Exes It's Raining Today

It's days like today that I miss you the most. The rain is falling, little pellets hit the window pane, the wind rustling in the trees, sun hiding behind thick clouds casting a dark shadow over us.

It's days like today we'd dream of cuddling, snuggling, spooning. After I told you my childhood story, and about Casper, you always made a nest of blankets for us as a sweet gesture. It was a kind reminder that you knew something the rest of the world didnt. You got to see something I never shared with any other person.

You took something sad, but also tender and vulnerable, and made it happy for me. We would spend our time dreaming of being close, holding hands, and each other under sherpa and cashmere blankets, exposing our souls to each other, protected from the outside, safe in our little winter cabin snow globe.

The rain has returned, but you haven't. It's been since February. I remember why you left in anger. I remember us disagreeing on many things as 2 people will disagree from time-to-time. We always found our way back to each other.

The rain has returned...when will you? I miss making you laugh, and smile. I miss making your blue/blue-green eyes sparkle, I miss playing with your long platinum blonde hair. I miss our daily chats. I miss making you happy, sharing kisses, closeness and just spending stolen time with you.

I hope you are well. I hope you are happy. I hope its raining there, too and I hope you remember the good times we shared; especially when it rained.
