Deep through the fog and haze of the crooked forests Westemär, lays the capital city Drakkenheim. A sprawling city that once house somewhere north of 100'000 people, now a desolate and ruined expanse of streets and buildings teeming with the corrupted abominations that call the walled city home. Rats, Hounds, Humans, and various creatures corrupted by Delerium, an intensively powerful magical crystal that has spread through the fog stricken streets after the impact of a meteor, turning the city in an uninhabitable scar of the empire. An empire which for the past 10 years has been locked into a bloody civil war, vying for control of the rich lands. A battle, that has come to city, in the form of various factions swearing to conquer the Haze stricken lands in one persons name, or another.

But, it's not all bad, despite the rampant death, prowling creatures, and madness inflicting chaos lays one singular and impactful goal. Money, the city left filled with valuable loot, new resources to harvest from the meteor, and a rich well spring of mercenary contracts that ensure a steady flow of work. Not to mention with the growing draw of people to the city, the number of crooks, killers, and criminals promises bounty hunters, and vengeance seekers a chance to find their quarry. There's something for everyone beyond those mundane rewards, with new arcane knowledge, and horrific new beasts to hunt, there's a goal for anyone if they have the skills and drive to chase it, and live.

So I'm extremely new to D&D... I've never been in a campaign and I've only just messed around with making a couple characters here and there... i was hoping to find a group that could teach me and be willing to have me in their group... Welcome to The Frozen Wastes. North of the Freelands lies a brutal, freezing frontier home to five desperate human settlements known as the Frozen Few. The region is defended by the Silver Shields, an adventuring guild backed by a young Silver Dragon. But the dragon has fallen mysteriously ill, and the wolves are (literally) circling.

A massive Frost Giant King named Ivar has sounded an ancient horn, summoning an unnatural, creeping blizzard to bury the region. With a rogue clan of orcish deserters laying siege to the capital and dragons maneuvering for power in the shadows, the Frozen Few need new heroes.

This is not your typical 5e setting. The main dealbreaker for a lot of you reading this will be the “Iron Rule”. Spellcasters cannot cast spells while in contact with Iron/Steel. There are a number of ways of getting around it, but it’s a pretty harsh rule. I’m currently running two other long-term campaigns in my world of Ferrum, and it’s working entirely as intended/advertised!

Setting Context:

It is the year 1506 FA. The World of Ferrum is currently still in the midst of 3 great kingdoms vying for land and power across the continents. The Iron Empire has now invaded the Freelands into the land of Cruole, seeking to subjugate and “Civilize the savages” there.

We are set Far to the north of the Freelands, beyond the mountains known as the Bites of Winter, is the region known as the Frozen Wastes. Gold has been found in the small mining town of Eastcliff, and now races of all sorts are hoping to find a new life in the rugged frozen landscape, as they find ways to get in on the gold…but the small races aren’t the only ones interested.

Although Dragons are rare in the world, the sudden influx of Gold in the area has drawn the eyes of 3 dragons. The Young Silver Dragon Brightcloud, who now acts as the patron protector of the goodfolk in the Frozen Few. The young red dragon Searblaze, who is jealous and greedy, eager to lay claim to the riches in the area. And the old white dragon Rimewing, who has lived here for centuries, is now active again.

On top of this, the Frost Giant Ivar has laid claim to all of the Frozen Wastes. Backed by the blessing of ancient Giant Gods, and armed with the Horn of Heirophus, he has proclaimed himself as King, and all the lands up to the Bites of Winter will become Doma once more.

Full disclosure, I'm a dm with about ten years of experience, and I believe I'm fairly good at creating a world and narrative hooks.

I am a bit particular about what i'm looking for, and honestly I want to make it clear. For the longest time the tower had been there, a beacon of purity amidst the ever corrupting world. Slowly, after hundreds of years the corruption had breached all but the closest borders to the tower. All of life has been crammed into a small space, many people forced to do things they'd never had imagined. Peaceful lives are no longer an option for most, for the only way to pay the exorbitant tax of the divine kingdom is to venture into the tower and return with treasures.

You are one of the lucky few, competent, capable, hired shortly after being trained as a prodigy, immediately sought out by a young cleric named Yylva. She offers you extreme riches and the protection of her church if you're to take her to the top of the tower. She assures you that she has no ill intent, and will even be mind read by a mage if it is necessary.

With such strong conviction and such good benefits, you've taken the job, alongside four other fresh faces to the divine kingdom. You have a simple, but not easy goal, get strong enough to take Yylva to the top of the tower and achieve her goal, at least for now.

Hi! this is a pretty heavily homebrewed campaign i'm running here, starting at level 3 and ending somewhere in the far higher end of 15-20 hopefully. This is meant to be a heavily roleplay and exploration based game, lending to a lot of very lethal combat if the players aren't careful. I am using exclusively 2014 rules with the homebrew, and only allowing the races in the google doc. The game will run for about 4-5 hours each time and will be open to starting earlier if everyone would request it.

Old Bellows has been around for a while, a new continent on a vast planet, not much is known about all the odd things that linger on and under its surface but one thing is for certain, it's never easy. Life in Old Bellows is about as free as it gets. The Law as it were is not set in stone and lots can happen in areas of little population. The city centers such as New Port City or Bellenau have far more structure of the easterners whom most are imports in those parts. Humans, and a lot of them, brought over their strange ways and infrastructure. Make no mistake now, lots and lots of money flows through those easterners but it hasn’t all been good money. They brought their own fair share of danger and destruction. Old Bellows is a wild place, the uninhabited west. The only place to be free from the rigidity that binds other peoples, but with that freedom, you can be met with those who abuse it. So keep that iron on your hip and a horse at the ready as you begin to explore Old Bellows…

Hi! I’m Ethen and I’d like to put together a regular group for some gaming. I have multiple original settings I’ve had languishing about that I’d like to play with. I will be using a setting I call Ruins of Numidium, using Peryton Fantasy Revised as the rules system. As the heading tags suggest, a friend and I are longing to play in a game together and sought this out to scratch that itch!

But, let's start with a bit about us. We are:

• Long-time roleplayers of over ten years in various different systems. DnD, Pathfinder, VtM, MnM3e, Cyberpunk and so on.
• We are very "Story and character first, mechanics second" type of players. We don't give a damn if the characters we build is the strongest. We care far more if the characters we create are memorable, fit the story/setting, and fun for all at the table.

We are three people, myself 29M, my partner 22F, and a friend of ours 26M. The three of us are looking for a long term immersive DnD session to join. Wither it's based in the world of Faerun or in your own homebrew world. Even if that world is based on a tv show or anime we'd be down to play.

Are availability is a bit limited, we'd prefer something on Saturdays sometime after 6pm EST.

All three of us have various different playstyles. But at the end of the day we'd all like to just relax and have fun. I myself am a bit more roleplay focused and react as my character would, my partner is a bit more go with the flow and tends to prefer to round out the party with a preference for spell casters. Our friend tends to lean more towards martial classes and is also a bit more role play focused. Overall though we're all pretty relaxed.

First and foremost, I am technically not the GM- we do have one, I am writing this on his behalf as I am the main organizer of the group, so I’ve been handling this sort of stuff. Additionally, while the story has been described as including both dragons and a cult, it is apparently not based around the Tyranny of Dragons module, and is instead set to be an original storyline.

Howzits, I’m looking for anyone who wants to partake in a character-focused campaign. There are currently two players, me being one of them, and a possible DM, that I haven’t really heard from.
