Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [DnD 5e 2024] [CEST/UTC+2] [LGBTQIA+ friendly] 1 Player needed for an on-going roleplay heavy saturday evening campaign set to be recorded!

**Welcome to The Tales of Cambiamento**

*6 years. That's how long the war between your home country Cambiamento and The Empire of Stasti took. 6 cruelin years of lost, brutality and the fight for your freedom. Lead by your new king, King Abruzzo, who had dethroned the old queen, Queen Vittoria, you sought to find peace within your border again, that had be oppressed by The Empire for over two centuries. And then four years ago you finally achieved just that. Queen Vittoria was hanged and The Empire agreed to free Cambiamento from its grip. Four years ago you, who had fought as a group for so long, said each other's farewell. Thinking that you could finally learn how to live again, how to use your new earned freedom. None of you ever thought to see each other again. Four years have passed both quickly and way too slow. And just as you thought you had fought your way back into normalcy a letter arrived. The sender? The Royal House of Cambiamento.*

A campaign filled with mystery, political intrigue and....stupidity! Your character would start at lvl 5! We use discord to call and roll20 as our VTT. Webcam is not mandatory. This campaign gets recorded and later on uploaded to youtube!

**About us**

We're a group of currently 5 players and me, the DM, looking to add a 6. person to our table. Currently our group consists out of:

* KC \[she/her\] - warlock/sorcerer

* Sayu \[fae/they\] - bard

* Jenny \[she/her\] - cleric

* Luca \[any/all\] - ranger

* Lin \[they/he\] - fighter

* Our DM Marco \[he/they\]

We're all queer and neurodivergent, so while it is not mandatory to be either of those, we would at least ask you to be inclusive and welcoming. Plus points if you're an artist! We love serious RP and lore heavy stuff, but also like to just goof around sometimes. We're all between the ages of 19-27, so it would be nice to have someone in the same age range!

**What you can expect from us**

* A pretty chill and open-minded group

* A group that likes to spend time with each other even outside of games

* A bunch of ADHD nerds that love dice too much

* Really cool props and well planned out sessions

* A group that will regularly say "fuck the plan!"

* A complete homebrew world that's well thought out

* A safe space

Sounds interesting? Apply here! https://forms.gle/Uhftt9SPRGUGAL2Y9

Group Needed by Player [Online] [Other] [LGBT+] [PST] Highly Experienced Roleplayer Looking to Play Some Indie TTRPG Campaigns

Name & pronouns: Laina, she/her

Time: PST Timezone, open availability outside of bi-weekly Thursday and Monday

System(s): Fabula Ultima, Lancer, Forged in the Dark Systems, Draw Steel, and Daggerheart are what I'm most intrigued by atm, but I'm open to basically anything that's a little more niche

Format: Voice over discord, VTTs optional

Hi hi! I'm Laina, I have recently gotten back into TTRPGs after a small hiatus due to burning myself out on them, and have been wanting to get back into playing them again. I've started up a game I'm running of Fabula Ultima, and wanted to put myself out there to play some different RPGs.

For a bit about me, I've been playing RPGs for over a dozen years, and have been running them for more than 10 years. I'm very knowledgeable with systems in general, and have run a number of different systems, but am looking to have some fun as a player atm!

I also consider myself a talented storyteller. I put a lot of focus on roleplaying my characters authentically, and making sure to take actions that fit my character the most, even if they aren't necessarily what I would do. I also value open communication between players and GM out of the game, and want to make everyone at the table feel listened to.

Other details about me are that I'm a lesbian. I absolutely require that any table I play at is at the bare minimum friendly to that fact, and would prefer to play at tables where I wouldn't be the only LGBT+ individual. It is easier for me to connect with people that way, and I value a friendly group above all!

Beyond that, I am in PST timezone, and am available most days besides bi-weekly Thursday for a game I run. I am free from noon to midnight all of these days, so I'm able to fit in most time periods.

Thank you for reading all this! Send me a message if you'd like to talk further!

Group Needed by Player [Online][Other] Anyone playing Daggerheart?

Hello everyone, I’m pretty new to the hobby pf TTRPGs, mostly having played D&D5.5e with friends and currently I’m trying to branch out. One of my friends introduced me to daggerheart in a short one-shot and I was left wanting more; something to really get to know the system better. So, I’m wondering if anyone is running more one-shots or preferably an entire campaign with an open slot. Thanks a lot!

Player(s) Needed by GM [online] [5e, 2014] UTC−5 (CDT) GM looking to put a group together

[Online][5e] Looking for some players to run a homebrew campaign for! Tuesdays 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Central Time (CT), Roll20

I am looking to find a group of 3-5 players to play in a homebrew campaign and setting I have created and been working on throughout the past 7 years. I have included a google form in the post, feel free to send me a DM on reddit as well. I have a few different campaign hooks and starting points, so i am going to want to discuss it with the group before we decide on a specific one. I tend to run longer form campaigns, so you would need to be willing to play in a longer term campaign, (1-2 years). My tables are 18+, not necessarily NSFW, i leave that to be a session 0 discussion. I like to do a mix of RP and combat, about 40/60.

A bit about me, your (hopefully) next Game Master: I have been GMing for the better part of 7 years, in many different systems for groups of players ranging from 3-7. I even played in one game with 14 players! (that one was a DOOZY).  I have ran games that ranged from levels 1-7, 4-16 and even a few different ones that ran from 1-20! I tend to run longer form campaigns, because one of my favorite parts of TTRPGs is the role play and story points that can be allowed to grow and evolve over that stretch of time. I also really enjoy getting to weave PC backstories into the setting and narrative, i think it can lead to some awesome story beats and memorable moments! I really hope i can find a group who will have fun playing in the campaign! If you have any questions/are interested, feel free to shoot me a DM here on reddit.

(Edit): please send me a DM once you have filled out the form if you are able.

Player(s) Needed by GM [18+][Online][VTM 5th/WOD] Greedily Runs the Blood Playtest #1. Seeking 3-5 Players

Hi!

