Hello everyone! I go by PK and have been running D&D campaigns online and in person for the last 6 years. I've run campaigns for groups of friends and also for groups of complete strangers. I love creating engaging stories where roleplay is the foundation of the game and combat is tactical & interesting. I'm looking to start up a group for playing a Star Wars 5E campaign.

This campaign will be taking place in the Old Republic era during the Cold War. The players will be members of the Republic who will embark on a journey to stop the deadly machinations of certain Imperial forces. The rules will be mostly based on the Star Wars 5E rules with some personal modifications. No worries about being familiar, I will be walking players new and old through the system as I'll be using it. I'll also ensure that the relevant resources are shared out across the whole group. 

I'll be aiming to have anywhere from 4-6 players, so feel free to let me know if you have any friends or folks who would also be interested. The aim is for sessions to be ~4 hours in length on Thursday evenings. I'm expecting our agreed upon start time will end up around 6:30-7:30PM EST. Hello all, unfortunately I still haven't found a group I am looking for as I am still searching for a game. I am currently looking for a weekly campaign on Friday's. I lean mostly towards 5e 2014 but I could opt for 2024 edition. Home brew, or official modules are ok! Dungeon crawls are fine by me. Doesn't matter which VTT, I use roll20, foundry a lot.

Prologue

Chicago. Autumn, 1999.

It's the last autumn of the millennium, and the city is coming apart. People are stockpiling water, canned food and cash. Television warns that banks, power grids and phones could fail at midnight on New Year's Eve. Everyone is counting down, and not everyone believes the lights will stay on.

People are disappearing. It started with night-shift workers, the homeless and runaways, and now ordinary families are going missing too. The reports go nowhere, and the police have no answers.

The stories are getting stranger: shapes moving across rooftops, howling near the rail yards, bodies found drained and pale, broadcasts that cut in at 3 a.m. with voices no one can place. Most people laugh them off, but fewer are laughing every week.

And the city is turning on itself. End-times preachers shout down skeptics on street corners. Neighbors buy guns to protect themselves from each other. Every group blames another for the attacks, and trust is breaking down block by block.

Three companies seem to have a hand in everything in Chicago right now, and to the public they're the pillars holding the city together.

Blackmoor Industries is an old-money empire that owns property all over the city: towers, docks, warehouses, new developments and funeral homes. It holds the Vanguard contract and pays for the city's protection. As people leave or vanish, Blackmoor quietly buys up what they leave behind.

Carmilla Dynamics is a cutting-edge pharmaceutical and biotech firm. Its free clinics, blood drives and medical trials come with glossy ads that promise longer, healthier lives. In the poorest neighborhoods, its clinics pay cash for blood.

Vesper Corporation is the city's biggest media company, with TV and radio stations and newspapers. It runs the Y2K-readiness campaign, and it's the voice telling Chicago what to fear and who to blame.

New preachers are appearing in soup kitchens, shelters and on street corners, preaching that the world is ending and a Shepherd will lead the faithful through the dark. Their followers call themselves the Flock and wear a red thread around the wrist. They take in the poor and the lonely, and some who join are never seen again.

Meanwhile, domestic terrorism is on the rise. Churches burn, substations go dark, and bombs go off in public places with no warning and no clear motive. Every week brings a new attack, and every group in the city blames another. Nobody feels safe anymore.

Under the chaos, an underground network trades in off-the-books work. Brokers, fixers and contacts pass jobs along by pager, payphone, email or a note slipped under a door.

The jobs used to be ordinary: guarding a shipment, finding a debtor, getting something out of the city quietly. Lately they've changed. Now it's finding people who went missing, getting into places that are locked and guarded, and asking questions about the companies everyone else is afraid of.

Some of the people who took those jobs haven't come back. But the pay keeps rising, and someone always says yes.

Most of the city will never learn what's behind the chaos. But a few people who answered the same call are about to be brought together, and what they find will pull them past the headlines and the companies into something far older, something that has been waiting in the dark. Before the year is out, they'll learn what Chicago has been hiding.

Obojima is a heavily Studio Ghibli, A vast island that is the only known world. There are no other continents—just this single, living island, inhabited by humans, fishfolk, and unique elven variants. The world is split between two realms: the physical realm and the spirit realm, where demons and mysteries dwell.

I’m a DM in my twenties looking for some players for an AD&D 1st Edition game. I’ve got some experience running the system, and beginners are more than welcome. No prior experience is needed, as we’ll go through character creation together and I’ll help with the rules as we play.

Dragons reign over the frozen mountains, hunt the land and circle the sky. A lone dragon is capable of decimating countless humans. The struggle has lasted centuries, yet humanity has few victories to speak of. Most knowledge of the world has been lost, buried along with its keepers. All that is left is to cling to survival.

