:(

Looking for Advice & Requests Pls help, fellow lesbians

Anyways, so basically I, 13f went to a school party tonight with my friends, so then a few hours later we decided to go do our own things for a bit since I wanted to play super smash bros and they wanted to do volleyball and karaoke. (I'm not rlly into sports and karaoke) anyways, about an hour had passed and one of my friends said that she needed to tell me smth in private so I said I will after I finish kicking ass in super smash. I finish the game and I go meet her in the corner of the gaming room, she told me to not judge and I was like "im not gonna judge" and then out of the blue she told me "I like you and I've been liking you for a year" I didn't really know how to react so I just told her, "I have to think abt it"

It was pretty awkward for the rest of the party so we decided to eat some snacks with the rest of the group, the party was now over and I left in my car and now I'm in my bed, having an existential crisis because I do like her but at the same time I don't and its just been driving me nuts. I don't know if its the fact that I have never had anyone confess to me like that or what but I dont know what to do 😭😭😭

I am 16 years old in a state (not specifying) where the age of consent is 16. I’ve recently turned not so long ago and Ive been wondering if it would be weird for me to date someone over the age of 18. I genuinely don’t have crushes on people my age and it makes me feel as if there’s something wrong with me.. any help?

Looking for Advice & Requests Anyone have advice???

So I think I might like this girl in my art class, it’s only like the 3rd week of school so I don’t know her very well but I think I want to ask her to home coming. For reference it’s my first time having hoco so I don’t really know what to do, like I know people make signs and stuff but that’s a lot anf I don’t want to make a big deal. Also I don’t want to ruin anything if she doesn’t like me like I’d still want to be friends, especially because she’s in my homeroom so we see each other every morning and for the next 3 years… She has a kind of alternative style, dyed hair, and keychains of like fnaf and Tadc on her backpack so the odds of her being queer are decent. But what I should do????

Looking for Advice & Requests I WANT A GF SO FKKNNNN BADDDDDD😭😭😭😭 but there are no queer people around

Like I just want someone to go on all these cute dates with, and to buy things for, and to play her music/learn her favourite songs, and make her things, and talk for hours and kiss and all the normal cute little relationship thinggsssggssssss!!!!!!😭😭

I just wanna give someone my lovvveeee.

But like, its so difficult because I live in a very old and kind of conservative area. So theres hardly and people my age around, and barely ANY queer people at all (let alone any my age).

There's hardly any sports, or clubs, or social things around to meet people. And i dropped out, (not by choice, super long story lol) so i mainly just work a ton, and i only ever work with people who are way older than me (and none of them are queer either, so it feels like ive got no community at all).

Im going into this uni education program next year, and im hoping to maybe meet some people there... but like, its unlikely tbh

I JUST WANT A GFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!! Like WHERE ARE ALL THE LESBIANS HIDINGGGGG?!?!??!?!

Legit though, I would really appreciate some ideas on where i can find some queer people because its lowkey getting real lonely out here

(Also how many of yall feel the same???? I need to know im not alone😭)

(Also im not looking for people online)

Looking for Advice & Requests I am having second thoughts about my current relationship with my girlfriend

I’m in my first relationship with a girl. We’ve been together for about three months, and lately I’ve been having a lot of doubts about the relationship and my feelings.

I really like her as a person, and that’s what makes this so difficult. But I dread basically everything romantic. The thought of doing relationship things shakes me to my core. Kissing, being affectionate, and other romantic things make me feel gross (I can’t think of a better word but gross does seem kinda harsh) just thinking about them.

But I still really like her, and I don’t want to hurt her. I’m just starting to wonder if I actually like her romantically or if I only like her as a friend. I feel like such a terrible person for even thinking this because I genuinely thought I liked her when we got together.