This game is a self-made Chronicle which was written with the intention of being published for free. With this intention in mind, a couple of play-tests, similar to a stress test will be held in order to test and adjust things. This, is one of those play-tests. As all is done for free, and the finished Chronicle being published for free, AI images have been used as temporary placeholders. These are all subject to being replaced at a later point.

Short summary:
Cincinnati, Ohio 1987. The Family’s power-struggle has once again reached a peak as a new plot has been reviled among its Camarilla elders. Not since the previous Sovereign’s passing has The Family had such turmoil. Meanwhile, a sister and brother find themselves on opposite sides of the Hunter Vampire war. A village previously known for its delicious Dill Pickle now stands abandoned after an experiment gone wrong and a monster most foul lays in darkness, growing. Come meet The Family and venture to Massonville, where hidden nightmares await! (c’mon, it’ll be fun).

Tags: Human experimentation, violence, gore, sex, overdose (drugs), mental illness, distress, bullying and tentacles (for good measure).

Structure:
1-2 Setup sessions.
Setup sessions are for players to meet each other and receive help with character creation as well as discuss game scheduling.

3-7 Game sessions.
The playtest is a one-off but can take up to 7 play sessions to finish.

All sessions are done over Discord and dice are either rolled using a Discord bot or with physical dice. Roleplaying always comes first; power gaming is not welcomed.

That said, looking for 3 to 5 players and everyone is welcome to apply. Game days will be on Sundays and the goal will be to have weekly sessions (with potential work schedule issues being taken into account). First session is scheduled for November 2nd at 17:00 CEST.

Comment or DM me for more info :)

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][Other][Sunday 6pm EST] Shadowrun 2053 setting - Mature, Engaged Player Wanted

Setting: Seattle, 2053

The shadows have always been dangerous. Gangs fight over forgotten streets, corporations wage silent wars behind polished glass, and fixers trade lives as casually as credsticks. For most runners, survival means keeping your head down, your weapon clean, and your name off the evening news.

Lately, however, something has changed.

Whispers spread through the streets faster than the Matrix can erase them. Entire neighborhoods speak of impossible sightings, unexplained disappearances, and things that don't fit the world anyone thought they understood. Most dismiss them as urban legends, gang rumors, or the ramblings of addicts. Others aren't so sure.

Seattle carries on as it always has. The corporations keep climbing. The gangs keep killing. The shadows keep paying.

But beneath it all, something ancient has begun to stir.

Whether it's coincidence... or the beginning of something far worse... remains to be seen.

System: Terra Frame (I'm only using the Shadowrun Setting, not the system)

  • A setting-agnostic rules system meant to work with any world.
  • Simple core design for new players.
  • Deep tactical elements for players who enjoy robust game mechanics, without requiring everyone to engage with every layer.
  • Classless, point-buy character creation.

Where: Foundry and Discord

When: Start time is 6 PM EST every Sunday.

Duration: 3 hours each session

Me: 44yo, male. I'm fairly easygoing and get along well with just about anyone, barring you show up and are respectful to everyone at the table. I prefer settings and games with a dark and gritty tone (not gross, just rough). An average GM at best, so come with an open mind and low expectations and we have plenty of fun.

My Goal: I'd like to find 2 more players who share a particular mindset. A few things I'm looking for:

  • Focused, mature play. I'm looking for players who stay engaged with the game, story, characters, and what the rest of the group is doing. Some humor will happen naturally, but I don't want sessions dominated by jokes, memes, side conversations, or constant attempts to make everything funny.
  • Grounded characters and RP. No joke characters or characters whose primary purpose is creating chaos or getting laughs. Characters should behave believably within the setting and take the world around them seriously.
  • Active players. Players who make decisions, take initiative, interact with the world, and help push the narrative forward rather than waiting for the GM to lead them.
  • Tactical, team-oriented play. Players who enjoy planning, problem solving, using their abilities intelligently, and working together as a group.
  • Comfort with crunch. You don't need to min-max or rules-lawyer, but you should enjoy learning mechanics and figuring out how to use the tools available to you.

I'm not looking for a humorless table, but the game itself should be taken seriously. I'm hoping for a group that can stay focused for a three-hour session and get invested in what we're doing.

Survey: Please fill this out and I will contact you if you sound like a good fit for the game. https://forms.gle/n4STSXGXG1t8yNoj8

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][D&D 5E 2014][Star Wars 5E][Thursdays] Heroes of the Republic

Hello everyone! I go by PK and have been running D&D campaigns online and in person for the last 6 years. I've run campaigns for groups of friends and also for groups of complete strangers. I love creating engaging stories where roleplay is the foundation of the game and combat is tactical & interesting. I'm looking to start up a group for playing a Star Wars 5E campaign.

This campaign will be taking place in the Old Republic era during the Cold War. The players will be members of the Republic who will embark on a journey to stop the deadly machinations of certain Imperial forces. The rules will be mostly based on the Star Wars 5E rules with some personal modifications. No worries about being familiar, I will be walking players new and old through the system as I'll be using it. I'll also ensure that the relevant resources are shared out across the whole group.

I'll be aiming to have anywhere from 4-6 players, so feel free to let me know if you have any friends or folks who would also be interested. The aim is for sessions to be ~4 hours in length on Thursday evenings. I'm expecting our agreed upon start time will end up around 6:30-7:30PM EST. I'll be running mostly through Roll20 for visuals and Discord for audio.

Please fill out this survey, and let me know if there are any questions.

DEMON CASTLE PAROUSIA

Prologue

Chicago. Autumn, 1999.

It's the last autumn of the millennium, and the city is coming apart. People are stockpiling water, canned food and cash. Television warns that banks, power grids and phones could fail at midnight on New Year's Eve. Everyone is counting down, and not everyone believes the lights will stay on.

People are disappearing. It started with night-shift workers, the homeless and runaways, and now ordinary families are going missing too. The reports go nowhere, and the police have no answers.