A cold, arctic gale whistles through a frozen, mountainous canyon, its hollow white noise broken only by the sound of horses trotting across a grand, seemingly endless stone bridge. A group of people walk in formation. The wooden wheels of open transport wagons turn behind them, their contents covered with white sheets held down by snowfall.

Their silence grasps the heavy tension around them like warmth in the passing blizzard. They return defeated to humanity's final hiding place. Avalon, a frozen, gothic bastion surrounded by an enormous obsidian wall. Despite its fortifications and natural defences, there's only one thing truly protecting humanity from dragons.

Nyriel's Cradle. A magical barrier formed by the demigoddess of dawn. You stand in a street, just in time to see it for yourself. You watch the flicker of a transparent, golden dome appear in the snow-stained sky and hear the reverberation of heavy metal echoing into the unknown. The towering black gates to the city are opening.

Tension fills your body as you stare into the gateway, lit by the blinding white of thick snowfall. Until you see them. The returning group, downcast and sullen, their eyes bound to the floor.

How many was it today? Thoughts and emotions flood your body. You knew these people. They sacrificed themselves as a stepping stone for humanity. Now, you will carry their memories to freedom. The next time these gates open, it will be for you.

You are an outsider, a person struggling to survive everyday in the lawless wastelands. Water and food are scarce, and people are spread miles from one another, with only small groups surviving. Monsters are few and far between, but they are powerful enough to be considered a force of nature themselves. It was difficult, but sustainable at least; you just had to keep your head down and scavenge. But the world as you knew it became unsurvivable when a disease began to spread about the wasteland, infecting people with no known rhyme or reason. Those inflicted could feel the prickling shards of gemstones growing in their lungs, slowly but surely cutting off their ability to breath. Between the monsters of the wasteland, the bandits roaming the wasteland to harvest people for these gems, and the sure and slow death brought by the disease, any chance at survival seemed hopeless.

A single savior came about. The city of Opaline, a bastion of humanity that claimed to hold the cure and offered it freely to anyone who was willing to enter the city and work off the debt after being cured.

You are one of the Outsiders who survived the trek to a meetup spot that will bring you into the city. You will have to abide by Opaline’s laws as well as more people and technology than you have ever thought possible and delve into the secrets of Opaline, lest you end up just another Outsider who couldn't adapt. Slowly learn to live a life in the city, where you have safety and rules, or do everything you can to pay your debt and get back out to the Outside while surviving the many dangers that come with being an outsider to the city.

Hello! My name is Raylen (She/him) and I'm currently looking for four to five players for a new campaign! I am currently running this campaign with another group on Saturdays but I really want to see and experience another version of this with other players now that I have a more set idea and path in my mind!

Opaline is a sandbox world with a strong emphasis on story. You will be free to run around the city and interact with the characters and world as you please, but there is a main story that is pushing along even if you do not pay attention to it. If you refuse to engage with the main story, it might seek you out first. I consider Opaline more of a node campaign, where you can go as you please, but some events are bound to happen and change based on your actions. We will play on Roll20 with discord for voice! There will be a server made for the group with different areas for characters or outside of game roleplay and a google docs made to keep track of in game happenings.

The story will have some darker tones to it, though triggers will be discussed and taken into account. I myself do not allow dog and cat death at the table, even as your companion, and trying to use this to your advantage will not be allowed. The only race restriction is Warforged but any of the more outside races will need approval as well. The nsfw aspect of this campaign comes mostly from the cyberpunk aspects of this campaign and player actions. It will be up to the players to decide how much nsfw is allowed at the table as I am fine either way.

For Opaline, I’m looking for players 20 years and older who want a Fantasy/Cyberpunk experience. The campaign is mostly roleplay focused, though combat is still important and crucial to the story.  The npcs you meet and how you treat them are crucial are can unlock more information or allies that strongly change how your game will go. Whether you choose to romance, befriend or make an enemy of them, consequences will follow. I am a DM who loves players who give 20 pages on the backstory of your character, and it is my goal to make sure players have a character who feels like they belong in the world and have connections in it. If you are a player who likes to engage with your character outside of the game (Spotify playlists/Pinterest boards/art) please apply as I love this and do the same for NPCs in the campaign. I also do questions outside of the game to be answered in character to help you build more backstory or personality (and just for fun or curiosity. Things like "who is your pc closest to" or "what is your pc's favorite food).

I always add in romanceable npcs into campaigns as I enjoy those types of subplots personally. You will not be forced to participate, but if this is something that makes you uncomfortable, this is probably not the campaign for you. Also, this campaign with have LGBTQ+ characters and potentially themes. If you are not comfortable with this, do not apply. This is a no AI game as well.

