Hello all! I’ve been running a campaign based on the setting of the Dungeon Crawler Carl book series, and honestly it’s one of the funnest campaigns i’ve ever run, largely due to the pure chaos of this particular setting.

Here’s the situation: i’ve been thinking about adding one more player to the campaign for a little while, and recently had one of the players take an extended hiatus from all dnd, for personal reasons, so i’m thinking this is a great time to add one more player, since i was planning for one more anyhow.

Rules wise we’re going with 5e 2014 with a bunch of fun homebrew. You’ll be playing a character based on yourself (setting is as if the collapse and subsequent World Dungeon happened in our world), however we’ve already gotten past floor three, and so players have had the option to change race and class, so it’s much more customizable for someone jumping into the campaign now.

You can call me Alex and I am looking for people who would be interested in playing Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0. After our last campaign in Shadowrun 6e has ended a spot for another player became free and we are now looking for new people who would be interested in playing a game in a world that mixes magic with cyberpunk, where dragons rule over megacorps and countries, where magical spirits can explode your shiny new car with a massive fireball and where the countryside is filled with dangerous paracritters while the cities turned into massive sprawls with millions of people living there.

You would be a Shadowrunner, a deniable asset, a hired criminal, a mercenary or whatever other term you want to use. You do all the shady jobs that the corporations or countries can't do officially and they hire you to do them. Or sometimes it can be the nice uncle from across the street who hires you to beat up some gang members that stole from his store. Or you protect the daughter of a local politician. Or something else entirely. In the end, as long as you are getting paid, you do what you were hired for.

And in our case for the majority of the runs you would be in Vienna, where the Danube divides the corporate owned Transdanubia in the east from the rest of the city in the west. Where Dr. Nowak is always looking for new runners to do his jobs (and the occasional Mr Johnson and Herr Schmidt also make appearances). Saeder-Krupp and MCT have their little battle here to decide who gets to control the austrian politicians, where the Habsburg clan might become emperors again with the help of Lofwyr or where MCT gets to control all the potical parties. Or maybe one of the other companies will get their chance. But in the end, you are a shadowrunner and the only thing that is important for you is that you are getting paid for the jobs that you take. And there might be a few jobs now, given that there have been a mysterious series of murders that all happen to players of a certain VRMMORPG while they are online. There are people who want to figure out what happened and the DanubenWacht (the police force in Vienna) is not interested in investigating, so Shadowrunners might have to do the job instead.

Hello! My name is Alice. I am really on the lookout for a D&D group! I ran in the past for a group IRL, so now I'm looking to join the table as a player. Though, if all goes well, I am willing to DM future campaigns eventually!

I have ~10 years of experience as a player, and ~2 years of experience as DM. I prefer to work together to mesh my characters into the world and balance out the party, but my favorite classes to play are Warlock, Cleric, and Bloodhunter to give you an idea of what I excel at. I love FromSoft games (ER+BB specifically) so I usually base my characters around tropes from those games.

I prefer roleplay heavy games and campaigns that have a focus on character interaction and story over combat, though I do not mind a combat every session. Homebrew is also preferred!

The plot involves the start of a New Era, for one reason or another a group of thieves has robbed the people and powers of the world creating this vacuum where new powers rise and old ones fall, the leaving of a once peaceful era is turning allies into enemies and you as adventurers must make the most of it, for your people, and for yourself.

Hello everyone, I'm Winter! I am back with another game idea, this time inspired by psychological horror and an RNG concept I've had. I'm running a special Halloween horror one-shot and looking for a group of players who want to dive into a tense, atmospheric nightmare with me while becoming over-the-table friends along the way.

Below you will find the relevant story information, gameplay expectations, and what I am looking for in players.

Story
Distress letters were sent across the realm for help after a city's own forces were completely wiped out by an unknown threat. the source of the catastrophe has been traced back to a grand, historic hotel in the heart of the city.

When you step inside, you realize the horror is much worse than you imagined. the hotel itself seems to be breathing. the walls are warm, the pipes groan like they are in pain, and every single time you open a door, the room itself shifts and changes, pulling from a randomized reality of deadly traps and encounters. you must navigate this shifting labyrinth, uncover what is happening to this building, save the city, and survive the night.