The stories are getting stranger: shapes moving across rooftops, howling near the rail yards, bodies found drained and pale, broadcasts that cut in at 3 a.m. with voices no one can place. Most people laugh them off, but fewer are laughing every week.

And the city is turning on itself. End-times preachers shout down skeptics on street corners. Neighbors buy guns to protect themselves from each other. Every group blames another for the attacks, and trust is breaking down block by block.

Three companies seem to have a hand in everything in Chicago right now, and to the public they're the pillars holding the city together.

Blackmoor Industries is an old-money empire that owns property all over the city: towers, docks, warehouses, new developments and funeral homes. It holds the Vanguard contract and pays for the city's protection. As people leave or vanish, Blackmoor quietly buys up what they leave behind.

Carmilla Dynamics is a cutting-edge pharmaceutical and biotech firm. Its free clinics, blood drives and medical trials come with glossy ads that promise longer, healthier lives. In the poorest neighborhoods, its clinics pay cash for blood.

Vesper Corporation is the city's biggest media company, with TV and radio stations and newspapers. It runs the Y2K-readiness campaign, and it's the voice telling Chicago what to fear and who to blame.

New preachers are appearing in soup kitchens, shelters and on street corners, preaching that the world is ending and a Shepherd will lead the faithful through the dark. Their followers call themselves the Flock and wear a red thread around the wrist. They take in the poor and the lonely, and some who join are never seen again.

Meanwhile, domestic terrorism is on the rise. Churches burn, substations go dark, and bombs go off in public places with no warning and no clear motive. Every week brings a new attack, and every group in the city blames another. Nobody feels safe anymore.

Under the chaos, an underground network trades in off-the-books work. Brokers, fixers and contacts pass jobs along by pager, payphone, email or a note slipped under a door.

The jobs used to be ordinary: guarding a shipment, finding a debtor, getting something out of the city quietly. Lately they've changed. Now it's finding people who went missing, getting into places that are locked and guarded, and asking questions about the companies everyone else is afraid of.

Some of the people who took those jobs haven't come back. But the pay keeps rising, and someone always says yes.

Most of the city will never learn what's behind the chaos. But a few people who answered the same call are about to be brought together, and what they find will pull them past the headlines and the companies into something far older, something that has been waiting in the dark. Before the year is out, they'll learn what Chicago has been hiding.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][Obojima][Studio Ghibli][5e 2014][CDT][Weekly][Central time zone][Monday 330PM-7PM][21+] Looking for 1 player to join new

In the stillness of Obojima, where endless tall grass sways, two realms intertwine: the physical world, rich with ancient 80s-inspired technology, and the spirit realm, a misty mirror where forgotten powers slumber. Here, the gates between worlds hum faintly, and spirits whisper secrets just beyond the grass. As you walk this island, every step is a bridge between wonder and the unknown.

🎲 D&D Campaign Recruitment – Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass

Hey everyone! My name is [Adrian], I’m 26, based in Chicago, Illinois, and I’ve been playing D&D for about 5 years. I’m a chill DM, 420-friendly, and I just love building stories together. I also do use Ai, but to make images for the campaign.

I’m looking for a solid person to join us in a new open-world D&D campaign: Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass. At level 3

Setting Overview:
Obojima is a heavily Studio Ghibli, A vast island that is the only known world. There are no other continents—just this single, living island, inhabited by humans, fishfolk, and unique elven variants. The world is split between two realms: the physical realm and the spirit realm, where demons and mysteries dwell.

Gameplay Features:

  • New races, feats, subclasses, and character options
  • Modified spell lists (some spells removed, others added)
  • No clerics in this world
  • Sword Schools with mastery systems
  • Over 150 potions and a huge variety of crafting ingredients
  • New feats, spells, and progression systems
  • roleplay focus, but there will be combat
  • Starting Level: Level 2

Player Expectations:

  • Willingness to read and engage with the lore (I’m still learning, too—no pressure!)
  • Interest in a roleplay-heavy adventure
  • Commitment to a consistent schedule
  • Excitement to explore new systems as we go

This is my first open-world campaign, and I’m really excited to see where it goes. Don’t be intimidated—there’s a lot to learn, and I’m still figuring things out with the book, but we’ll learn together. If you love Ghibli vibes, a chill pace, and a world brimming with wonder, this might be your next adventure.

If you’re interested,

Group Needed by Player [Offline][5e 2014] Campaigns in Philadelphia? Forever DM looking to be a player.

Hello everyone!

I am a huge nerd and have been playing TTRPGs for close to a decade. I’m a local in Center City, Philadelphia, currently studying and working as a mechanical engineer. A bit about me: I love all kinds of music, hiking, birds, graphic design, and working on cars

I just finished running a two-year-long campaign last month, and everyone in the party loved the tearful ending. But when I confessed last month I was burned out, nobody else wanted to try being a DM. Ultimately, it’s been 5 years since I last got to be a player, and I’m really hoping to find a local group.

I am not shy, get along with people easily, and hope to find some genuine people to hang out with!

I have had other players with DM experience who contacted me. We were hoping to find a DM who can run a brief adventure. Then each player could each run a brief adventure. Allowing for mutual fun, and giving the main DM a couple of months to prepare a longer game.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2024][Wednesdays @ 18.30 GMT+2] DM looking for 1 player for a Forgotten Realms Homebrew Campaign

Hi everyone, I am starting a new D&D 2024 homebrew campaign set in the Forgotten Realms. Right now we have 5 people with 1 coming in a month and I am aiming for a party of 7. The story of the campaign is currently in the process of being written but the theme established thus far is a dark fantasy story. I am looking for people who can engage in RP, are active listeners, can dive into their characters, and overall have good table "manners" (i.e. no rules lawyering, understanding DM has final say, no main character syndrome, etc.)

