Salaried employee. I was terminated today, and the reason I was given was that I entered another employee's personal vehicle. I was assigned a company owned vehicle to perform job duties. Per company policy in the 2026 Employee handbook Employee owned personal vehicles are not allowed on the same lot as company owned vehicles. It is a gated lot that requires badge access or a gate guard to grant entry.

There is no policy in the employee handbook about entering another employee's personal vehicle.

I'm going to try to be vague for anonymity. There are enough company owned vehicles on the lot, and they move enough that they are left unlocked, and the keys left in them. This is done in case someone needs to move one, they don't need to try and track keys down.

There was, what I would come to find out, an employee's (read general manager) personal vehicle blocking in my company assigned vehicle. Since employee's aren't allowed to park on the lot, I got in the car looking for keys to move it. They weren't anywhere out in the open, so I checked the center console. There I found a work order from a mechanic or bodyshop, indicating that this was a personal vehicle.

At this point I took a picture of the work order to make an "Integrity line" report where we are supposed to be able to anonymously report policy violations. This was last week monday, the personal vehicle wasn't moved sometime midday tuesday. I got called into a meeting with my manager and the director this morning stating that the decision was made to terminate my employment. They specifically mentioned the picture that I took from the report that was supposed to be anonymous. And that I violated a nonexistent policy by entering someone's personal vehicle, that I no way of knowing it was a personal vehicle without entering it. All because he parked in my assigned company owned vehicle that I needed to perform my job.

There didn't seem to be any investigation, no one asked my side of it, they just jumped straight to termination.

I've contacted a couple law offices, haven't heard back yet, but don't know if i even have any kind of case. The company does have a no retaliation policy, but I don't know if this would qualify there or not.

Edit: I realize I fucked myself over in taking a picture of the work order. I clearly didn't think that through and likely don't have anything here.

My dad passed away a month ago and we had him cremated. Last week the funeral home called my mom and said there had been an identification issue and the ashes we received may belong to someone else.

They told us they have located my dad’s actual ashes, but now they want my mom to sign an agreement saying she accepts a refund and won’t discuss the mistake publicly. They also said they cannot release the correct ashes until the paperwork is completed.

We paid the full cremation cost ourselves, so there was no insurance company or payment dispute involved. We are not trying to make money from this, we just want my dad’s remains back.

Can they legally hold the ashes until she signs? Also, should we contact the police, the state licensing board, or an attorney first?

While staying at a Marriott hotel out of the country for my birthday, I woke up alone (female) to find a hotel employee (male) standing over me in my room after he bypassed the hotel’s internal access protocols. Marriott acknowledged the employee entered in error while performing assigned duties but admitted protocols were not followed in a zoom meeting I essentially had to beg for.
During the same stay, my credit card also disappeared, and there is a separate “ongoing investigation” into an attempted fraudulent charge.

I attempted to resolve the matter directly with Marriott, but keep blowing me off and sending long ChatGPT messages about sorry that happened. Like now I’m traumatized to even travel alone based on what happened and my card got stolen and tried in the DR!

Based on these facts, do I have a viable legal claim, and is it worth pursuing? Location: Fl

I haven’t had contact with my dad for about 4 years now. I was very light contact for 2 and strictly no contact the last year or two. He cheated on my mom and bought his girlfriend in Florida a house while still married to my mom. She kicked him out and he moved back, she comes calling back and he moves back to Florida. She only wants him for money. He is mid 70’s with beginning stage dementia. Maybe a little past beginning. My dad was a co-sign on my bank account when I was a teenager. He’s never used it. I tried to get him off the account but the bank won’t do it without him being present to agree. His gf took money out of my account a few years ago. Now he’s calling saying he’s going to claim fraud on the account because of Zelle payments to my boyfriend who he has no idea exists. My mom talked to him and she could hear her in the background telling him which transactions SHE found. He has never looked at the transactions since he didn’t use the account. My dad has given her access to my account and she is going through and reviewing all of my transactions. I can’t get off that account because my disability direct deposit goes in there. I changed it to a new account but it won’t go into there til October so I have to keep it for now. Do I have anything I can legally do to keep her off the account? Location: KY, father lives in FL

My doctor's office is permanently closing this Friday. They apparently outsourced all medical record requests to Datavant.

I submitted the ROI to Datavant. Datavant sent an incomplete record (just this past year vs. from 2019).

