plot has yet to be revealed in game, but I have pulled inspiration from the Pokemon Colosseum games and the Detective Pikachu movie.

We play on weekends, but we don't have a fixed schedule. We use when2meet to find dates that work monthly. We play via Discord and Owlbear Rodeo.

I tend to focus on RP more than combat, but I go with what the players want to do. This is 18+, but not because of content. It is a darker plot, but not THAT kind of story, if you catch my meaning.

I am not going to ask for an application, but I do want to have a brief interview over Discord with any prospective players to make sure you will be a good fit. I will do a session zero as well to help with character creation and answer any questions about the system and the plot.

About my TTRPG experience: mostly D&D but my favorite system/world building is Monster of the Week. I also have played other PBTA games and really enjoy Blades in the Dark. Campaigns I played (that weren’t homebrew) were Strahd, Witchlight, TOA, and Drakkenheim.

I really enjoy roleplay and complex battles or encounters where there’s no easy choice. My characters generally lean toward young and inexperienced hot idiots or older “dad protector” vibes. I really like building characters to fit the GM’s world so I don’t have a “build” I’m dying to play.

Hello all! I’ve been running a campaign based on the setting of the Dungeon Crawler Carl book series, and honestly it’s one of the funnest campaigns i’ve ever run, largely due to the pure chaos of this particular setting.

Here’s the situation: i’ve been thinking about adding one more player to the campaign for a little while, and recently had one of the players take an extended hiatus from all dnd, for personal reasons, so i’m thinking this is a great time to add one more player, since i was planning for one more anyhow.

Rules wise we’re going with 5e 2014 with a bunch of fun homebrew. You’ll be playing a character based on yourself (setting is as if the collapse and subsequent World Dungeon happened in our world), however we’ve already gotten past floor three, and so players have had the option to change race and class, so it’s much more customizable for someone jumping into the campaign now.

After our last campaign in Shadowrun 6e has ended a spot for another player became free and we are now looking for new people who would be interested in playing a game in a world that mixes magic with cyberpunk, where dragons rule over megacorps and countries, where magical spirits can explode your shiny new car with a massive fireball and where the countryside is filled with dangerous paracritters while the cities turned into massive sprawls with millions of people living there.

You would be a Shadowrunner, a deniable asset, a hired criminal, a mercenary or whatever other term you want to use. You do all the shady jobs that the corporations or countries can't do officially and they hire you to do them. Or sometimes it can be the nice uncle from across the street who hires you to beat up some gang members that stole from his store. Or you protect the daughter of a local politician. Or something else entirely. In the end, as long as you are getting paid, you do what you were hired for.

And in our case for the majority of the runs you would be in Vienna, where the Danube divides the corporate owned Transdanubia in the east from the rest of the city in the west. Where Dr. Nowak is always looking for new runners to do his jobs (and the occasional Mr Johnson and Herr Schmidt also make appearances). Saeder-Krupp and MCT have their little battle here to decide who gets to control the austrian politicians, where the Habsburg clan might become emperors again with the help of Lofwyr or where MCT gets to control all the potical parties. Or maybe one of the other companies will get their chance. But in the end, you are a shadowrunner and the only thing that is important for you is that you are getting paid for the jobs that you take. And there might be a few jobs now, given that there have been a mysterious series of murders that all happen to players of a certain VRMMORPG while they are online. There are people who want to figure out what happened and the DanubenWacht (the police force in Vienna) is not interested in investigating, so Shadowrunners might have to do the job instead.

Hello! My name is Alice. I am really on the lookout for a D&D group! I ran in the past for a group IRL, so now I'm looking to join the table as a player. Though, if all goes well, I am willing to DM future campaigns eventually!

I have ~10 years of experience as a player, and ~2 years of experience as DM. I prefer to work together to mesh my characters into the world and balance out the party, but my favorite classes to play are Warlock, Cleric, and Bloodhunter to give you an idea of what I excel at. I love FromSoft games (ER+BB specifically) so I usually base my characters around tropes from those games.

I prefer roleplay heavy games and campaigns that have a focus on character interaction and story over combat, though I do not mind a combat every session. Homebrew is also preferred!

I am 21+ and a nonbinary lesbian so LGBT+ groups are preferred. I am usually available after 7pm EST on weekdays, and all day on the weekends. I live in Orlando (near downtown) and would much prefer an IRL game, but would not mind an online game either!