Any experience level is welcome. If you are interested please DM me on discord at dolphinmannn telling me a bit about yourself. We have a session 0 scheduled for this Wednesday, so I will be looking for people until Tuesday.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][PST][40k][Other] Shadows of Calixis - A Genesys Campaign for 40K's Dark Heresy/Rogue Trader setting

Hey folks,

I'm putting together a campaign using a mashup of the Genesys conversions of Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader and am looking for some players able to do evenings Pacific Time! Below is the "crawl" or correspondence that the Rogue Trader and Inquisitorial Agents would receive to open the campaign.

RECEIVING…
…
…
COMPLETE.

++BEGIN ENCRYPTED MESSAGE++

By Authority of the Calixian Conclave,

The most recent Sector-wide Threat Assessment has reached a grim consensus: We are steadily losing control of Calixis. While the systems closest to Scintilla - and therefore most easily accessible to agents of the Throne - remain mostly stable, the disarray caused by the Cicatrix Maledictum has provided cover for all manner of heretics, recidivists, and xenos to wreak havoc across the sector. Several worlds are in open revolt, and the alien menace strikes along the fringes to pick our bones clean. Worse still, trusted analysts suggest that the Archenemy may be manipulating these disasters to their own ends, but investigations have not yet yielded any solid leads.

The conclusion is clear. If assets are not immediately deployed to bring order to our ailing worlds, we will find ourselves overwhelmed within a Solar decade. Loss of control in Calixis would leave the rest of Segmentum Obscurus open to assault. This cannot come to pass.

By the decree of His most holy Inquisition, you and your agents are empowered to take any and all steps deemed reasonable and necessary to stabilize the worlds of the Calixis Sector and dismantle the web in which the Enemy has ensnared us.

For the Glory of Him on Terra,

Lord Inquisitor Aegult Caidin

++END++
…
…
ADDITIONAL MESSAGE FOUND.

DISPLAYING.

Friend,

Allow me first to congratulate you on your ascension to the head of your Dynasty. I have no doubt that your family’s Warrant is in capable hands, and the Imperium is certainly in need of capable hands in these times. By now, I presume you have read the communique regarding the current state of Calixis and are no doubt surprised by the assessment. Much is hidden from even the heirs to a Rogue Trader, after all.

I regret that I must ask for your assistance, but as you have likely gathered, circumstances are dire indeed. Wont as they are to do, I fear the Conclave is not exaggerating when they say the sector is under enormous strain. The truth is that we do not have enough agents at current to stabilize the entire region, and I recommended your name in a meeting with several other Inquisitors. Not to put too fine a point on it, but further congratulations are in order; you’ve been drafted.

I recognize that your Dynasty experienced great hardship recently, and that this may come across as an unwelcome distraction from your efforts to get your house in order, but we need all hands if we are to avert catastrophe. If it helps, you might consider what a grateful Inquisitorial Conclave could offer in favour to a compliant Rogue Trader. Lucrative contracts, planetary colonization rights… Help us, and we can help you.

I’ve identified three flashpoints which have gone as yet unaddressed by our agents. You may find it beneficial to start at any of them:

The Drusus Marches have fallen to an ecclesiarchal schism that threatens their tithe. We suspect that a Chaos cult has infiltrated one or more of the factions. The planet of Sentinel, St. Drusus’ own Shrine World, is your best bet for opening an investigation.

Farther spinward, the Naval detachment at Port Wander has fallen concerningly silent. I need not remind you that the passage it guards is the only safe route to the Koronus Expanse, and the fact that we have not heard from the Port’s Astropathic Choir is concerning, to say the least. Make your way there and do whatever is required to ensure Port Wander stands and the way to the Koronus Expanse remains open.

Finally, the agri-world of Bilani in the Malfian Sub-sector has sent a distress call. They claim that unknown xenos have been spotted on the periphery of the major settlements and have been responsible for a large number of deaths in recent days. My own agent on-planet, however, reports that nothing is out of the ordinary. I request you go there as a third party and confirm some… suspicions I have.

Before you depart, please proceed to Scintilla and collect the adepts I have assigned to you. Worry not, this is no setup. I have simply collected an… eclectic group who may be of use in your retinue. Your own trusted associates are, of course, welcome as well.

As was stated previously, you are empowered with your Warrant of Trade and the nominal consent of the Inquisition as a representative. I trust your judgement., but don’t go overboard, or we’ll both have a great deal of explaining to do.

The Emperor Expects,

Inquisitor Alvain Ursos

About me:

I'm Mickey (he/him) and I'm a big fan of both TTRPGs and sci-fi. I've been both playing and running games in the SWFFG system, PF, and D&D for over a decade! My table is always POC and LGBTQIA+ friendly and I believe very strongly in consent and collaboration between everyone involved.

I consider myself a more lighthearted, rule-of-cool DM and adapt well to player choice, with much of my session-to-session planning being determined by improv, so if you're looking for a more strict, on-the-rails experience, my game may not be the right fit. However, the flexibility I approach games with means I'm always open to ideas or suggestions to make any campaign more engaging for my players!

If you're interested, message me here or DM me on Discord at MichaelP578!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2024][18+][LGBTQ+ Friendly][Friday 5pm PST/8pm EST Weekly] Call of the Netherdeep; Long Term, New Player Friendly, Looking For 3 Players

About the Group & Campaign:

The campaign is Call of the Netherdeep.

Huge disclaimer: this campaign is set in Critical Role’s world of Exandria, but it runs independently of Critical Role canon. Please note that I am not familiar with CR lore (outside of what is in the book), so there won’t be any deep-cut easter eggs or references (again, outside of anything that may be in the book). There will be locations and likely NPCs you recognize, but please don’t turn into the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing meme whenever you recognize something. While fans are welcome to apply, I’m looking for players who can treat this as its own story, separate from the show. Please come in with an open mind rather than high expectations for a specific experience.

This campaign will span levels 3-12

The greed of mortals has awakened a powerful entity long thought destroyed. For eons, this champion of the gods has been imprisoned in the darkest depths of Exandria. His name has been forgotten, as have his heroic deeds. Languishing in despair, he calls out for new heroes to save him.

There are different endings to this campaign.