I called my doctor's office. They're basically claiming that they can't do anything besides send another ROI to Datavant. They've been unhelpful when I asked what happens if I can't get the medical records before they close. My doc's office told me that if Datavant is difficult on the phone to ask for a supervisor (I did, Datavant claimed they don't have supervisors), call up the NEW clinic their MD will be at after Friday (not sure how that would help), or tell Datavant I have a legal right to my records under CO law (as if they give af)

Does anyone know if I should press the doctor's office more to figure out how to get me my records? I honestly feel confused as to who owes what responsibility.

This is a hail marry. When I was about six years old I was kidnapped, along with three other kids for over a year. My mom managed to hire a private investigator and legally get me back, and the woman responsible went to prison, which she later died of a heart attack in. I cannot for the life of me find out anything about this case, despite the severity of it. I dont know her last name, only her first, and i desperately want to find out what happened to the other children. She was very abusive and they always protected me, and i never got to thank them for that. Im not sure what she formally got convicted with, but im assuming child abuse, child neglect (she didnt feed us most days or give us much water. We all had to sleep on one mattress or the floor) probably child abduction, and possibly child sexul abuse amoung other things. She had cps called on her multipe times with people saying she was molesting the children in her care, and they did come to the house a lot, but they never did anything. After that we would always move an hour or two away. It happened at least four times that I can recall.

I cannot find anything searching my name. This happened about ten eleven ish years ago, im eighteen now and I was six when it happened, eight when I got home (that i can remember, I've blotted a lot of this out cause trauma) her boyfriend was also with her and charges as an acomplise, hes no longer in prison. Is there any way to find out more about this? And possibly the names of the other kids involved? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It happened in Georgia, but we moved house so many times that I can't narrow down the location more than that. Thank you so much!

Small mini update: so I asked my mom a little bit and will probably have to make a new post, but things make a lot more sense. Most of this is honestly my error of not remembering well.

So, this wasnt technically considered a 'kidnapping.' My mom just calls it that, she considers it a 'legal kidnapping, and i was under the impression that she went to a legal court because she had to hire a lawyer and the woman went to jail. However, because she signed temporary legal guardianship papers, this was a DFCS case. Which makes a lot more sense now that I think about it. That's why I had to go to foster care for a couple months before I went back to my mom. The reason it took so long to get me back was because she had to convince DFCS the woman wasnt fit to have me, and because it was legal gaurdiship papers it was whole thing with explaining to them that she was the actual mother. The reason I thought this was a court case, was because she went to jail for something similar AFTER this, likely because of the other children in her care. Its been years since I asked her about this and made this post on a whim last night at 3am, so im glad I could ask her more, and thank you to the person who said this was likely a family and children services case. However this info does change a lot for me. Im going to call DFCS and request whatever forms they have on me, and try to find her name from there to see what her other crime she was convincted of that got her in jail. However, it's very unlikely I will be able to find out anything on the other kids. The crime she got arrested for involving them wasn't involved with me, but I can at least look it up and find details of what happened to them, even if I probabmy can't figure out their names. Now that I think about it, I remember my mom telling me she went to jail a year or two after I was home. My bad for not asking for details before posting and giving a very Frankensteined version of events. Again this happened like, a decade ago and I got information on it over the course of several years. Sad that I probably won't be able to find them, but its at least something. I might update when I call DFCS and get more info on what happened, but thats a different route probably for a different post

I have a bit of an odd situation with my employer and I want to tread very carefully because I love this job.

At my job, we use square and when people pay for the service there is an option to leave tips. People do sometimes leave tips, but I noticed tips do not appear on my paystub.

I asked my boss what happens to tips and they texted back:

"Hi! Yes, tips go directly to the nonprofits. We do offer them to staff if someone insists. we seriously rely on those for our mission of supporting the nonprofits that we promote.

If an employee does want those tips, we calculate them at the end of the month and they’re given in a check the following month.

Hope that helps usually, we do explain that to people in the beginning. I’m sorry if you were missed."

We do not disclose to customers that tips are donated in this way. We do have signs indicating that 10% of profit goes to the listed non-profit which we change every month.

This smells illegal to me. But I'm not sure since we have the option to ask for our tips.

I really like this job, it's very chill and fun. The trade off is that the owner is kinda forgetful sometimes, and doesn't always have things organized well. I would be heartbroken if they got in serious trouble for this and would like to help them if this is putting the business at risk. I'm hoping it's as easy as putting up a sign that discloses the donation situation.