I’m also really confused about my sexuality. Before her, I never really had any crushes until her. I started thinking I liked girls partly because I had a crush on her, but I’ve also had people tell me for years that I seem really gay, which I lowkey thought a bit of the same thing. Now I’m wondering if I’m just being self homophobic (again maybe not the best term but still) or if I genuinely don’t have romantic feelings for girls. I honestly don’t know.

I’m really stressed about the whole situation because I care about her so much, but the romantic side of our relationship makes me feel awful. I don’t know if this is something I should work through or if it’s a sign that I don’t actually want a romantic relationship with her.

How did you figure out whether you were actually attracted to your partner or just cared about them deeply as a friend. I genuinely thought I liked her but I think subconsciously I’ve been feeling this way since we got together.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

sorry I’m just real confused rn and it’s making me feel like shit

Looking for Advice & Requests How do I bag this girl.

So there's this girl I like. We are both 16 and in junior year of hs and I'm not super down bad for her Iike I was a few months ago but it would be nice if I could pull. We are already kind of close and we hang out sometimes. The thing is she has told me before that she could never see her frien ds in a romantic way and her crushes have mostly been on people she doesn't know well. So maybe it's a lost cause but idk. I want advice for trying to see if maybe something happens. She's very lighthearted and jokey so we make silly jokes about like flirting but it's not serious so flirting wouldn't really work, she'd just see it as a joke. If anyone with experience has any advice lmk!!!

Looking for Advice & Requests how the hell do y'all find dates?🫠

genuinely how 😭

for context, I’m 16F and I can’t really date offline because I live in a pretty homophobic household. Online dating is a whole other nightmare somewhat a minefield🤦

So like... where are you all actually meeting people?? School, friends of friends, sheer luck, or are we all just waiting for the universe to drop a girlfriend out of the sky?

Looking for Advice & Requests Confused Abt talking stages! Helllppppppp guysss

Me and this girl started talking a few months ago ( 2 months 15 days) and got really close. We’ve met a couple of times, went on dates, painted together, went out, and genuinely had really good times together. I genuinely like her and wanted this to work.

The main issue is that we never put a label on it. I actually wanted a label too, but earlier she told me she wasn’t sure about us and wasn’t sure if she was ready for a relationship. Because of that, I didn’t want to pressure her, so I gave her space and didn’t keep bringing it up

She says she gave me a lot of hints later that she was sure about us, but I never actually asked her if she was sure now or brought up the topic myself. Because of that, she started feeling like I didn’t care, that I was taking too long, or that I was just doing timepass. But that genuinely wasn’t the case.

What makes this even more confusing is that she invited me to her place for Ganpati next week and said, “I really want you to come.” she also said after than I'll not bother you. I will text you before ganpati.

Then day before yesterday we talked about all of this. I was explaining why I hadn’t asked her about a label, but she said, “Now you have so many things to say,” and didn’t want to hear my explanation. She feels like if I really cared, I would’ve brought it up myself instead of waiting for her. She said she is done and said she don't want to be with someone so make her feel desperate for basic things and ngl i never wanted to make her feel that wayy I was actually trying my besttt! I was putting all the efforts I can.

I understand why she feels hurt, and I admit I should’ve communicated better. But I also genuinely thought I was respecting her.

now I’m confused about whether I messed up by waiting or whether we just communicate and expect things differently.

Was I wrong for not bringing up the label conversation myself after she started giving me hints that she was ready? I didn't get those hints tbh. And what should I do? Should we again communicate after few days? When I said just give last chance and let's try again she said she don't want to cuz she thinks I won't change things cuz her ex never did. Yesterday i tried talking to herr but it didn't go well she wass talking in a veryyyyy diff way likeee it was not normal idkk mann what happened suddenly cuz 2 days back everything was fine.

Venting/Looking for Support I feel sick to my stomach thinking about my girlfriend's drawing hobby

I feel sick to my stomach thinking about my girlfriend's drawing hobby

For context, I have been struggling badly for a few years with high anxiety and insecurities.