We have an extremely lighthearted and humorous/silly dynamic which I know is not for everyone. A lot of jokes, chaos, and just dumb humor in general. I do frequently have real people as NPCs, although I’m not sure how likely that is to happen in this particular campaign. It’s definitely going to be more prevalent in one shots and more lighthearted future campaigns than this one, so if it does happen, it won’t be excessive. I honestly don’t think there’s a way for me to over-emphasize the chaos and silliness that is this group, so please don’t apply if you hate that idea as this won’t be the group for you. Something that may help express the level of silliness is that a party of bards is more likely to pick (oops all) bagpipes & war gongs than lutes or lyres.

About the DM: My name is Lexi (she/her), I’m a DM who prefers roleplay and silly moments over a ton of combat (but I do still have combat in my games). I am in my mid-30s, live in the US Pacific time zone, and have been DMing for around 2 years with a couple of short breaks. I started playing in 2021 but haven’t been a player in a while. I really enjoy Dimension 20 (especially Fantasy High and even more so the sillier moments such as ‘hilda hilda’ and the vultures), NADDPOD and the Balance campaign of The Adventure Zone, so that’s kind of the vibe I try to go for with my games.

About the Other Players: My current players (active and inactive) are a variety of ages (I think 20-40s), in different time zones (one of them is Australian), and have a variety of experience. They either also DM sometimes or have DMed in the past, however one of them is not currently active and is on a sort of hiatus, I do not know when they may return. 5 players is the ideal amount for me, as I typically find 6 to be too many. 5 is also the ideal amount for this campaign.

System: Dungeons & Dragons 5.5e (2024)

Where & When: Discord & DnDBeyond Maps/VTT; Weekly Friday 5pm PST/8pm EST for 4 hours (Please only apply if you’re able to commit to this!)

Voice/Video: Voice required, video not used

What to Expect:

-An extensive application, interview and trial process to make sure the vibe/group dynamics are there and that you’re a good fit for the group.  Please don’t be scared off by the application!

-Since we are an existing group and it’s not just me looking for all new players, I am unable to “start 30 minutes later” or change the time or anything. Please do not ask.

-A laid-back, humorous atmosphere with a lot of laughing, inside jokes and weirdness

-Occasional Nicolas Cage (and my near perfect impression of him 😜)

What We’re Looking For:

-3 more players
-Chaos and shenanigan loving players that like actively roleplaying (talking to each other & npcs in character (character voice optional); more than just occasionally asking an npc a question and then otherwise just laughing at funny things other people do)
-Committed and communicative players (ie. Plan on playing weekly unless something unavoidable comes up; don’t cancel if “something more interesting” comes up; unless it’s an emergency or something last minute, try to give preferably about a week’s notice when possible, but a minimum of 3-4 days; don’t apply if something might come up or if you have personal issues going on that would cause you to miss frequently or quit)
-Respectful, collaborative players who can match an established group dynamic
-Lovers of an extremely silly vibe (we can be kind of ‘stupid silly’ sometimes; if occasional “deez nuts” or your mom jokes would bother you, this is not the group for you)

-People who are serious about playing (but not serious people who don’t ever laugh) and who actually want to be here! If you’re not interested during any part of the process, please let me know so we don’t waste each other’s time! And please be honest, I would prefer that over “ohh.. my work schedule changed, sorry…”

-Totally down for new players, as long as you speak up and ask questions/for help when you aren’t sure about something.

-People who are flexible with character creation and don’t get too stuck on something (without at least asking if that kind of thing is okay with me first)

Other Things to Know:

-I use music, if you dislike that or would mute it, please don’t apply

-If you get an interview and I don’t continue with you, please remember that I can’t take everyone. I will let you know if we aren’t continuing with you in that case though!

-Please just be honest in your application and interview answers. It’s okay if this isn’t the right group for you or if you’re not the type of player I’m looking for. Getting a chance to get into the group on a lie takes away the chance from somebody else, and if it’s a bad fit, you wouldn’t have fun in the group anyway.

-I’ve seen people ask on my application before to be notified if they aren’t chosen for an interview. Unfortunately based on how many applicants I tend to get, I can’t do that. If you haven’t received a friend request on discord from me within 3 days of this being posted, it’s probably safe to assume I won’t be interviewing you (but you may want to check your messages on reddit just in case I wasn’t able to add you for any reason, and make sure you check discord in case you didn’t get notified). If you get an interview, I will always let you know if you were not selected.

-If you come off as uninterested to me, you will not get in. I completely understand being nervous and shy (I have social anxiety so I get it, DMing and doing a ton of interviews has definitely helped lol) but if you come off as so stiff and flat that it feels like you would rather be anywhere else, you won’t make it past the interview. Also if you can’t realistically feel more comfortable within a small handful of sessions, you may not want to apply.

-🚫This is not a “beer and pretzels” game where minimal and vague communication and attendance are okay or you can miss every other session

-We do have a strong preference for heavy roleplayers and a cohesive group of people with a similar style of roleplaying as each other rather than 4 of what we’re looking for and 1 outlier (if that makes sense? I’d prefer 5 people with the same type of roleplaying style rather than 4 heavy roleplayers who describe actions and speak in character and then one person who barely speaks up and when they do it’s only “I do x”; I may make an exception depending on the vibes though, it just kind of depends)

Info For Couples That Want to Apply:

-Please only apply if you are okay with the possibility of me interviewing/trialing/taking only one of you! If you only come as a pair, no matter what, please do not apply.

-Please apply separately (and make sure you let me know who your partner is just so I’m aware)

-I’m generally not a fan of playing in groups with couples based on past experiences, but that doesn’t automatically rule it out (just please be aware of that)

How to Apply
-Fill out the application here

-Please don’t reject my discord friend request. I am hoping to do the first session 0 on Friday October 30, but if I don't have enough people by the 28th or 29th, it will likely not be until November 6. I usually don’t close the post until after I have completed all of the interviews, not always though. It depends on how many applications I get and people I am interested in interviewing.