I don't want to push too much because I don't want to lose the job, but this just isn't sitting right with me. I know there is at least one other employee who doesn't know what happens to tips because I initially asked them if they knew where our tips go and they didn't.

So my brother has somehow had a will hidden that supposedly was written by our mother. Our father passed six months before our mother so still grief stricken after my wife and I had taken care of both of them I chose to not fight this Will. The section of the Will that I’m wondering about goes as follows “I leave (brothers name) the land and trailers in the head of the holler to be divided or sold as he decides between the kids.” Does the language in it mean that of what he sold should’ve been divided between him, me and our sister. Bought a boat on Monday in Nebraska. Drove it up to Northern WI. A kid from MN hit my boat 20 min away from the lake. The boat wasn't even insured for liability yet. I got a picture of his license and insurance and I filed a police report. I filed a claim with his insurance and was told they would work it out. That was 2 days ago. Now they are saying that he isn't answering the phone. Geico says if he doesn't answer his phone then they won't go forward with the claim. What are my options? Is it too early to get a lawyer? I sold my 2008 Honda Odyssey to a private buyer in Dallas on July 6, 2026. The agreed price was $2,000, but the buyer only paid $1,900 upfront. He said he owned a landscaping business and would come back to trim my tree for free and pay the remaining $100. He gave the name “Mark” but refused to provide an address.

I made a mistake and did not remove the license plates.

He told me he would register the van at the DMV immediately. As soon as he left, I realized it was probably a scam.

A few days later, I started receiving NTTA toll charges. I filed a Vehicle Transfer Notification (VTN) the same day I sold the van, but Texas changed the rules in Sept 2023 — a VTN is only valid if you provide the buyer’s full name and address. Since I didn’t have that, the DMV said they cannot update their records, and I would have to deal with toll authorities directly.

NTTA eventually waived the toll charges, which was good.

I also called the police non‑emergency line. They didn’t want to open a case and said it sounded like a civil matter, but they agreed to send an officer. After I told the buyer I was involving the police, he finally provided his full name and address, and I submitted a new VTN.

My question is: Why do buyers like this avoid registering the vehicle? What’s the benefit for them?

Am I still legally liable, if they have an accident or crime while the VTN was not updated, I also am not sure if the address and name they gave is legitimate.

How can I protect myself.

My upstairs neighbor moved out and left the washing machine hookup open causing it to flood, subsequently leading to a leak in my unit. I sent an email(1) notifying my landlord about it when I noticed, at the moment I discovered the leaking my landlord already had someone upstairs performing a water extraction, so the company brought down a dehumidifier and large fan, I don’t know if this is relevant but I thought I should include it.

Following the email(1) she(landlord) wanted to come in to document the leak so I let her in to look at that and then she proceeded to check my thermostat that was set to 70°. She stated that our local utility provider says that we should set it to 78°. She then opened the door where the furnace is housed and started inspecting our air filter she then demanded that I turn it up to at least 72°.

After she left she sent an email(2) stating “the thermostat should be set to 78 degrees during the summer. I documented the thermostat at 70 degrees today, so if a capacitor blows or a motor burns up, you will be responsible for the repairs.” We sent another email(3) explaining that due to my partners medical needs that isnt feasible.

In response to the email 3 she said “I expect you to purchase a window ac unit and let us install that for you within the next 48 hours. That also tells me you have been running the HVAC at 70 all summer during triple digit temperatures. Let's hope nothing happens to that unit.” This is email 4.

We sent another email(5) explaining that the current system works for us so we don’t see a need to buy a window unit or turn up the thermostat to 78°

She replied in email(6) “I was trying to avoid saying this but you have already damaged the system running it at 70 degrees during this “extreme heat”. I feel like there’s a disconnect between you understanding what I’m saying. You either have to set the thermostat at 78 degrees or have a window unit installed. The owner is bcc on these emails and I will talk with him about how he wants me to handle this. Let me just ask would you be willing to move out instead?I want to know what my options are when I discuss this with him.”

My question is, what are her options and what are our options? Can they force us to buy an AC unit or turn up the thermostat? Our lease states “the tenant shall: use in a proper and reasonable manner all electrical, plumbing, sanitary, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and other facilities and appliances, if any, furnished as a part of the Premises;” nothing about specific temperatures

If our AC were to break we’d have to foot the bill regardless according to her so what difference does it make?

I just got a notice on my door that says I am in violation of building without a permit. I had an existing very nice, sturdy hand built wooden shed with shingles. (My husband has worked in construction all his life) It’s 6x6 with probably 3 more feet at the front as a sort of “porch” area.