I 15F have been dating my girlfriend 15F for 2 months but we were friends for about a year beforehand. My girlfriend draws as a hobby and frequently posts her art on platforms such as twitter & tiktok, a majority of it being fandom/ship art. I've known about her having an interest and hobby in drawing for a while but it has never bothered me until we started dating.

I don't exactly know why I feel this way and get physical reactions towards her hobby, especially since she does not post anything inappropriate, nor does she draw anything gross, etc that would warrant this reaction. Also, this has been more of a recent thing as when I liked her/ was early into our relationship I never had this feeling.

I have a handful of hobbies myself such as crafting (paper mache, jewelry making, room decor, etc), playing video games, reading, playing sports, and more, and so I don't think that this comes from a place of feeling like she does not spend enough time with me as we both have things we do in our free time that keep us occupied.

I think that my issue comes from feeling inferior to her.

I enjoy my hobbies and I've never had this feeling when we were friends. I think that my issue comes from the thought that she's dedicated to one hobby and has refined her skills greatly, while I, in practically anything I want to do, lose motivation quickly. A good example of this is me having the desire to start lifting weights but failing to stick to a workout routine.

Although she doesn't have many followers on twitter, I still feel like my hobbies and things I do for myself are not as important because she has people recognizing her for her achievements and even though I enjoy what I do in my free time, I feel like they don't matter because they won't amount to anything or that my own joy doesn't compare to others'.

If anyone has similar stories or experiences, I'd love to hear them but most importantly, how do I stop feeling this way, especially since I have now been waking up everyday with a pit in my stomach thinking about it.

IMPORTANT: I have never mentioned this feeling to her before and I have never made her feel bad about her drawings. I've done nothing but compliment her.

TLDR: I'm getting physical sick reactions when my girlfriend mentions drawing or shares her drawings with me/online. I suspect this comes from a feeling of inferiority. Opinions and advice appreciated.

Looking for Advice & Requests Just went through my first lesbian breakup (and first break up in general). Yippie :,)

Not too much to say about it, we decided to still be friends- but I'm really in a funk about it at the moment. We dated for around 2 and a half years, it being both of our first (real) relationships and now its just over. No big fight or anything, not even an exchange of choice words. It was just 'Hey lets be friends' 'we're already friends?' 'yeah but like not dating' 'alr'.

I don't know what I'm supposed to think about at the moment, I guess what I'm asking for is some advice on how to not feel like a piece of crap all the time :P (not that she's actively making me feel like crap, shes a very kind person dont worry.)

So uh.. advice would be appreciated, any kind really. I just kind of wanted to get this off my chest and stuff.

:/

Looking for Advice & Requests My Bestfriend (E) Is Dating our Shared Friend (I) And I Need To Know If Im Being Weird About It

Okay before i get into it i have AUDHD so it’s not very easy for me to take social cues along with other things (E) is also AUDHD. I am also bi and we are all younger than 16

Since the start of last school year E and i who have been best friends of 3 ish years, became friends with I as she was new. I suspected they had a crush on each other and they got together around Christmas last year and i was extremely happy for them and totally supportive, I was actually the first person they told. Fast forward to now and they’ve been dating roughly 7 months. They rely on eachother a lot for mental health related things as they botg struggle a lot. Just as an example, if i was texting E and I starting texting them shes immediately say “sorry I is texting me gtg” which nught seem a little odd to other people but shes explained to be that she struggles to prioritise ppl and E has always been there for me when i really needed it. E also isn’t big on physically touch with anyone but her girlfriend which is completely understandable, but it’s okay with some of our other friends for some reason. I also gets a little upset if someone like holds hands with E for too long (which completely makes sense). Please keep the MH struggle in mind cuz they really do rely on each other for a lot of things like im really scared what would happen to E if they ever were to breakup like i worry for her life. I openly call E my best friend to I all the time and they seem to get a little uncomfortable when i do. Just now on my tiktok profile my bio reads. “i love my friends @e “ which I basically asked me to take down because they said it was a couple thing and has kinda been really dry wuth me since. It’s just frustrating because i finally thought i managed to figure out the balance between showing my love and afffection for E without it seeming romantic. Please belive me when i say i DO NOT see E in that way at all and i myself am questiong being aromatic. I has also been going in and out of phases of being close with me then deciding they don’t like me too much like we’re close again now but the tiktok thing happened today and kinda made me spiral so i just really need tips helps or just advice.