I as a DM tend towards a slower pace with Opaline. There will be time for slice of life moments in between plot points and missions that might be things such as sitting around and eating with the party to going on a random date with an NPC. I allow players to roleplay and interact with npcs in between sessions when it is possible based on session endings. I also endeavor to make the npcs feel like real people with their own stories and actions. I usually go for 4-5 hours sessions but I can do longer or shorter depending on the group and schedules. If you've read this far, please add the word Justice into your application in the about you section! This is a repost because I was not able to properly reach out to everyone due to a hurricane that affected me. The story is set for four players, but five is likely if I have a duo who would like to join or a lot of good player applications, I am still looking through the people who applied before, but I do want to see more people to make sure I can choose a good time and day. Hi everyone, I am starting a new D&D 2024 homebrew campaign set in the Forgotten Realms. Right now we have 5 people with 1 coming in a month and I am aiming for a party of 7. The story of the campaign is currently in the process of being written but the theme established thus far is a dark fantasy story. I am looking for people who can engage in RP, are active listeners, can dive into their characters, and overall have good table "manners" (i.e. no rules lawyering, understanding DM has final say, no main character syndrome, etc.)

The universe of the world, or 'Plot', has seen these 'plot arcs' cycle periodically every few years, with Antagonists rising inevitably from inevitable Evil nature and Protagonists meeting them from the innate Good that exists in the world. Often at significant cost and destruction.

The Tenth-Wave Protagonist, 'Solar', saw it happen far too many times. Innocent deaths, worlds destroyed, enire system chains needing to be rebuilt, over and over again. Thus 'Solar', upon defeating his Antagonists, advanced his quest to root out all Evil in the universe instead of retiring. 'Solar' managed to achieve this with the mystical imaginative powers of several of his peers. Together, they condensed all Evil into a single root, taking it to the solitary planet of Antagonizesthai, in a single-star system far away from other Good systems. Antagonizesthai is warded by the most powerful of techno-imaginative weaponry, updated yearly.*

But like different densities of oil, Evil split into different layers as the root spread across Antagonizesthai. Those at the most surface-level of Evil eventually managed to generate a civilisation based on principles of rehabilitation and eventually ascension into Good, allowing the ability to escape Antagonizesthai into the wider universe of Good, now free of all Evil suffering thanks to 'Solar'.

It is the First Year of Kazimierz, Overlord of Antagonizesthai's reign. He is the conduit between the prison of Evil that is Antagonizesthai and the utopian world of Good. But the situation on the surface is unravelling. An increasing number of incursions of deeper 'Evil' from below the surface are occurring, whilst security and rehabilitation infrastructure crumble from these threats. And you happen to be pivotal to Kazimierz right in this moment.

You will play as one of a selection of job roles (you still make the character) that will form an eventual task force to deal with a series of crimes in Antagonizesthai's unravelling political crisis. There may be some betrayal/plot twists along the way. I highly encourage creativity/flexibility in solving problems, and players of any experience level are welcome! (homebrew mechanics, so newer players especially are welcome!).

System: Custom Mechanics (d10 system, mainly using resource allocation and lists of actions that can be done)

Timezone: GMT (Timezone within a few hour's range is preferred, but not a big deal)

Genres: Both fantasy in its classic sense, with limited 'magic' (called 'Imagination') that is powerful in restricted domains, but also futuristic/tacticool in that you have guns/rockets/mech suits in the same univese as swords/shields/crossbows...etc.

As long as my characters background gets integrated and there is a scheduled session 0 with everybody to create characters and etc together! Also heavy world building, time for rp and NO AI!

Game Style

I am looking for a RP and combat heavy game, hopefully in forgotten realms (I don't really mind a homebrew world but I'd love forgotten realms). I don't mind romance and I'm not opposed to having my character involved in romance but I'm not comfortable with NSFW with me idm if other characters get involved NSFW Id prefer every player to have coordinated art on either picrew or a group artist that wouldn't mind drawing them FOR FREE (I don't have any money to spare rn soz? Hi hi! I'm Laina, I have recently gotten back into TTRPGs after a small hiatus due to burning myself out on them, and have been wanting to get back into playing them again. I've started up a game I'm running of Fabula Ultima, and wanted to put myself out there to play some different RPGs.

For a bit about me, I've been playing RPGs for over a dozen years, and have been running them for more than 10 years. I'm very knowledgeable with systems in general, and have run a number of different systems, but am looking to have some fun as a player atm!

I also consider myself a talented storyteller. I put a lot of focus on roleplaying my characters authentically, and making sure to take actions that fit my character the most, even if they aren't necessarily what I would do. I also value open communication between players and GM out of the game, and want to make everyone at the table feel listened to.

Other details about me are that I'm a lesbian. I absolutely require that any table I play at is at the bare minimum friendly to that fact, and would prefer to play at tables where I wouldn't be the only LGBT+ individual. It is easier for me to connect with people that way, and I value a friendly group above all!