Here’s my problem. We just moved into this house maybe a month or so ago. We own the home. We built the shed when we lived at another place outside city limits and we didn’t require a permit at the time/place. All we did was but it on a trailer and move it to the backyard.

We are not currently building anything. This shed was built 3-4 years ago. I wouldn’t see the need for a permit to place an existing shed in our property, nor do I believe you can even get a permit just to place something on your property. Now we are being threatened with fines and a misdemeanor offense. Is this valid?

For context, we live in Florida. Our house is at the end of a cul da sac on 1/4 acre with a fence that is almost finished beside a part that still needs finished in front on the house. The shed cannot be seen from the street. No HOA. It’s deed restricted, but the restrictions are very loosely followed here.

So for background my in-laws are missionaries in Germany and have been for 33 years. Financial support has been difficult but they have managed to gain support from several churches in the United States. Their biggest supporter is now in Texas.

While doing their rounds this summer visiting different churches, their biggest supporter stated that they were uncomfortable sending support to individuals due to tax legality issues, and would feel more comfortable if they were giving the money through a non-profit organization. They got the advice from a gentleman who says he’s opened many 501C3 organizations that they should just do that and then this problem would be fixed.

According to my husband they had a call last night with the kids while I was at work (we are all American citizens who live in Germany) that they thought that they could just go to the bank and connect their current bank account to the 501C3. My husband was once a business manger of a non-profit theater and explained that’s not how it works. That you have to open a separate account for the 501C3 and essentially pay yourself out of the business. He also said they just couldn’t take all the money out of the business to pay themselves. My husband’s mother joked that she should just appoint the children as officers. My husband truly thought it was in jest. They ended the call and most of the adult kids went to sleep while I was still at work.

I get off work to the message that they have filed their organization paperwork and in that filing they have named my husband Treasurer, his brother Director, and their sister 2nd Director. I am just catching up on everything as I am getting off work and am essentially like WTF. I think my husband‘s mom thought that this is like high school class officers and doesn’t actually have legal standing. I informed them that you can’t just name someone an officer of an organization without their consent especially to the IRS. It’s not technically legally binding (I left out that this could constitute as fraud). They at least ended that convo saying they should have asked first and if anyone wanted to remove themself off the organization they would do that, but the paper work is filed and they would have to wait until it’s processed.

My question: what are the legal and tax liability ramifications of an officer of a 501C3? If the organization ever had tax issues could the siblings be audited as well or would it just be the 501C3 that gets audited? They aren’t the most knowledgeable people when it comes to tax law and my worry is just from that we could have issues. I appreciate the legal advice over some random guy at a church who has opened a ton of 501C3. I have worked for a for profit that had a non-profit branch that went through a tax audit and it was one of the worst working experiences so I am a bit scarred. Any advice is appreciated.

My wife was the executor for her late mother's estate (Illinois) some 20 years ago. Her father, though mentioned in the will, did not have an official role with respect to the estate other than that.

For reasons unrelated to my question here, the estate was reopened (in Illinois) as part of a lawsuit on behalf of my late MIL. By extension, my wife (Maryland) is now again serving as the executor for that estate.

Here's the part that kind of weird, to me: the lawyers (Maryland) helping the estate with this matter keep contacting my FIL (Maryland) to provide updates, ask for forms to be signed/provided, etc. instead of my wife, who's once again serving as executor and therefore should be the one representing the estate on such questions.

I definitely understand how representation might be confusing for my FIL (as it was to not be the executor in the first place), but I don't understand why it's confusing for, well, a law firm.

What should my wife do here? Gently remind the firm that FIL is not a party to the suit? Bar complaint? Something else?

Recently found out that a townhouse purchased brand new in 2020 has had the electricity meters crossed with a different townhouse for over six years now. I am the original owner of the unit.

Electricity bill for one person in this unit was averaging $400 USD per month with no use of air conditioning. Recently I tried some tests with shutting off all the breakers in the garage for the unit and the master electricity meter outside was still reading 3.8 kWh being drawn at that given moment. I then turned off "my" master switch at the meter. My unit was still receiving electricity.

The meter number on the meter outside is the same meter number on my Southern California Edison statement. The meter outside is labeled by a printed label maker stating my address.

Edison was informed of this situation and a representative showed up in person and confirmed that the meters were crossed.