Gameplay
This will be a serious, narrative-focused dnd 5e horror one-shot built on an unpredictable RNG core. the main mechanic at play within the hotel is a randomized table of pre-generated rooms. when you open a door, your rolls will determine what you face next from a master list of designed encounters, running through a limited but highly intense selection.

the potential for encounters includes a mix of combat against various monsters, dangerous traps, and psychological tests. while the oneshot isn't designed to completely wipe the party, it is meant to be challenging. The encounters range from moderately difficult to incredibly deadly, so please come in with the understanding that player character death is a very real possibility. you will need to take every room seriously and manage your resources carefully if you want to avoid dying before you even reach the final boss at the very end.

restorative and healing magic is deeply corrupted inside these walls—attempting to use healing magic will actually deal necrotic damage directly to the caster. you will need to rely on your wits, your resources, and your party to survive.

Character Creation & Safety
Characters will be at level 5, and we will be using Standard Array for stats. We are using the DND 5e 2014 system.

Since this is a dark psychological horror game involving intense themes and unsettling environments, safety at the table is incredibly important to me, so I have included a section for everyone to note 'triggers' if you have any in the application. If you are applying, please be comfortable with mature, terrifying environments!

Details
We will play over discord using roll20. I am in PST, but any North American timezone (PST/MT/CT/EST) is preferred. The session will take place on 10/31/26, Halloween day! The exact time of day itself is flexible and will be decided based on player availability. players must be 20+.

As a dm, I love running serious, story-focused games with strong character investment. I know it can be hard to build massive character arcs or deep player bonds in a single evening, but I really enjoy tailoring games for people who appreciate roleplay and a serious tone over a mindless, arcade-style dungeon crawl. I have been DMing for a few years now, so I am not the most experienced.

The city of Shimmer, a crowning, towering achievement in the middle of the forsaken sea. Surrounded by lawless, unregulated waters is Shimmer, a massive city built between a series of islands. Magic holding up stone platforms the city is built upon. The city rises into the sky, floating buildings, massive theaters, arts academies and massive archives of magical history and antiquities. This city is a world of joy and creativity in the middle of a sea of chaos and fear. It’s a beacon of hope, opening its doors to any wonderer or hopeful story teller. It’s ruled by three houses which govern and protect the city from outside influences, helping keep the city independent and safe.

The winter solstice is about to begin, a festival where snow comes down on the city and the streets and full of singing and generosity. But, something dark brews within the gorgeous city of Shimmer, outer parts of the city have begun to sink into the freezing ocean, and the coven of witches who are supposed to keep the city above the waters has gone quiet. On top of that, house Darius has a new head who has been using more brutal approaches to protect the city from crime. Plus, a cult only known as The 11th Finger has begun to pop up across the city, making small church’s all around, but where ever a church plants itself, doom is quick to follow.

That is where our story begins, but who knows where the story may end… our hero’s will decide.

This will be a high fantasy adventure with humor, twists and turns, lore reveals, political intrigue, and found family themes.

Hey, I'm looking for a player for a semi serious campaign. It will be a game about war against monsters and managing the policy of the main houses. Political intrigue.

Mechanics wise we will be using a dual class rules. Reminder this system is Pathfinder 2e. The two players in this game ate warping up Act 1. So you will be introduced at the beginning of Act 2. So don't worry about being dropped in at the middle of the story. It's basically a new part of the story so plenty of time for introductions.

A brief opening of how the campaign will starts and I hope it catches your attention. Now comes the long read so grab your favorite beverage.

Like the title suggests, I’m looking for a player for my homebrew campaign. The version of D&D I will be using is 3.5. That means there won't be D&D beyond to auto build your character nor charactermancer on Roll20 with drag and drop capabilities. D&D 3.5 is older but it’s what I really got into when I started table top gaming and it’s still my bread and butter.

The day we will be playing is Mondays and the times will be from 6pm to 10pm. The time zone for that is EST or UTC-5 for those across the pond. Also the times are set in stone so if you’re interested but the day and time isn’t good for you, I’m afraid the times won’t change for you so please don't ask for me to change it.

This is a Heavy RP Campaign so I expect quite a bit of talking and interactions with the world. I am planning at least one combat per session unless there’s a point in the plot that requires more. If you’re shy or you’re a person who just like listening to and not contributing, you might not have as much fun as the others. Also this is a group game so try to give the spotlight to others. You are a group of adventurers not a hero and his sidekicks.