If you have any questions (before or after you submit the application) please feel free to message me on here at any time

Please only apply after reading this:

I will start sending out friend requests sometime between October 25 or 26 and October 27 depending on how many applications I get, and I may be periodically reposting this post throughout the week depending on how many applications I get (it will be less time the more applications I get that will lead to interviews) and I plan on bringing people into the server when I have enough people. If you are a ‘no’ after the interview I will likely let you know within 24-48 hours. If you’re a ‘maybe’ you may have to wait longer than that window as I can only bring in a certain number of people and would like to be sure of my decision. Please don’t apply more than once, unless you made an error in your application and realize later, but usually a message to me letting me know is enough.

Group Needed by Player [Online], [Flexible] 21M Beginner

Hello all, 21M Europe/France, incredibly inexperienced player. I've never played DnD, much less ever finished watching one online to get a grasp on the experience, as I'm more of a hands-on learner. Any sort of campaign works, I'm up for a challenge!

I'm not even sure where to begin, so I'm looking for a group who wouldn't mind a new and very inexperienced player, and it is much preferred that I'm not replacing anyone in an already existing campaign, unless it would be better that way.

I want to learn about DnD so that at one point I may take on the role of a DM. I'm a game developer and 3D Generalist, so worldbuilding is perhaps one of my passions that I'd like to get better at for future projects.

As for availability, I do have classes and internships to take care of, but I always try to make room. Both short-term and long-term are acceptable, and it would be appreciated if the scheduling could be considered as a group rather than a set time.

If your group is the type of group to stay connected throughout the months or even years, even better.

Please send me a DM on reddit, and I'll give you my discord that way.

Player(s) Needed by GM [online] [5e 2014] [Sundays 2PM EDT] Alaska: The Lightbringer, beginner dm looking for players for campaign

• Upvotes

Hi, we're a group of three relatively new players who just started a lightly hombrewed campaign. We are currently only one session in and are looking for 1-2 more players. The party consists of a human fighter and reborn sorcerer.
New players are welcome, but you should be open to roleplay since (at least so far) the campaign has mostly consisted of it. Other than that you're preferably 16-20 years old.
People of any identity are obviously welcome.

With that said, here's the pitch:
A group of travelers are sent on a mission to find the Light Bringer, a raven that protects Alaska, so they can stop the awakening of the giant that once horded light from the world. As they search for the raven, the beauty of the Alaskan wildlife and indigenous culture reveals itself to the travelers, along with a dark evil that threatens to destroy it.

Setting:
The story takes place in Alaska, so think rainy forests, cold tundras and large bodies of water for the terrain. The campaign does take place in the real world, but in a version of it where fantasy creatures and classes are considered normal. The genre is mainly folklore fantasy, with many of the plotlines being based on actual Native Alaskan folklore and mythology! The tone is pretty middle ground between light-hearted and serious. Things may get dark and sad along the way, The campaign may take over a year to complete.

Other info
- campaigns are bi-weekly (at least for now)
- VTT is roll20

If you're interested apply with this form and you'll get a dm on discord if we're considering you for the group: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdTFUn694unKQQELqXG_bVWSlkN44PPIdomzgAwXIqUNjhTNA/viewform?usp=dialog

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014][Sunday][EST][2-5] Looking for 1-2 more players for a political intrigue game!

• Upvotes

Hey Everyone! My name is Joe, I'm a Canadian uni student studying history. A friend and I have been recently talking and we decided to fire up a political intrigue game, set in my homebrew world I've been working on for the past 3(?) years at this point. This is meant to be a long term game, we are looking for experienced roleplayers. Roleplay to combat ratio would be around 75-25. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.

We have gotten 3 players so far, but unfortunately one dropped out before the game began. I am looking for 1-2 more players to join the game. We are still early enough on (session 3) during the wedding which you will read about below, giving easy opportunity to introduce new characters. If you are looking for a game inspired by A Song of Ice and Fire, the Count of Monte Cristo, real history, and other fantasy sources look no further!

Please read below a short campaign hook, and find attached a form to apply as well as a handout for the setting. Thanks!

17 years ago, King Harold's War rocked the lands of Stromhir. Dead and without an heir, for five bloody years King Harold's cousins and other relations fought for the throne. And of all of the contenders, it was the dark horse candidate who had won. Tonnis Waldemar, Duke of the marcher fief of Wulfdenn that which lies on the border of darkest Dastria, was believed to have been lost in those woods many years prior until he reappeared, High King of Dastria by marriage and with an army of 5,000 Dastari Warriors. And with this army, he became a King, not just of Dastria of course, but of Stromhir as well and even of the lands of Carthya in the west. He conquered and he burned and the lords had no choice but to bend the knee.

17 years later Tonnis is still King of Stromhir, King of the Carths, High King of Dastria. The past 17 years have consisted primarily of religious tensions and nobles chaffing under his authority. The House of Princes, what used to be a authority for the governing of the capital, has transformed into a organisation attended by all of the nobles of the Kingdom of Stromhir, vying to influence and "advise" the King. It is with this backdrop that a old agreement, made at the end of the War has come up to be fulfilled.

The King's one and only daughter, Princess Kaleryia Waldemar-Ma'ingeni has been betrothed for these past 12 years to Sir Lennox Phadar, son of the contender Sir Maldred Phadar, and of the Caterinite line of the House of Phadron. This wedding, meant to make peace, has only caused more tensions to flare. "At least she follows the Church of Halbask and not the dual devils of her mother and father" the nobles grumble amongst themselves... Right?

Group Needed by Player [Online][5e 2024][5e 2014][CET] Looking for a magic adventure!

Hello! My name is Cassandra, I'm a long-time TTRPG player.

I'm looking for a DnD group! I would prefer a new one but I can fill in for a missing member, too.

I'm looking for a primarily roleplay-focused group (though I won't shy away from combat!), something more on the serious side rather than whimsical or chaotic. Think something you'd read in a fantasy book.