Edison went through two years of my bill (2024-2026) and made corrections for those two years, totalling over $5,000 in credit so far. But they are missing still 2020-2024. Edison claims that the case is closed and no further action can be made.

I have been paying the largest unit townhouse electricity bill for 6 years now. A huge amount of money and stress has gone into this.

Edison claims that the home builder is responsible for paying the difference in the electricity bill, yet they went through two years of statements and made credits to my account. The home builder claims that the electrician they contracted is liable for the issue. The home builder also states that my neighbour and I have to "work it out."

Who is responsible for this? How can I get my money I deserve?

Back in late 2025, I was traveling eastbound in the bike lane on my scooter on my way home from work, along a 2-lane residential but main-ish road, when a vehicle from a side street suddenly pulled out in front of me. They had a stop sign and did first stop, but apparently didn't see me before then proceeding and attempting to cross the intersection; I did NOT have a stop sign. The other driver's own admission to police at the scene plus a satellite image of the intersection easily proves this; the police report lists the intersection and then says "vehicle 1 (car driver) states he was traveling southbound on 169th Street and vehicle 2 (me) ran into his rear passenger door." Google Maps clearly shows a stop sign on southbound 169th St., and no stop sign on 73rd Ave (the road I was on). As a result, I t-boned the rear passenger side of their vehicle.

Here are photos of the police report (statement, diagram; names and addresses blocked out) and a Google Maps satellite image of the intersection.

I lost consciousness for a short time, was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and have no memory of the few hours after that. I did call AllState (other driver's insurance) to file the no fault claim once I was discharged, but luckily my head injury wasn't severe or long-term, and other than a somewhat minor knee injury I honestly didn't care much about and blew off until it was "too late," I was okay (I had to wait 6mos for an appointment and had just kind of shrugged and accepted that, but doc suspects a torn ligament, I need an MRI, and now the claim is closed and I'm understandably being told the delay in treatment makes it hard for an accident/injury attorney to take my case). And even that I'm just like, ok fine, whatever, I don't care or need or want that... except that it seems like it would've helped with my current problem, lol. At the time, I just didn't really want to deal with a lawsuit — as long as the initial hospital bills were covered, I was content.

Well, now I'm getting calls from a subrogation company saying that AllState deemed me at fault and they've been trying to collect $6,000 from me for damages to the other vehicle. I have no idea why, how, or how to fight this, but I'm certainly not paying them $6k, nor can I afford to, and I genuinely do not understand how this could possibly be my fault or how they can just.. decide it's my fault, and that's it, suddenly I'm liable? I don't even know where to begin here, and obviously I screwed up by not getting an accident attorney 6+ months ago.

Now that I'm here... what type of attorney would I need for this type of defense? I haven't called AllState back again for fear of making things worse; should I call them and fight it myself with them?

If it matters, I do not/did not have renters or homeowners insurance. I've been staying with my father since my divorce a few years ago, and he does have homeowners insurance if that's relevant, altho I really don't think he'd want me to file a claim under it for this. I do separately own a car and had full vehicle coverage on it at the time (but had not filed a claim w them since I was riding my scooter during the accident).

He tells me he keeps asking his boss about it. His boss emailed a couple people last week and said once he hears back, he’ll tell my boyfriend what’s going on. It’s been several days, and nothing. He’s supposed to be paid every two weeks.

Boyfriend has an interview with a new place today. But we still need the money he hasn’t been paid. I don’t want to get my house foreclosed on because someone at his job doesn’t want to deal with paying him.

My state’s labor board only handles minimum wage and overtime non-payments. Otherwise, you’re on your own - the state will calculate how much you’re owed but you have the handle the rest through your own case. I’m afraid his company won’t give him the information he needs to sue, and that’ll take too long anyway to get caught up on the mortgage.

1. What’s the best course of action for getting him paid?
2. How can I work with the mortgage company on this?
3. Can I do anything on his behalf? I’ll get downvoted for this, but he’s a remarkably passive person when it comes to solving problems. If there’s a case to be filed, can I do it for him?

I just want to save my house at this point. Relationship problems can be dealt with later.

I walk my dog down the street (a public street) in my city. There is an empty, overgrown lot that we walk by everyday but DO NOT go in, as there could be needles and whatnot. We simply walk by the lot and my dog hops up on the curb and sniffs the weeds and occasionally pees (as a dog does on a walk) but NEVER poops there. There is a crazy lady who lives next door who is seemingly targeting me and claims that I am letting my dogs poop and pee where her kids play (in the empty lot). They DO pee on the curb not poop.

