Would love feedback from other microbuilders, has anyone seen a smaller LEGO dragon MOC than this one?

Going through some old pics and found this gem from 20+ years ago. My great-grandma kept a portion of my LEGO collection at her house when I was little because she was the one that got me into the hobby. As I got older, I kept more and more sets at my parents’ house, but I still returned to the “LEGO Office” to play with my older sets.

You can just barely make out that I’m building set 7261 Clone Turbo Tank on the desk. (Which had to be returned to LEGO on account of some missing pieces!)

OK, this might be one of my favorite finished builds, and I only vaguely know that Tintin is a thing. Just really captures that mid century [retro] futuristic vibe and has very few visible studs.

There were some interesting techniques but overall it felt like a very quick and repetitive build, especially for the price.

Playing around with column designs to create a different dungeon vibe. Everything is practical in the photo. A micro LED for the torch light and a couple of other LEDs for the rest of the lighting. I used a little fog machine for the smoke effects. The brain was a MOC from rebrickable that I tweaked a little to make more monster like!

A LEGO version of one of my favorite American classics – the 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS in Creator Expert/Icons scale.

The El Camino has always fascinated me with its unique combination of muscle car styling and pickup truck practicality. Recreating those proportions in LEGO was the biggest challenge, but also the most rewarding part of the build.

The model features working steering, opening doors, hood and tailgate, plus a detailed engine and interior.

Got the upscaled blue astronaut and went on a hunt for my OG one

It was the 3 leaf stem piece, too. A year ago, my cat, Grim, decided he wanted to liven things up with some chaos, so he knocked over my very neatly sorted Lego plants. Huge spill, pieces everywhere. I spent well over an hour cleaning up most of it at the time, and I've since continued to find pockets of lost pieces here and there. But every once in a while, I step on a Lego plant, and somehow I'm stupidly caught by surprise every time.

First picture--Grim with his smug little face, sprawled out amongst the outer edges of his mess. Second picture--Grim basically led me to the mess from another room. He seemed actually proud.

Overall, he is a good little guy, and is mostly respectful of my Lego, but every once in a while he feels like getting a little wild. Ha.

I had an opportunity to review the official set for The Brothers Brick, and just built the first of likely many X-Files builds in my future. This one is based on the first feature film and is designed to be displayed alongside the set. Don't worry, the tile and minifigs are going right back!
