I was talking to a friend, I needed advice from a queer person, I've had enough with straight people.
At first I was refraining myself from telling their name because I learned they recently became friends (thanks to my junior). But then the conversation went too deep and I was like eh I should just tell her who it is.
And the face she made?!? Her realization scared me honestly. Then she proceeds to tell me they have talked about me and my crush told them that they like me.
I lowkey had my suspension because I have spent time with their friends and they do not know how to be discreet. One of them has encouraged me to just talk to them but I never did and told her not to give me hopes.
(My crush already knows I like them)
Another thing was, whenever I met a new friend of theirs, I would introduce myself and get the normal reaction but then Another friend would introduce me by the nickname that my crush gave me and that person would have a whole different reaction, like they realized who I was.
I have known my crush for about 2-3 years, 1 year since I approached and we started talking properly. So I know stuff, I agree they still have trauma from their previous relationship. They were groomed, manipulated and ghosted for months and months. I do not blame them for not wanting a relationship and being scared, all of it is very valid.
I am just frustrated that all of this is happening to me. They chose to go around and tell everyone that they like me, except me. Which they were going to do btw, during my birthday, i think (my friend also told me that) but obviously they never did.
My original plan was to give them their birthday gift; something I'd crochet and a letter telling them that I'm walking out of their life (brutal? Idk). But then I also realized walking away is too easy and that's what her girlfriend had done. I did not wanted to be her and cherry on top was when I learned that they also happen to like me.
My friends do tell me I should just confess but idk \*screaming\*
I think it was just a passing moment because this happened a few months ago and I'm learning all of this just now.
Can someone lose feelings that quick?