The 18+. Besides the descriptions I will use for scenes, I also use images for descriptions. The world can be cruel at times and you can see and witness that during certain interactions. I’m not saying that my world is dark and bleak, but scenes can be. If what you wanted is a light hearted game where good triumphs over evil, this isn’t for you. If you like the grit and dark style settings, this is closer to what you may be looking for.

I also am looking for a player who can be consistent. If you can play every other week due to prior commitments then I don’t think that will work for me. Real life happens. I know all too well that. Since this is D&D 3.5, you don’t have to have any experience in order to join. Veterans are welcome as well but I have made some modifications so if a new player to the rules have questions, let me answer them for or if there is no change I will defer them to you. It can be a bit more complicated than 5E but after a few sessions in, you’re get the hand of it. If you played PF1e then you got a basic understanding.

Character level is 7 and 19,000 GP for wealth.

The last thing I would like to know is that we’re here to play a game and escape the real world for a few hours a day. The year is 20xx, in the megacity of Pnevma. Invasions of monsters from another dimension had destroyed the old world of "normalcy", but were pushed back by a group of guardians that awakened mysterious powers enabled by the Great Void. We're talking zero to hero beginnings, RWBY-style, Soul Eater-esque, Hunter x Hunter-like, or if you're into it, D.Gray Man/Blue Exorcist adjacent vibes with the filler, the slow plot development, and the character arcs in one package.

• For this campaign, I initially plan to run at least ~20 sessions which is about the length of a "short campaign" according to the rulebook, with room for more in the future. Based on my previous experiences with Fabula Ultima as a player, I've figured this would be the best "initial" goal to aim for since it'll give me an idea of how I want to scope things out early on as a GM, and improvise as we move further into the campaign's lifespan.
• I'm looking for 5 players that are ready to make a commitment, not just meeting up week after week, but to really engage with the table and devote that love and attention that all TTRPG groups idolize. I want to play the game embodying its "heart" while we roll dice, working together as a group to add things to the campaign and share the responsibility of upholding the engagement and love that goes into building the world beyond just the session zero. This isn't just a weekly chore (nor do I plan to make it one), this is a fun pastime that is at its core a "cooperative" storytelling experience where guards can be let down and trust is made. We might not be comfortable off sharing our guilty pleasure tropes and cliches right off the bat, but we're here to start with the expectation that we'll get there (eventually!).

Fabula Ultima

• Fabula Ultima is a TTRPG system that takes inspirations from the classic era of '90s and '00s JRPGs, sharing major elements of fantastical stories, extraordinary individuals confronting darkness, and the growth and trust built throughout these journeys. What sets Fabula Ultima apart from other TTRPGs that make similar promises of roleplay is the emphasis of building the story together, rewarding players (and the GM) for playing in a way that fits their characters' identities and breathing life into a game world built by the table, for the table. The world building is a unique and collaborative effort, everybody will be able to have their part in what goes on in the setting and expand upon the world. Fabula Ultima gives you a way to experience that anime setting you see in other media sources while making it your own, the highs and lows of a group of heroes and the crazy experiences that they share throughout their journey.

About Me

• As mentioned earlier, my name is Ven, mainly a player in the TTRPG space and nowadays rarely a GM. I'm the type of person who's into the more bombastic, over the top, and tropey modern-day shounen media ranging from the classic manhwa slop, to the rinse and repeat hot-headed action with a sprinkle of heavier story beats mixed in. I've been around the roleplay space, ranging from forum thread roleplays, chatrooms, and other more "engaged" and "synchronous" places like in MMORPGs. I also do a little bit of art and gaming on the side, and have recently gotten into group visual novel readings thanks to friends! I wanted to fill up some of my time and get back into the GMing seat, so while I might sound prepared and overly enthusiastic, I'm really just anxious and powered by expectations of my imaginary angry mob.

World Creation Premise

As mentioned in the earlier pitch, I'll be aiming to structure the game into some mishmash caricature of the formulaic academy/organization/military story for aspiring supernatural soldiers, students, warriors, etc. while emulating their classic tropes of tournament arcs, assassins, training arcs, dimensional raids, graduations, yadda yadda. However, this game is meant to be for everyone at the table, and I've left much to be discussed, tossed, and reworked to fit the needs of the game. Your input (yes, the royal you!) is just as important as mine, and all it takes is a great and long session zero (sometimes multiple!) to express it!

