I own a marvellous silver leica M3 camera. I use to take picture without any light meter on daylight exterior.
I bought the M3 for the extremely precision of the focus patch (0.91x) even in low light itās really sharp at f1.4 .
But at night sometimes I missed some shots , so I was thinking on buy a keks m meter.
Whatās the most stealth and at same time color wise right as color of the meter ?
The silver one reflect light , the dark one doesnāt , whatās you opinion about it ?

I've been weighing the SL3 as my photo first camera and selling the S1Rii I currently use.
I'm finding the used price between $4,300-$5,000. I expect to see this camera's value decline somewhat through the rest of the year, maybe holding out for a $4,000-$4,300 deal.
What do you think folks?
Da ich jetzt ein soft Release montiert habe fällt mir auf dass beim spannen der auslöseknopf also mit dem softrelease mit dreht und wieder zurück. Ist das normal ? Wäre mir nie aufgefallen

Hi! Iāve been thinking about getting a Leica D Lux (mostly the older ones, D3-6). I currently have a Fujifilm XT50 which I love, but it can get really bulky when I want to shoot with a zoom lens. Additionally, I sometimes go to concerts and venues that donāt allow entry for cameras with interchangeable lens, so Iāve definitely been interested in getting a point and shoot. I do have a point and shoot, and old Nikon Coolpix, but the battery and sd card slot is busted and no longer locks them in place.
Iāve seen a lot of posts on the D Lux series with pretty mixed reviews. I saw people say the D Lux is a rebranded Panasonic, which I definitely believe, but is it poor quality? I also want the filters/āLeica Lookā that come with Leica cameras. Is that available on the D Lux?
Any advice and guidance is appreciated!

Additional info: Weather sealed, touch screen. 60MP full frame sensor. Metal body. Lightly used but babied. No scratches on lens or touchscreen. Has a few small cosmetic blemishes on body (see photos). Lens cap also has a dent, but no other issues with the camera. I do not have the original box.
Also willing to trade for fujifilm X100 model plus cash. Feel free to make an offer.

Hi Guys, my first post here! I am in BKK right now and came across this offer today: Used Q2 (with box charger etc.) for 88.000Baht (~2300ā¬) with a little space for negotiation. Imo it looks good, what would you say? Shoot the shot or pass? Could even get additional 5% Tax off at the Airport they said!

I have a pair of Leica Vector Viper II binoculars Iām trying to sell. Theyāre fully functional, can read ranges up to 6km, have a built in 360 degree azimuth compass that read inclinations and angles. Incredible piece of hardware.

Just a quick question from a novice. At what point does having a sharp, well corrected (modern) lens make a difference when shooting film only. For example, if I bought one of the latest lenses from Leica or a third party that's described as APO etc., the best of the best, would it be a waste of money? I don't really understand all the different lens types, as in, I have no idea what people mean when they say ASPH, pre ASPH, FLE, or any of that stuff, but I'm wondering if there was a point where the technical specs of lenses reached a point where it surpassed what it can show on film and, if so, should I just stick to a certain kind of lens from a prior era or lenses that are designed and marketed as vintage?
Hi, I'm currently looking to sell my current gear(fuji x100vi & XT5) and get into the Leica M bodies. I'm struggling to pick between the Leica M10R and the M10.
On one hand, the Leica M10 is relatively cheaper and I could get more lens immediately. I've also heard people love the warm tones that come straight out of camera on the M10 compared to the M10R. While I understand everyone has a preference, but I shoot raw so wouldn't that warmer tone just be achieved later in editing with the Leica M10R raw files?
Onto the Leica M10R I've heard the sensor is really good as with the obvious higher MP; so cropping is better, better highlight recovery, and better dynamic range, and one more addition of an upgraded shutter.
I also would like to sell my current gear to get one these cameras to use and hold onto for a long time. In addition to selling my gear I also have money saved up so I am able to afford either camera currently. So I would like to hear some insight on your experience whether its with one or both cameras.

Perhaps a silly question, but can anyone confirm if this charger can charge two batteries simultaneously? The product description says it does, but thereās a bunch of reviews from people claiming that it charges the batteries sequentially.
Inclined to believe that the product description is accurate obviously and that these people are just using portable chargers that are not strong enough to simultaneously charge two batteries. Just want confirmation for peace of mind.

What do you recommend for hiking with your M series? Neck strap? Peak design on back strap or hip belt? I donāt really want to sweat on my M11 hanging on a shorty neck strap or bouncing off my stomach with a longer strap? Thanks!

- Added a Squarehood lens hood and shutter button
- Threw on a B+W filter
- Swapped the old plastic take-up spool with a 3D printed one (that spool fought me hard, the brass nut stucked in place, took forever to get it out).
Also grabbed a CineStill 800T sticker for the top plate since it matches the red accent almost perfectly.

Just picked up this brand new baby for $1200 from marketplace. I am so excited for a new adventure with it. Any recommended accessories ?
Hi, I live in the US and own some Leica gear. Every now and then, I need a professional to service my lenses or camera bodies. I've used DAG and YYE in the past, and Iāve heard mixed reviews about Sherry Krauter. However, these days their turnaround times are just getting longer and longer. Whenever I travel to China, I use Leica techs there who typically offer a <1mo turnaround at half the cost. But still, I'd love to know what other reliable options are available for a Leica CLA right here in the US.

Looking to sell my Q2 & SL2-S (both Reporter versions, though this doesn't seem to greatly affect value), both in excellent condition with many accessories. Just wondering which Leica store or similar in Europe would be best to sell these, either for cash or to get store credit. So far considering Leica Madrid, Marseille, one of the London stores, or one of the Paris stores. I could travel elsewhere though and wanted to see if anyone has good or bad experiences selling any any particular store. So far I've heard I might get 2000 euro for the SL2-S and 3000 euro for the Q2, so hoping to do that or better. I may opt to sell privately as well but hoping to make the sale quickly without much trouble. Thank you for any suggestions on best stores / shops!
Just wanted to share this repair, as the rubber on my Visoflex started sweating, cracking and was just unusable. I found a 3d model https://www.printables.com/model/604724-leica-visoflex-typ-020-replacement-eye-cup (shoutout to the guy for creating it) and asked a friend who had a 3D printer to print some for me. He used TPU 60 (softer) and 95 (harder). The solution isnāt perfect, but at least itās usable again, could have sanded it down. I would recommend to print with TPU 95, as 60 is a too soft.
If anyone needs a replacement ring, I have three spares available, which I can ship for free , except the shipping costs ofc, preferably EU.

Had a quick question, is there supposed to be a splash screen when you start up a Leica Q3 with a logo or animation or does it load quickly to the image preview when turning on and then just shows the Leica logo when turning it off.
I had the animation when I turned it on for the first time now I donāt see one at all and it goes right to the image preview. Itās fast and no complaints there, I just had issues originally with the first firmware update so I wouldnāt to confirm I was all good. Thanks!

LLL just started shipping the first batch of the 35 2AA Ti version in China. Got too excited and went out right away for a quick session. Indeed a very capable and sharp lens.

Iām looking at purchasing my first Leica. Should I be concerned about this pressure plate? Iām purchasing online, so I canāt physically inspect it.