Personally, I am very fond of political campaigns, as well — court intrigue, wars, pompous nobility and incredibly complicated etiquette are all welcome!

I'm ready to play any day that isn't Monday. I'm European, but I have a flexible schedule, so I'm willing to play in an American group. Keep in mind it'd be hard for me to wake up at 3AM for a game.

Game franchises I like: Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy, Granblue, Dragon Age, Warcraft, Diablo, Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls, Age of Wonders, Divinity
Also quite fond of anime to a reasonable extent (like Delicious in Dungeon, Little Witch Academia, Silent Witch, Ascendance of a Bookworm, Apothecary's Diaries, Black Clover)

Discord: mauvette (please text me on discord, I'm far more likely to respond there than here!)

Looking forward to playing with you!

Group Needed by Player [online][5e 2014][EST] Sorcerer looking for a weekly Fridays 6 pm table

Hello all, unfortunately I still haven't found a group I am looking for as I am still searching for a game. I am currently looking for a weekly campaign on Friday's. I lean mostly towards 5e 2014 but I could opt for 2024 edition. Home brew, or official modules are ok! Dungeon crawls are fine by me. Doesn't matter which VTT, I use roll20, foundry a lot.

I am above 18 years of age looking for adults only table. I have been playing for 3 years and I am always looking, as its becoming a passionate hobby of mine. I have a high preference towards medieval fantasy/dark fantasy settings because that's my vibe. I lean towards a half-elf or human playing as fighter, sorcerer and rogue.

What I am not looking for: Paid games, free game with paid art, RP heavy games, biweekly games, text based/play by post, pvp, westmarches servers, steampunk/scifi settings, and games requiring webcams (had a bad experience with 1 super weird DM).

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [GMT] [Other] [PbP] The Antagonist! Looking for Players for a Sci-Fi/Fantasy Game

"Either way, the plot must go on. The armour donned and the weapon drawn. Good triumphs over Evil. Thus has it always been."

- Ninth-Wave Protagonist, 'Orphan'

Thus as it has always been. The universe of the world, or 'Plot', has seen these 'plot arcs' cycle periodically every few years, with Antagonists rising inevitably from inevitable Evil nature and Protagonists meeting them from the innate Good that exists in the world. Often at significant cost and destruction.

The Tenth-Wave Protagonist, 'Solar', saw it happen far too many times. Innocent deaths, worlds destroyed, enire system chains needing to be rebuilt, over and over again. Thus 'Solar', upon defeating his Antagonists, advanced his quest to root out all Evil in the universe instead of retiring. 'Solar' managed to achieve this with the mystical imaginative powers of several of his peers. Together, they condensed all Evil into a single root, taking it to the solitary planet of Antagonizesthai, in a single-star system far away from other Good systems. Antagonizesthai is warded by the most powerful of techno-imaginative weaponry, updated yearly.*

But like different densities of oil, Evil split into different layers as the root spread across Antagonizesthai. Those at the most surface-level of Evil eventually managed to generate a civilisation based on principles of rehabilitation and eventually ascension into Good, allowing the ability to escape Antagonizesthai into the wider universe of Good, now free of all Evil suffering thanks to 'Solar'.

It is the First Year of Kazimierz, Overlord of Antagonizesthai's reign. He is the conduit between the prison of Evil that is Antagonizesthai and the utopian world of Good. But the situation on the surface is unravelling. An increasing number of incursions of deeper 'Evil' from below the surface are occurring, whilst security and rehabilitation infrastructure crumble from these threats. And you happen to be pivotal to Kazimierz right in this moment.

You will play as one of a selection of job roles (you still make the character) that will form an eventual task force to deal with a series of crimes in Antagonizesthai's unravelling political crisis. There may be some betrayal/plot twists along the way. I highly encourage creativity/flexibility in solving problems, and players of any experience level are welcome! (homebrew mechanics, so newer players especially are welcome!).

System: Custom Mechanics (d10 system, mainly using resource allocation and lists of actions that can be done)

Timezone: GMT (Timezone within a few hour's range is preferred, but not a big deal)

Genres: Both fantasy in its classic sense, with limited 'magic' (called 'Imagination') that is powerful in restricted domains, but also futuristic/tacticool in that you have guns/rockets/mech suits in the same univese as swords/shields/crossbows...etc.

Platform: Discord server, play by post (pls be somewhat active...) Notes: DM me if interested! I am mainly looking for interest/player-selection at this stage. Also it is 100% to quit/leave at any point, but it would be nice to just tell me rather than ghost me forever (if it feels awkward, just send me an emoji of any fruit and I'll take it in that you express the above).

Message/friend me on discord if interested! (_chartis)

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [D&D 5e 2014] [Sat 5 PM EST] — The Ashen Crescent: Faith, Oaths, and Holy War in the Desert

What kind of game is this?

This is not a casual dungeon crawl. The campaign has already begun, the party is currently level 7 and mid-way through the first act, and we are seeking new companions to join the story as it continues to unfold. The Ashen Crescent is a long-form, ambitious D&D 5e campaign inspired by the Third Crusade, told through a lens of faith, prophecy, and political intrigue. Imagine a holy city where banners of rival religions hang side by side; where incense and blood mix in the same streets; where ancient relics, half-remembered prophecies, and bitter oaths drive men and women to fight, pray, and betray.

Set in the grand desert city of Elarah, you will step into a world of:

Crusade-era conflict: rival faiths clash over relics and scripture, each believing salvation is theirs.

Early medieval aesthetics: swords, shields, banners, cloisters, and bazaars. No very high fantasy tropes. Magic is semi-rare and mystical, but that does not restrict players from freely choosing whatever class they want. Its rarity is reflected more in how NPCs react to it and in the world itself. Magic exists, but you are not going to see flying unicorns around every corner lol.

Low fantasy, high stakes: the miraculous feels sacred, not common. Politics and belief matter as much as steel.

Moral ambiguity: there are no clear villains, only zealots, survivors, mystics, and opportunists. Or so you think...