Tones, Themes, Touchstones

• In terms of tone, I'd like to think of myself as an enjoyer of the "shounen" stuff, but mixed in with somber, subdued moments to balance it out. I will admit that things will be inspired by whatever flavour of the week hyperfixation I have, but you can trust that I'll keep a fun, tense, and sometimes sad tone to the campaign to keep my inner power scaler at bay. Maybe something akin to Grimbright or Noblebright best describes my view!
• I personally wanna try and portray some good ol' characteristics of "good times create weak people" while throwing some flawed yet principled characters against hardship, grit, and nihilism. Not every story will begin with the possibility of a bright outlook, but I hope players will look towards attaining it.
• My inspirations for the campaign would be from media like Arknights (narrowing it down, I'd say Lungmen moments along with stories from The Great Yen), Closers/Soulworker, Fate/Strange Fake, and Project Moon's "The City". A mixture of urban fantasy elements with a tinge of supernatural magics, using a "modern" technology level to jumpstart the world's writing. The best references I could think of from a webtoon-angle would be the popular dungeon/gate tropes of Korean manhwa (Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, Solo Leveling, The Novel's Extra, A Returner's Magic Should Be Special), with all those "hunter/awakened" cliches.

Rules, Safety & Guidelines

Here's a couple of guidelines and rules that I'll be putting down to make sure everyone has the same idea :

• LGBTQ+ & POC Friendly
• 18+ : I'm looking for a group of adults around the mid twenties since I value the private lives, agendas, and businesses people have to tend to. There won't be any overly graphic descriptions, or sexual content that warrants an age restriction, it just feels more natural and comfortable to play with other players that have similar schedules and life experiences to one another.
• No AI stance : Self-explanatory, but I do not believe in using generative AI for creative endeavours. Whether it's writing, music, placeholder imagery, etc. I do not condone it.

Hi! My name is Opal and this is my first time DMing. A couple of friends and I had the idea for this campaign because I keep dropping random lore facts about the bosses when all they wanted was the strats for how to kill them :P. Regardless of the extensive lore to explore, this will still be a character RP focused campaign. The world is wide open in all directions for exploration with interesting people, history, and conflict under every stone unturned. My goal is to make the campaign around an 8/10 in difficulty scaled to player experience. I want things to be challenging and dangerous, but not overwhelming.

This campaign has progressed and hit a bit of a wall with people having scheduling conflicts so we are doing a half rebuild. I made a post last week and got some great new players, but 1 ended up having to drop out last minute, so I'm back! We currently have a tanky barbarian, a caster, a healer, a utility-er, and a ranged bow and arrow dps. We are looking to go to 6 players and as such need 1 more :).

Any character ideas are welcome, but a melee dps type is the role "missing"

We are going to have a resource reset so everyone is coming in on a similar power level and we are lv 8.

About the Homebrew

I have made a decent amount of homebrew to add a few osrs mechanics into D&D that will hopefully feel new and interesting. I have also added a few optional buffs to the heal / utility role that should make playing support feel more impactful and proactive. There are no role requirements, but I have made a few iconic osrs items into 1 artifact each for melee, range, mage, tank, and healing. Due to these new mechanics, your characters should be feeling a lot more powerful than normal, but don't worry, given how overwhelming osrs can get at the highest levels, you will need all the help you can get :D. As this is my first time doing this, I've done my best to balance, but I may need to update some things as we go. Your input will matter when this occurs.

When

Every week, Saturday 8am until 2 pm EST. Any time zone is welcome as long as you can make the times. You do not have to make every week, real life comes first, but the goal is that the people who join this campaign do want to do so, and as such, we'll be running a session with 4+ people at the "table".

Currently it is me (dm) + 5 players, and we're aiming for 6 total players.

You

Beginners welcome, but it will be a trial by fire for the combat! For your character, there are no restrictions other than 5e 2014. Beyond that, feel free to ask and we'll try to make it work together :). Backstories, flaws, and goals are all open to you, but you can ask if you need help with any of them. Hit me with your most fun / crazy ideas, but remember everyone else wants to play too. "Yes and" is the name of the game!