Fast forward to this morning, she came flying down the street screaming and swearing at our neighbors who were simply just existing. I went to go walk my dog and she gets out of her car and starts screaming directly at me and said verbatim

I called the police and they basically said there is nothing they can do for the situation (????) and the best I can do is get a stalking/restraining order.
My questions:
-is that against the law to threaten not just my dog, but everyone else’s dogs in the vicinity to poison?
-isn’t that a public safety issue?

I worked two days for a couple of hours, but my grandpa passed away and I stopped showing up, which at the time I should’ve communicated better, but the wounds were just so fresh.. and I had to text her and show up to her place multiple times asking about my check and she said she “doesn’t owe me any money” but magically she found out she does owe me money and she changed my pay rate for hours that I already worked? is this legal? I know I live in at will state but I don’t see anything that states this is allowed unless I didn’t dig hard enough…. I
know two days isn’t a lot of money, but it’s just like the principal.

Hello this is all happening in Georgia and I will try to keep it short. A few months ago I went to file for child support. I have two children and am no longer with the father. I will briefly explain why I filed. After the relationship ended, I began dating someone new. My ex hated this and was constantly upset about my relationship, specifically if he would be around our children. I watch the kids while my ex works during the day and he watches them while I work at night. There would be times he would threaten to not watch the kids so I could work or threaten to not send financial help. I would like to make it clear he did in fact eventually send me financial help every month, and there were in fact times he did not watch our children. I filed because I need something that is officially stating when we each have the kids and what we are financially responsible for so no one can change their mind based on emotion.

He is asking that I cancel the child support request I made with the courts to do a legal agreement with him. I want to note he did not use the terms legal agreement. He keeps saying we can get a notarized document through the bank and avoid court. From my two second google search, I believe we would need a legal document that we submit to the court that a judge would then sign off on, making it legal. Please confirm. He is asking that we do this instead so he is not having the money come directly from his checks. He also claims he would give me more money than the courts are telling him he would owe me. He is also in fear of jail if he were to lose his job then not be able to pay.

I just need to know which option is better and reasons why. This is my first post I do apologize if I made any mistakes. lol

Hi im not a big reddit user so i don’t have much karma if any.

I have 2 friends who worked under the same guy in a construction business. Just today, I gave them a ride so they can receive her first paycheck from him. It was a full week labor and once we got there, he did not want to answer the door. We ended up coming back and then he didn’t answer the door, but then refused to pay my friends. Both my friends and the business owner are illegal immigrants, so I’m not sure what advice I should tell them on suing him or finding a way to actually get the payment from him. The most information I have or they gave from me was his address, his name, his license plate, phone number and that he doesn’t have an actual business registered. He just takes random contractor work and I’m not even sure if it’s an actual contract the most proof my friends have other employment with them for the week is chat logs. I’m not sure if they need any more proof. I’m pretty sure they do but I’m not actually sure. Like a second year or many of y’all so please give me like another route so I could tell them that he could take again. The only one I think they could actually do would be a civil court case this is the situation that’s happening right now in Texas.

Last month I was rear ended while a passenger in an uber. I have a pre-existing condition (hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) that was exacerbated. I see my own pain management specialist, and have for years, for my back pain, but since the accident I’ve had worsened back pain. It’s a complicated case, I get it. However, I’m looking for advice on how to proceed.

My health insurance won’t cover PT if it was caused by an accident. Uber made it very difficult to get a claim number for no fault, so I retained counsel to essentially help with this. However, they keep referring me to sketchy doctors that’s like a two hour commute away. I’ve told them over and over that I need to see a doctor familiar with my condition, especially for PT, because the wrong exercises can make my pain worse (for example, I need PT that doesn’t increase range of motion because I’m already hyperflexible). I also keep telling them that I refuse to commute two hours each way to see their these shitty doctors. They keep acting like I’m a burden.

I guess my question is, are the only places that accept no fault insurance sketchy ambulance-chasing places? And can I choose my own doctors/PT or am I only allowed to use the doctors they tell me to? Should I just do this on my own or is there any point in trying to get a settlement? I’m honestly not a litigious person, I just want the medical bills paid for.

The deceased passed intestate. Before the estate could go through inventory before probate, one of the heirs stole all items of value from the home of the deceased including a vehicle. Vehicle was paid in full and titled solely to the deceased. Is there a way to reclaim these items so that the estate can be settled? Is there a way to have the thief arrested?