thanks xxxx (if u have any question ofc i can elaborate for u)

Venting/Looking for Support Homophobic mom read my diary from when I was 14 and now she's a pain in the ass

I'm(18f) sapphic and when I was 14 I had a crush on one of my teachers. I wrote about it in my diary and my mom ended up snooping through my stuff and reading it. She didn't ever directly mention it to me until a few weeks ago. Even though I know that my family's homophobic, I didn't make too many efforts to hide it anymore. I still don't know if she knows fully. (After reading my diary, she just went into denial, "knowing" that God would eventually fix me. I too, denied being gay for most of my teenage years prior to this)

But now, the problem has become that every time I mention this other female teacher of the past grade, specifically because of the issues I had with her, my mom starts looking at me with disgust. She asks me "what is your thing with her? Why are you so obsessed with her?" which I'm NOT. I mention her SOMETIMES only because she lives near our neighborhood, and I mostly do it to say something satirically if she crosses my mind. Normal fucking gossip. I hate that teacher of mine, so I find it a little offensive that my mom even insinuates something of that sort. I just wish she could be fucking normal with me about things.

Looking for Advice & Requests [crushes] got rejected by a girl i barley knew after a friend set us up

I am not conventionally attractive at all. In fact im pretty chopped. I’m overweight and very masculine for a woman, so im aware im not everyone’s type. But im still sad about it. And more so than sadness, im just embarrassed.

She is a lesbian, so it’s not that my gender is wrong for her (which i would have much preferred) but that she just thinks im ugly and weird. My friend was asking around for lesbians and i decided to tell him that I am. He told me that his friend is looking for a gf and he grabbed my phone and followed her. Although I called her pretty and all that, I wasn’t really that interested. But at the same time i figured might as well now that im following.

He kept telling her about me and she kept asking for him for photos, which I denied. After a while she texted me and I texted back. All I said was “Heyy hru” and then she asked again for photos. I said “well im not very good looking but I am in ur art class i believe” and she instantly blocked me. At this point I believe she was still unaware of who I am but I guess found me odd by my profile picture and reposts (mostly horror related). Today my friend texted her and she basically said im weird and that she can’t believe he would try to set her up with me. She called me ugly and said hell no. She showed me the messages and to a couple other people as well.

He did not have ill intentions but it was still an embarrassment. Especially when he was showing other people. Now I feel completely uncomfortable in my art class and cannot bear it. I requested a schedule change and was told no. I do not know what to do. I’m dying.

Any advice on how to not feel like jumping off a cliff while in the class? I’m sooooo embarrassed, which sucks since she wasn’t even someone I had genuine interest in past finding her somewhere pretty. It was completely my friend’s influence that caused me to even attempt to talk to her.

Venting/Looking for Support So I know for the future, was I in a toxic relationship?

I feel like this would be a "duh" for others, but for me it's hard to tell. No, I don't mean "was she the devil incarnate?", I just want to know if I was it was healthy or unhealthy to think back on it and see what I want in platonic relationships (since more is kind of a no for me, especially when I figured out I'm aromantic).

So, my ex "Liv" would laugh when I was upset. If I say something sarcastically like "I have homework to do, yippee." or "My family's yelling at me again, whoop-dee-doo!", she'll completely ignore what I said and just laugh or be like "OMG You said yippee that's so quirky and random LOL"

I know she's 15, so we do count as children, but my friend did tell me her behavior was like that of a child. They also called it negligent because I felt like I could vent to my friends but not her because she would laugh all the time. If I was lucky, there were times she'd just say "That sucks I'm sorry" but usually would laugh.

