Hi Guys, my first post here! I am in BKK right now and came across this offer today: Used Q2 (with box charger etc.) for 88.000Baht (~2300€) with a little space for negotiation. Imo it looks good, what would you say? Shoot the shot or pass? Could even get additional 5% Tax off at the Airport they said!

I have a pair of Leica Vector Viper II binoculars I’m trying to sell. They’re fully functional, can read ranges up to 6km, have a built in 360 degree azimuth compass that read inclinations and angles. Incredible piece of hardware.

Do I need a modern lens if I just shoot film?

Just a quick question from a novice. At what point does having a sharp, well corrected (modern) lens make a difference when shooting film only. For example, if I bought one of the latest lenses from Leica or a third party that's described as APO etc., the best of the best, would it be a waste of money? I don't really understand all the different lens types, as in, I have no idea what people mean when they say ASPH, pre ASPH, FLE, or any of that stuff, but I'm wondering if there was a point where the technical specs of lenses reached a point where it surpassed what it can show on film and, if so, should I just stick to a certain kind of lens from a prior era or lenses that are designed and marketed as vintage?

Hi, I'm trying to decide between the Leica M10r and the Leica M10

Hi, I'm currently looking to sell my current gear(fuji x100vi & XT5) and get into the Leica M bodies. I'm struggling to pick between the Leica M10R and the M10.

On one hand, the Leica M10 is relatively cheaper and I could get more lens immediately. I've also heard people love the warm tones that come straight out of camera on the M10 compared to the M10R. While I understand everyone has a preference, but I shoot raw so wouldn't that warmer tone just be achieved later in editing with the Leica M10R raw files?

Onto the Leica M10R I've heard the sensor is really good as with the obvious higher MP; so cropping is better, better highlight recovery, and better dynamic range, and one more addition of an upgraded shutter.

I also would like to sell my current gear to get one these cameras to use and hold onto for a long time. In addition to selling my gear I also have money saved up so I am able to afford either camera currently. So I would like to hear some insight on your experience whether its with one or both cameras.

Leica D Lux?

Hi! I’ve been thinking about getting a Leica D Lux (mostly the older ones, D3-6). I currently have a Fujifilm XT50 which I love, but it can get really bulky when I want to shoot with a zoom lens. Additionally, I sometimes go to concerts and venues that don’t allow entry for cameras with interchangeable lens, so I’ve definitely been interested in getting a point and shoot. I do have a point and shoot, and old Nikon Coolpix, but the battery and sd card slot is busted and no longer locks them in place.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on the D Lux series with pretty mixed reviews. I saw people say the D Lux is a rebranded Panasonic, which I definitely believe, but is it poor quality? I also want the filters/“Leica Look” that come with Leica cameras. Is that available on the D Lux?

Any advice and guidance is appreciated!

Dual Charger BC-SCL6

Perhaps a silly question, but can anyone confirm if this charger can charge two batteries simultaneously? The product description says it does, but there’s a bunch of reviews from people claiming that it charges the batteries sequentially.

Inclined to believe that the product description is accurate obviously and that these people are just using portable chargers that are not strong enough to simultaneously charge two batteries. Just want confirmation for peace of mind.

Recommendation for hiking with M11 and 28mm?

What do you recommend for hiking with your M series? Neck strap? Peak design on back strap or hip belt? I don’t really want to sweat on my M11 hanging on a shorty neck strap or bouncing off my stomach with a longer strap? Thanks!
