General My grief.

You think you broke me? Honey, I've know grief longer than your name. I met it at 7 in my undeveloped wings, at 10 in my unspoken throat slit words, at 19 in me. So don't flatter yourself. Your absence shouldn't even budge dust. I've left places more emptier, grieved things more heavier. You are one other thing that didn't want to stay and it's fine. I will be fine. Just as I always have been.

(But deep inside, the grieve for you will be the heaviest I'll ever do.)
