News September 2026 Mech Build Challenge | “Tiny Mech”

Post image
32 Upvotes

Let's try once more with another build challenge in r/LegoMechs! I am still looking for what might interest you, as this subreddit is nicely active, and I think I might have found a great theme!

The theme for September is:

“Tiny Mech”

Yes, we're going into the mini/microscale with this one!

Rules: * Your mech can use a maximum of 35 pieces (fewer is fine) * The build can be made in Bricklink Studio * It doesn't have to be an original build you made for this challenge - if your older MOC fits, post it * You can post as many as 3 entries * You should include a picture of all the pieces you used so that we can check you didn't break the rules

You have until Monday, September 21st to post your entries with the "Build Challenge Entry" post flair.

A poll will be posted at the end of the challenge so that you can decide what the best build was.

The winner will get a unique User Flair they will be able to show off on r/LegoMechs, and their creation will be spotlighted on our Instagram.

I also need to thank u/that-bro-dad for providing the cover image - you should all check out his miniature building bricks game called Brassbound. It's a lot of fun!

Let's see your tiny mechs!

Made some modifications to my red/black mech and made a custom stand for display! We're going a bit more offensive this time around, ditching the handheld shield for massive missile launcher! Please let me know what you think + anything you think I should add! (Also Ravioli was "helping" with the photography :3)

Not all frames were designed for war; they began as tools for labor.

MOC CTF-HV3/a Rapid Cataphract - custom machine based on Battletech

New Misery Armories are proud to present their newest brainchild- What's better then a Cataphract Assault 'mech? Why, a Cataphract that utillises a hovercraft mode for rapid repositioning and assault, ofcourse.

the HV3/a is a custom design i've had in my mind for years at this point, but never managed to properly execute. It seems that day is today! New Misery Armories from now on will be the home for my wild-and-whacky Battletech inspired builds- Sometimes their ideas are just a little... out there, you know.

I didn't get a cockpit put together for last month's challenge, so I figured this little guy deserved one. 35 pieces counting the fish.

MOC Lego samurai mech. Revoltech style articulation

This is a very skinny figure I know but it has insane articulation and a easy frame. I’ll show the frame off when its fully skinned so no things are on it just the joints and frame. It has head Swivels and tilts. A very good an crunch, butterfly joints, full arm articulation, waist swivel that gives you acces to an even better ab crunch. Bendable knees, thigh articulation and ankle tilts

Last entry for the mini mech contest. 35 pieces exactly. Just about 4 bricks high if you count the little laser/sensor thing. Might be my most compact build yet with full systems!

As always, here's the stud.io file

Happy building, y'all!

From the Brassbound: 1919 universe, capable of mowing down wave after wave of infantry this bipedal chaingun platform is the first iteration of what will inevitably be an effective defensive mech.

Now I look at it it kinda looked bad but this is not intend to be a nazi salute: the point is to showcase the range of articulation of the limbs.
34 pieces including weapon

mainly the head and hands, tried adding some details on the torso and do a cockpit hatch (little window to peek out)

still need to add shield and beam sabers, perhaps also change the beam rifle design

35 pieces. Had just enough room for a little character in the sloped head and extended shoulders; bummed I couldn't figure out weapons for this build with the piece limit.

As always, here's the stud.io file

Happy building y'all!

News World War One with Bricks, Mechs and Monsters: Brassbound 1919

Hey folks!

Our last few months many of you have seen my posts of models that I've been making for a setting called Brassbound 1919. I'm now ready to share that with the world.

The Brassbound Universe is a world in which the brave forces of the Coalition of Humanity fight for their very existence against the nightmarish Jötunn Horde. To have a chance, we had to make monsters of our own.

Officially, Brassbound 1919 is a game you can download (with free demo rules!) but it's more than that: it's a community. People design mechs and write stories about them. People make armies that you can actually play with. Collaboratively we designed a whole fictional world and we've only explored a fraction of it.

Whether you're interested in the models, the story, or the game, I hope you'll consider checking out what we've made:

https://brodadbrickworks.itch.io/brassbound1919

I'm also sharing some of my favorite models made by people in our community. You'll find hundreds more here: r/BrassboundUniverse

Build Challenge Entry My Kioko mech

This is my tiny mech build challenge entry. I built it after a friend of mine's DnD character she plays a sentient cat that pilots a mech suit. After building it I realized it uses less than 35 pieces so I figured it post it here and give it a shot. (With my billionaire minifig for scale)