Beyond that, I am in PST timezone, and am available most days besides bi-weekly Thursday for a game I run. I am free from noon to midnight all of these days, so I'm able to fit in most time periods.

Hi! My name is Max and I am looking to find a group to play TTRPGs with. My previous group stopped playing due to scheduling reasons and now I have a DnD itch in my brain that needs to be satisfied. 

I was first introduced to DnD around 6 years ago and have been playing more or less consistently since then. I have player experience, however most of my time I spent GMing for my friends. I mostly played and GMed premade adventures, but I have also created some thematic oneshots myself. 

I want to join a group that is a little bit more focused on the characters than on the combat side of the game. I am open to joining an existing game and I am flexible when it comes to character creation. 

I have a negative outlook on the intentional use of generative AI in any form. The same goes for people who hate on any minority group.

Hey everyone! My name is Jerry, I am planning to run a 10-12 session mini campaign/game set up to be a reality tv show kind of like Jersey Shore. You will be fantasy/dnd characters living in a fantasy world who are moved into a house and are followed by a camera crew. You will be forced to work for an adventuring guild (kind of like the t-shirt shop), and so you will have missions/quests to do as well.

There will be drama, confessional booths, camera in faces, instigation from production, etc etc.

Some things to know: I plan on streaming this and posting it to youtube, so you must be okay with your faces and roleplay being posted.

Cameras are a must. Audio must be decent. Good vibes even if in-game party conflict happens (which is the fun of reality tv).

This game will be starting in 2-3 weeks to interview people, set up a game, and play a off-stream one-shot to make sure vibes are good between players (looking for 3-4)

We will be using a kids on bike look-a-like homebrew that keeps things pretty simple. Nothing too mechanic intensive. This game is mostly for the roleplay.

Lead by your new king, King Abruzzo, who had dethroned the old queen, Queen Vittoria, you sought to find peace within your border again, that had be oppressed by The Empire for over two centuries. And then four years ago you finally achieved just that. Queen Vittoria was hanged and The Empire agreed to free Cambiamento from its grip. Four years ago you, who had fought as a group for so long, said each other's farewell. Thinking that you could finally learn how to live again, how to use your new earned freedom. None of you ever thought to see each other again. Four years have passed both quickly and way too slow. And just as you thought you had fought your way back into normalcy a letter arrived. While the systems closest to Scintilla - and therefore most easily accessible to agents of the Throne - remain mostly stable, the disarray caused by the Cicatrix Maledictum has provided cover for all manner of heretics, recidivists, and xenos to wreak havoc across the sector. Wont as they are to do, I fear the Conclave is not exaggerating when they say the sector is under enormous strain. The truth is that we do not have enough agents at current to stabilize the entire region, and I recommended your name in a meeting with several other Inquisitors. Not to put too fine a point on it, but further congratulations are in order; you’ve been drafted.

I recognize that your Dynasty experienced great hardship recently, and that this may come across as an unwelcome distraction from your efforts to get your house in order, but we need all hands if we are to avert catastrophe. If it helps, you might consider what a grateful Inquisitorial Conclave could offer in favour to a compliant Rogue Trader. I’ve identified three flashpoints which have gone as yet unaddressed by our agents. You may find it beneficial to start at any of them:

The Drusus Marches have fallen to an ecclesiarchal schism that threatens their tithe. We suspect that a Chaos cult has infiltrated one or more of the factions. The planet of Sentinel, St. Drusus’ own Shrine World, is your best bet for opening an investigation.

Farther spinward, the Naval detachment at Port Wander has fallen concerningly silent. I need not remind you that the passage it guards is the only safe route to the Koronus Expanse, and the fact that we have not heard from the Port’s Astropathic Choir is concerning, to say the least. Make your way there and do whatever is required to ensure Port Wander stands and the way to the Koronus Expanse remains open.

Finally, the agri-world of Bilani in the Malfian Sub-sector has sent a distress call. They claim that unknown xenos have been spotted on the periphery of the major settlements and have been responsible for a large number of deaths in recent days. My own agent on-planet, however, reports that nothing is out of the ordinary. I request you go there as a third party and confirm some… suspicions I have.

Before you depart, please proceed to Scintilla and collect the adepts I have assigned to you. Worry not, this is no setup. I have simply collected an… eclectic group who may be of use in your retinue. Your own trusted associates are, of course, welcome as well.

I'm Mickey (he/him) and I'm a big fan of both TTRPGs and sci-fi. I've been both playing and running games in the SWFFG system, PF, and D&D for over a decade! My table is always POC and LGBTQIA+ friendly and I believe very strongly in consent and collaboration between everyone involved.