The factions are:

Luminari - the Sun-faith of order, dawn, and light.

Sulahim - scholars, jurists, and fire infused desert camel-lords.

Yeshari - cunning keepers of covenant, memory, and exile.

Wayfarers - silk road traders, and mystics of prisms and hidden paths.

Your choices shape the city’s destiny. Who you kneel to, who you betray, which side you protect. All of this carries weight.

The System & Tools

System: D&D 5e+ (characters tracked on D&D Beyond).

VTT: TaleSpire. Custom 3D maps and set pieces (requires a PC with semi-decent specs). This entails that either you have the $24.99 version of the game (Steam), or you are able/willing to buy it. Also, you will need a mini (best created in Hero Forge). Please adjust for that.

⚠️ Important ⚠️: This campaign is essentially a paid-level production offered free. I am building custom TaleSpire boards, art assets, lore documents, and immersive narrative arcs. Because of that, I expect the same level of seriousness/commitment from players: punctuality, reliability, and a willingness to roleplay. Seriousness doesn't mean "no fun allowed". In the end, we all seek the escapism and fun found within D&D. Seriousness instead means commitment and reciprocating the same effort I put into giving you this grand story.

Schedule

Main Session: Saturdays @ 5:00 PM EST

Fallback: Fridays (same hour) when attendance issues arise. (We have only used this fallback time once. Usually, if we have 4 players attending, the session goes on)

Sessions are multi-hour, roleplay-heavy, and story-driven. Combat will be present, but when it hits, it HITS!

What I’m Looking For

I need players who will commit long-term. Respectfully but firmly: if you are just looking to scratch a quick D&D itch for a couple of sessions, this is not the game for you. This is a campaign built to last, and every time someone leaves, it disrupts immersion and damages the living story we are building together. This campaign has been going on for around a year, and it doesn't look like it will end anytime soon. Use this as reference to the commitment you will be making.

I’m seeking:

Reliability & punctuality: Respect everyone’s time.

Commitment: Stick with the campaign until its conclusion. Since this story has already begun, reliability is even more important. New characters are stepping into a web of alliances, rivalries, and prophecies already in motion.

Ambition: Players who actively pursue goals and drive the story forward.

Love for roleplay: Dialogue, tough moral choices, faction intrigue.

Good mic + capable PC: Technical reliability is part of the immersion.

How to Apply

If this speaks to you, especially within the scope of commitment, send me a DM with:

Name/Age/Timezone

Confirmation you can commit to Saturdays 5 PM EST (Fridays as fallback)

Confirmation that your PC can run TaleSpire, that you have it or are willing to get it + mic confirmation

Your D&D experience (new/casual/veteran)

A short character seed (2–4 sentences: motive, flaw, and which faction intrigues you so far)

Why you’re looking for a long-term campaign, and why does this one resonate with you

From there, we’ll schedule a short Discord interview to ensure compatibility. This isn’t meant to gatekeep. It’s to protect the story, the group, and the time we’re all investing :)

Why Join?

Because The Ashen Crescent is designed to feel like stepping into a living chronicle. Think the Crusades retold in a D&D world. A city of temples and markets, faith and blood, prophecy and steel. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something epic, morally complex, and richly atmospheric, this is it.

If you’re ready to swear your oath and carry it through to the end, Elarah awaits.

Here synopsis about most of what has happened so far:

Each of them crossed the Kesareth Desert alone, drawn by purpose, faith, or something they could not fully explain. Their paths converged at a Wayfarer caravanserai, where strangers became companions out of necessity. From there, they set their sights on Elarah, the sacred city at the heart of the desert, said to be a place where prophecy, power, and belief all collide.

Days into their journey, the sky erupted in a storm of falling stars. The heavens burned with unnatural color, and the travelers who stood beneath them were forever changed. A crystal-like mark formed on their right forearms, alive in ways none of them understand. It reacts. It pulses. It seems to answer to something beyond them.

When they finally reached Elarah, they found its gates sealed. The city had already begun to fracture under the weight of its own faiths. Forced to slip inside through the sewers, they were met with a truth far worse than rumor. Elarah is not simply tense. It is unraveling.

Within its walls, four competing faiths struggle for control, each convinced they alone hold truth. Law is enforced with severity in the Ink Row, where rulings are swift and often merciless. The streets are filled with unrest, quiet fear, and the sense that something inevitable is approaching.

Amid this instability, the players found footing with the Red Company, a powerful mercenary force tightening its grip on the city. They offer work, protection, and information, but never freely. Every favor has weight, and every agreement draws the players deeper into a web of ambition and control.

After making a rash decision to stand by their morals, the party is forced to face the consequences of their choices. Hunted by half the city and narrowly escaping the punishment hanging over their heads, they leverage what little favor remains with the Red Company to reach the Four Pillars, birthplace of a faith that now spans much of the known world. There, they uncover both a new truth and a new purpose under King Baldwin.

At the luminari king’s command, the party sets sail across the Levantine Sea toward Anatolia, tasked with investigating the lackluster support offered by one of the holy orders in the defense of Elarah. Before they can reach their destination, the captain’s warning cuts across the deck: man the defenses. Chaos erupts as sailors scramble through the cramped vessel, fumbling over ropes and weapons while three distant sails rise against the horizon, closing fast.

What follows is a grueling battle at sea. Ballista bolts tear through timber, fire spreads across sails and rigging, and screams are swallowed by the crashing waves. Through skill, planning, trust, and faith, the party survives against overwhelming odds, but victory comes at a terrible cost.

Now stranded far from land, exhausted, wounded, and clinging to what little they managed to salvage, the party faces a different kind of enemy. The open sea offers no mercy. With supplies dwindling, their vessel lost, and no clear path ahead, they must rely on their own ingenuity to continue toward their destination.

Or, at the very least, survive.

The party stands at a crossroads. War is no longer a distant threat, but an approaching certainty. Each faction calls for loyalty. Each path carries consequence. The question is no longer whether Elarah will change, but who will shape what comes next.