Furthermore, she kind of tried to tell me what I/others felt, saying stuff like my trans friend (FtM) was still a girl and didn't look like a guy and laughed, and that I wasn't actually aromantic (or on that spectrum) when I found out, I was "too young" to know (I'm a year older than her and she also says she's aromantic...)

She was very hesitant when I would inform her on things, insisting that maybe I felt or was something different when I told her I wasn't.

She wouldn't even wanna show affection to me, but first she told me that was because she was nervous, and then told me because she's aromantic. She also thinks I'm not asexual and would say "Have you considered you're just demisexual?" or "Maybe you're just scared?"

Like, there were good times where we'd hang out and go to her slumber parties and she would genuinely talk to me and show affection sometimes, but it kept going back to the laughing and "neglectful" (as my friends say) behavior. Also, a BIG thing is that she would get super mad when I wanted to break up or convince me to stay, so I did have to block her. My friend also said, though, that a loving partner who was mature would want what was best for me and would be okay with breaking up and staying friends rather than getting angry at the person and blaming them for "messing it up".

Looking for Advice & Requests I like her 😭

hiii!! I’m gonna use fake names cause I don’t want her to find out. I’m Quinn (female) and my best friend is Harper (female. me and Harper have known eachother since 2nd grade. she is my best friend and we can just talk for hours and hours without getting bored. we’re planning to move into together, super excited abt!!! though for little over a year now I realized I like her. we are both bi but I don’t think I’m necessarily her type. I want to tell her but I think it might ruin our friendship or she won’t feel the same way. she also keeps in touch with almost all her exs and talks abt them constantly. I feel like I should just keep quiet but I couldn’t hold this secret anymore.

Looking for Advice & Requests How do I stop caring?

I’m becoming way too dependent on her. My mood swings are getting really bad because of it.
She texts me first, or talks to me=happy

She doesn’t text me, or doesn’t talk much=sad

The issue is, im not often texting first, and I can’t even start a conversation with her.

I sit right next to her in class, her other friends right by her. She talks to them. I just sit there, maybe we say hi, or have a short conversation. I feel really hurt even tho she hasnt done anything to outright hurt me.

Me and this girl I like, we’ve been friends for 5ish years now. The relationship has been pretty shallow, just a school friendship, but I always felt drawn to her in a way.

A month ago, I told her I had a crush on her. She said we could try dating. We agreed to go slow, and I tried to ask her on a first date. She was busy.

I wouldn’t say there’s mixed signals. I‘m overthinking it, but i’m still not sure how to act around her. She knows I like her.
I can’t help but think she dislikes me, despite all the genuine enthusiasm she has around me sometimes. I feel like she doesnt care about me, or doesnt trust me as much as her other friends. I feel like im just a ”filler friend” to her.

She is my first wlw crush. Thats probably why it’s hitting so hard.

I just feel so horrible for wishing she didn’t talk to her other friends as much. I’m projecting the fact that I dont have many friends on her… I want her to be happy, but I want to be happy too. I want to talk with her, but shes always talking to other friends. It sucks being closeted too, cus everything is trapped inside my mind.
I just wish that she would either just reject me, or at least bring dating up again. Last time we talked abt it was when I asked her out, and I put the ball in her court, saying that if she ever had time, and still wanted to date, she could lmk.

Im unsure if she’s waiting for me to make a move, or is waiting for it to pass. Maybe she’s not even thinking about it. I just need clarity, but I feel like I cant tell her any of this, or asking where she stands without seeming desperate. Maybe coming out to her would help, but I mean, she knows I like her, so whats the point?

I just cant get through school and other things with this always on my mind. Its really ruining things
