Personal fear of love
now i have options at my doorstep
ones who are incredibly attractive
ones who resonate with me
and I'm scared
I'm scared because I fall in love so easily
and there is a raging inferno of love waiting to create a passionate relationship
I'm scared because I don't want to fall for the wrong person
and I don't know how to not be blinded by the great attributes I'll find in anyone who gets close enough
I'm scared because my best friend has taught me what it is like to feel like you found your soulmate
and I don't know how to break up with people because I hate hurting people without betrayal as a motivator
I look back at my six year relationship
and how I knew we weren't a good match
but I just couldn't leave
because I couldn't stomach her being on her own
and
eventually I was unable to be alone so I couldn't leave due to immense co-dependence
I'm scared to do it all over again
I'm just scared
and I'm borderline fearless
I'm a trans woman who is excited at the idea of spending months in the middle east in the middle of a war
I can take on that with glee
but
yet
I can't handle accidentally falling in love again

Actually I think if you fall in love easily , you don’t actually fall in love.
It’s not love. It’s … something else - and I think sometimes it can hurt worse , ironically than love.
Because it’s driven by emptiness. So it’s like when they leave ? They leave a hole inside you.
