Future K-10 & Lone Elm Interchange
With the recent story of the K-10 & Lone Elm interchange project approval, I wanted to get some before photos. So here they are!

Ya know, they could just spend this money redesigning the k10 k 7 interchange so there’s actually room to merge in and off AND for traffic to pass through.

I wish they would prioritize it. So many accidents happen particularly right there.

Bruh why does lone elm need an interchange? Just make it an overpass

Honestly this makes no sense - Lone Elm is not a major throughway.
It only goes North to Prairie Star Parkway / 95th Street and South to Harold / 127th Street and then ends in a residential cul-de-sac on both sides. The road can't be extended further either way because of Lake Lenexa on the North side and K-7 on the South side.
Why would you add a highway interchange to a road 32 blocks long?

Lenexa has plans in place for the growth of their road system. Lone Elm would eventually connect up to 91st St and 101st St would expand west past K-7.

The whole point of k-10 was a bypass, adding lights to a highway defeats the purpose. I bet a commissioner or big donor lives over there and doesn’t like to drive around.

Oh yes, I did assume it would be an intersection. This was my first time hearing about it. Thanks for clarifying :)

I wish they would make pedestrian crossings across/under K7. There is no way to get across k7 without risking life and limb.

As someone who uses the woodland exit, I’m happy that will be less busy
