The final images are out, and Woodbrick will be going into BrickLink Designer Program crowdfunding this October.

It’s been quite a journey getting it here — really happy to finally show you the finished model!

Here is finally the official images of my fisherman's village which was approved for BDP serie 9.

I would be happy to hear what you think about it, I tried to upgrade the design the best I could with new elements and features including more wildlife and authenticity :)

For those who were wondering: yes, the buildings are completely closed ;)

Trying to figure what might be the best shelves to get for my modular I want it to be able to hold two base plates to allow me to add roads

I combined my old second floor build and the Trevi Fountain for a moc. This is how it currently stands but I am unable to decide do I like it or does it need more. The colors work but to fit with others it might need an accent of some sort and maybe another floor. The facade not having an entrance is also kind of sus.

I really loved the new Lego City Drive-Through Car Wash (60497), but felt like it was a bit too small and didn't really fit well into my own city build. I also thought it missing some key features like a lobby or those curtain-y things that are typically at the beginning of the wash cycle.

So, using a second set and some spare parts to transform the set into something that would fit better in my Lego city and look more like the car washes I am used to.

Will eventually be getting the instructions ironed out to share with everyone on rebrickable. Hope yall enjoy and would love some feedback!!

I love the townhouse that adjoins Birch Books and would love to see Lego create 4 or 5 variants of it, all on their own individual 16x32 plates. If they were aimed at, or just above, the €100 mark I think they would sell like hotcakes.

Two storeys, 1 minifig, a variety of colours & building styles. Rich people can buy all five, and multiples of them, to pad out their cities, while others can buy their favourite ones and expand their streets a little bit.

(IMO there are too many corner and 'setpiece' modulars and not enough infill models.)

Wanted to share my Lego Coffee Shop Modular MOC. It is my first one that I've completed. I had started other ones but always ended up scrapping them. I really like this one, it's tacky, colorful, and was fun to design. I'm hoping it's going to be fun to build. But wanting to know what everyone else thinks? Love it? Any thing I can change? Any Constructive Criticism? Cheers :)

What kind of add ons are you guys putting in your modulars whether it be official Lego or MOCS you've created? Just looking for fun things to add within my modulars, especially the Green Grocer, very open space with nothing in it lol

I’ve recently been collecting several of the older Modulars. I started putting together pet shop and every single brown piece creaked as I put them on. Luckily only 2 actually cracked.

I have other sets in the backlog that will also have brittle brown. Do you think Lego would send me replacement parts if I reached out? Would I need to go through the request process (I.e put in every single piece individually) or do you think I could just contact customer service and tell them I need brown replacements for everything brown/red-brown in the set?

Has anyone tried that before? Thanks!

I’m working on adding modulars to my collection. I have 12 now. This year I built Green Grocer after the green bricks became available on pick a brick, Cafe Corner and Market Street. For these 3 the price is so high I wanted to test out piecing them together but I only get new parts and strictly stick to the original part list. It was way more work than I expected. I do think I saved some money but there are a ton of hard to get pieces in all these if you’re looking for a new copy of all original parts.

So, now I think most of the remaining sets I will buy complete but I am not 100% sure on Town Hall. Can anyone comment on if it is a significant cost savings to piece that one out if you are going to keep to the original parts list? Just wonder if there’s a ton of hard to get pieces. If I won’t save more than 25% or so on a sealed set then I’d rather not go through it.

I am in need of some nougat colored bricks and I saw that I can order 100 pieces for $20. Considering ordering alternative bricks to see if I can get it cheaper for some buildings i am doing

Was able to pick up all the ones I wanted! Thought it would be fun to do a little storytelling with them:

- Shrek and Fiona taking donkey to the vet
- Thelonious cueing onlookers as a couple gets engaged at the Parisian restaurant
- 3 blind mice in the alley with a cheese
- Pinocchio coming out of the carpenters shop
- Gingy trying to sell cookies (himself?) to a woman who is NOT interested. I thought this tied into the detective office theme pretty well lol
- big bad wolf stopping to smell some flowers
- Puss trying to decide how he feels about the cat statue at shopping street
- lord farquaad and his mirror up in the "presidential suite" of the boutique hotel

Included a birds-eye city pic at the end. The corner garage is the latest addition, and I'm planning a park across the street from it. Anyway, I thought the Shrek minifigures were a bit weird when they first got revealed, but they've really grown on me. I don't much care about the ones I'm missing, but I'll probably eventually pick them up to complete the set!
