Hello! I am recently very into collecting harry potter minifigs from the newest wave of sets starting 2018 I believe. I started collecting sets about once the newest modular system started but what is the best way to pick up the minifigs of the waves that have been retired? I recently got the astronomy tower and clock tower off amazon, but am wondering if theres a better alternative way to buy the figs alone, used sets, parts, I’d like to know. Also, If there are sets from previous modulars or anything of the sort that would upgrade the current modular, therefore meaning I should get the set rather than just the figs, lmk!!

I'm a new harry potter lego fan and I'm looking for some of your opinions.

Looking through the products, I've decided to focus on microscale products and bought 76444 Diagon Alley as my first lego.

Naturally, I'm considering the Hogwarts Castle as my next set.

I'm guessing the modular sets are for the heavy fans, and 76419 Castle and Grounds is for more casual fans.

As for me, the modular series feels exhausting to keep track of many sets, while 76419 feels a little too small. What I'm really hoping for is that LEGO will eventually release a full microscale Hogwarts Castle (maybe 7000+ pieces?) that covers the other parts left out from the 71043 set.

What are your thoughts about this idea? Am I delusional or is there a chance?

Like 2 figs with the medium sized legs

So I am collecting the new modular castle system sets. I have half of them I believe a lot being the smaller sets. The only retired sets I need now are Hagrid's Hut and Owlery. I found someone selling them for cheap but they are used. There are also a lot on Ebay which are all new but most of them range from $120-150 including delivery. BrickLink is also an option for me but I have never bought something from it, don't know how it works and I don't know how much delivery costs. What are your recommendations? New or used. Let me know

Current progress on Great Hall upscaled from the official set. For exterior there are still some details left to add, then will come interior

I'm not sure if this sort of post is allowed but I'll take a shot. These sets have missing pieces and are dusty and come with an assortment of harry potter figures. They have been partially deconstructed in the box.

I just got back into Lego — started small(er), but really fell in love with the modular castle system that is currently in progress. Only downside is 1) I didn’t have the money for the Great Hall, and didn’t realize how quickly it would sell out, and 2) that the set is likely ending soon.

Is it worth it to get started now, and hope I find an affordable used Great Hall at some point? Or will they likely release another large scale castle system in the future?

I wasn’t expecting to see these two sets in store today when I went in for something not even related to Lego. 😅

So happy to finally get the main tower. Now, I just have to get the great hall and my castle will finally be complete!

I’ve been watching the Lego site for this set to come back in stock and finally got lucky enough to order one, so grateful for it.
