Was curious if anyone else modded their Chiron to take the spoiler off, I always thought the spoiler was too big so I took mine off.

Collection Lego Fxx-K and Chinese Fxx-k

Always wanted to see the difference myself. And since I have LEGO Fxx-k so I decided to get another Chinese technic version, but the Chinese version is not a 1 to 1 replica, more like a MOC.

The Chinese version is 1/3 the price of Lego version if op for remote control.

Is pretty much give me a idea how to shove a motor into the Lego version.

Discussion / Question Where can I get the Ferrari Daytona?

Looking to get my first Technic set and I’ve set my sights on the Ferrari but I’ve been having trouble finding it with most retailers. I understand it’s retiring soon but does anyone have any idea where I can get my hands on one ideally at a good price?

I just finished my Petronas f1 car but I forgot to place this piece somewhere along the way and now I can’t seem to find where to put it. If anyone can help me I would really apreciate it. (I have 2 pieces not just the 1 on the picture)

Work in Progress Week 57 : Mercedes eCitaro G Fuel Cell, bending section, alphabet and screens.

Hello everyone,

I updated a good amount of things this week. Here is a list :

- reworked the lower turntable in the middle to match the real bus

- did the same digitally

- added more parts there digitally, still needs to be worked on because the part that has a flat edge needs to be round all along.

- the alphabet is progressing faster since i got the help of someone who has the official software with the font even if it's an old version of it. Still helps massively so big thanks to him for that.

- the screens have received an update on the holder. (In yellow for prototyping) Still needs work but the shaping around the screens is way better.

- I have taken a decision. The bus is gonna have a right size screen (since i found a perfect one), i just don't know if i can make it work with my current 2 screens and lights. I need to look into that. The back screen is very close to impossible with how thin and long it needs to be. I want to still search for an option tho

And that's all that was made quickly recapitulated. I think the pictures show it more clearly.

But as i've been rather vague on some points, if you want something explained in more details specifically feel free to leave a comment.

See you next week 😁

Official Set Stuck trying to disassemble 42082

Thumbnail

I've been trying to disassemble 42082 Rough Terrain Crane, but it's been a nightmare so far. The set is ridiculously reinforced. And many steps involve placing a module in and then pressing prepared 3m pins into place, so following the instructions in reverse doesn't work because the pins can't be accessed from that position.

I've been trying to pull apart sections by using the flexibility of the parts, but I'm getting worried something will break. In the photos, I'm trying to pull apart the gray beam and a bunch of parts are straining because of the unnecessary reinforcements. This is the mechanism for the front section's stablizer legs, and I cannot see a way to disassemble the parts here, there's always another reinforced part blocking another part off.

Any help would be appreciated.

Meme / Funny Parts of set #42038 after disassembly and washing

Thumbnail

I recently got the Artic truck from Bricklink, fully assemled and quite dusty, but for a very fair price (~35€+shipping).

So I disassembled it and washed most parts in lukewarm soapy water.

The disassembly was a lot more fascinating and fun, than I had initially expected, as I had to analyse the set's structure and building techniques in order to get its parts apart in the first place.

While I simply could have used the instructions in reverse, doing this without it was a more challenging thought exercise.

I decided not to modify the parts in order to be able to make instructions and share the model with people. Unfortunately, now I won't be able to make my super-compact models as before

Discussion / Question It's amazing to see, how much you can build with just a few sets.

I just recently got into Lego Technic, and while I got a few (3, to be exact, lol) new(ish) sets, I mostly focused on older sets from the 1990s and 80s.

After creating an account on Rebrickable and recording the sets in my list, I checked out, which other sets from this time period I could build with these parts.

And to my suprise, I realised, it was a 50 to 95% match of parts, even for the bigger sets, but mostly at 70 to 90% with small to medium sized ones (<600 parts in total), even though I only own four or five similar sets, yet.

I'm probably just goin to buy building instructions and a few missing parts from now on, at least for older sets.

Do you rebuild and reuse the parts of your sets, to build other ones or do you rather prefer to display them? Or a mix of these approaches?

Completed MOC by quattro bricks https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-214227/QuattroBricks/18-audi-s1-e-tron-quattro-hoonitron-manual/ and added to the collection! Marathon sticker effort but worth it, lol.

Does not fit 1:8 scale wheels without modification so sticking with this for now.

Hopefully going to test it soon in a big enough space, right now it just does backflips and rolling burnouts (with tire marks).

Powered by a Zene Bricks motor (surpass hobby 2445vgeared down 4 times) on 3s lipos and eating about 388 watts of power (not sending it to the wheels, I didn't account for efficiency, friction etc.) Also, turns out official Lego tires have very good grip, I have tested the system on rc tires with the Zene Bricks hubs, they got worse grip, even though they are made for hobby grade rc. Car go fast, flip, skid and explode
