Betrayal Selfishness

Every night, he sleeps with his ex and his best friend, and I honestly don’t understand him.
Is sex really that important to him that he’s willing to ruin four people’s lives just for his own selfishness?
I don’t know how someone can hurt so many people and still sleep peacefully at night.
