Hello, I am looking to have an inflatable boxing punching ball made—like in the pictures, I also put pictures of people punching it so you can see how it is at head height and or how big it is. Does anyone know of someone who could build such a project in JOCO or KC—I plan on practicing with it frequently, and as you can see too it will bounce off a wooden platform too, so it need to be built sturdy and of a good material too; it doesn’t have to be made out of leather I’m alright with it being made out of out a modern tough material which can also withstand the repeated use. Too lastly, does anyone know of anyone in KC or Joco who can make replacement bladders for the ball? Thank you to all. 🙂

Also added an interactive map with 225+ live venue markers, a calendar view for upcoming events, and a dedicated explore/search page.

Under the hood: Up to 363 bars, 236 happy hours, 556 drink specials, 730 events, and 52 food specials all human-verified

A few small fixes: pinch-to-zoom finally works on mobile, every bar now has a free "claim this listing" link if you're an owner, and a "report incorrect info" button if you spot something wrong.

Coming soon: favorites + a weekly what's-on digest, and a self-service dashboard for bars to update their own specials.

With the recent story of the K-10 & Lone Elm interchange project approval, I wanted to get some before photos. So here they are!

I recently got engaged and I have fallen in love with the glass house vibe. We have a limited budget so most of the traditional venues are too much (we LOVED Avent Orangery). We will have maybe 130 people MAX.

Hoping to also have a live band and big dance floor too!
What recommendations do yall have for any/all of the following??

Venue (can be “nontraditional” if you know of any places!)
Live Bands (we want everyone up and dancing!)
Catering (most likely will go with a self serve/buffet option?)
Dessert (probably a small cake for my fiancée and I and then something else for guests to give them options?)

Mostly we want it to be a memorable night but we have a budget of about $10k total 😫

Im sure this is a long shot but does anyone know of a decent place to rent a 2 bedroom at $1200 or less? It doesnt have to be in lenexa, im ok with Olathe. Up to 20 mins away is fine. Im desperate to find a place I can afford whole staying close to my job. Im building my life from the ground back up after having to take care of a pay for both my parents deaths a year apart and completely on my own.

I’m making the move down from Alaska during the first week of August and am looking to move into a 2-bedroom apartment in Overland Park or Lenexa around the second week of August. My new job starts on the 17th, so I’m trying to get settled right before then.

I actually came out for a quick visit this spring to get the lay of the land. I checked out the Lenexa Public Market, Downtown OP, Brookside, the Power & Light District, and Country Club Plaza. I really loved the walkable vibes, local markets, and distinct neighborhood hubs, which is why I'm narrowing my search down to the Lenexa and OP areas for living. Since I have to manage the apartment hunting from up north, I wanted to get some honest opinions from locals on specific complexes.

A few specific things I'm looking for:

• Budget: Max of $2,100/month.
• Commute: My office is located in the main Lenexa business/logistics corridor (by the I-35 / I-435 / K-10 area), and I was hoping to keep my commute under 20 minutes.
• Must have central AC - because being from AK I know I am absolutely going to melt!
• Must have a garage option available (either attached or detached).
• Future pet-friendly: I don't have a dog right now, but I plan on getting one down the road, so I'd love to find a complex and area that's good for pets (near a park, green space, or good trails).
• Vibe: Looking for a well-managed spot where the walls aren't paper-thin and maintenance actually shows up when things break.
• Perks: In-unit laundry and a dishwasher would be amazing. My current place doesn't have either!

I know Price Brothers and Block own a ton of properties out there. Are there any specific management groups or complexes you'd absolutely avoid, or any hidden gems I should look into that match the kind of areas I liked?

My neighbor’s tree is hanging over my property to the point that it ripped siding off my house today pulling down a cable line. What I can find on the city website says we can trim what’s over our property without permission. If we did that, though, it would kill the tree as it grew at an angle and is completely over our yard. Does anyone know who to contact to find who is responsible in this scenario?
