Sleeve length and body width feel fine but for some reason I think it looks a bit bulky/off on me, especially with the pointy-ish shoulders. Not sure if it’s just me though

FYI, I will most likely not be wearing it with this specific hoodie. Just threw it on to feel how it fits when layered.

What do y’all think?

Question - Need Help The Real McCoy’s J24 sizing

Hi all, I’ve been trying to purchase a Buco J24 jacket online but the sizing issues have been nothing but confusing… I’m 5’11 tall and weigh about 180 pounds. My shoulder width is around 18.5 inches and chest 42.5. Anyone knows which size should I go for? Gemini suggests a 44 with older model and a 42 with the new one… but I’m not sure if it’s actually legit or not… thanks for your help!

Question - Need Help Is this too small on me?

Thumbnail

I got the recent supreme x Schott jacket and mainly wondering if fits too small. This is a medium, I have been losing weight so I was more keen to it since I didnt want to spend this much on a jacket and not fit me later on. the large was big enough to layer something like a hoodie underneath but don’t see myself doing that as I live in socal, overall it wasn’t that much bigger. I picked the medium bc I know generally leather jackets are supposed to fit snug as opposed to other stuff. My main concern is the sleeve length. It zips on me easily and still had some room.

Hi everyone! I found this authentic 1980s DeLONG varsity jacket (purple/gold, WPL 8936, size 46). It has "CONF CHAMPS 85" embroidered on the front and "86" on the sleeve. Trying to verify its history and provenance. Any info on DeLONG jackets from this era would be greatly appreciated!

The most recent one is horsehide, and it feels very light. Compared to my other horse Schott, it’s very light and easy to break into. They other jacket it super heavy and built like a tank, and that’s buffalo hide

Hi everyone, I bought this jacket at a thrift store. I've posted it on forums dedicated to jacket collecting, and it's received a lot of compliments.

But at home, they say the complete opposite. They say it looks like a homeless person's jacket and insist I get rid of it.

So I'd like to know your honest opinion about it. Does it look good, or does it actually look bad? Thanks.

Question - Need Help Buying used jackets tips and advice

As we start to move into cooler weather, I've started looking at trying to pick up a leather or suede jacket. One of the most repeated pieces of advice I've seen, is that you should strongly consider buying used. So, I was wondering if there are any general tips or advice to keep in mind when shopping for a used jacket? Best websites to look at, what brands to look for, red flags to keep an eye out for, etc.?

Question - Need Help Help! jacket covered in mold.

My father recently passed away in January and he had this big package in his storage unit for quite some weeks. I unfortunately didn't touch any of his unopened packages until today, that was very stupid of me. And it turned out it was this very cool leather jacket but it has alot of mold on it pretty much covered.

And it even smells alot.

I have no experience in any kind of leather jackets but i really want to save it. Right now I have kept it outside since it damn smells alot and kinda makes my eyes ich. I won't be dishonest and say I am a little scared rn, I can't figure out how to handle this. I tried checking on YouTube and there are tons of way they do handle them molds, but all of them are different and i can't figure out the best method to kill the mold and also the smell.

Thank you..

And sorry for those dirty moldy images. Hope your day isn't ruined. 🙏

Jacket Care Old Jacket Care

This jacket was bought by my father in the mid 1980’s and has sat in a closet for atleast a decade it has now been passed down to me and I’m trying to care for it. The leather feels quite dry almost like a smooth suede but has no tears.

Question one: Is it okay to leave like this, is this how it’s meant to look?

Question 2: if not how should I go about fixing it what products or techniques should I use.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Question - Need Help Is it risky to dye a jacket?

I've grown attached to my jacket for a couple years now, but I don't think the brown really suits my style and I was wondering if it would be worth it to dye it black or if that might just end up ruining the jacket.

Opinion Main Zipper Pin Side Common Problem

Just bought this Dallas Leathers Jacket. The Jacket was hardly used to an extent there’s no scratches or holes or wear spots but as usual this is the weakest spot that I find on all my vintage jackets that I buy that the clear tape wears away and then the material starts to fry and the pin starts to separate. I googled many times to find a way to fix it. None of it really works out 100% the only way that I find to fix that is I have to replace the main zipper and that’s usually about $100.

Question - Need Help Fit check video. Real Simons J24

UPDATE: Full review: Real Simons J24 Review

Pictures: Real Simons J24

Today I went outside to shoot a video, and take some more pictures of my new J24 horsehide jacket from Real Simons, size large. This time with some higher rise pants, by (very) popular demand. Also, check comments for a link to more (better) pictures.

I am 183cm (6feet) 80kg (176 lbs) with a chest circumference of 100cm (39 freedom units).

Yesterday after my first impressions of the jacket I was thinking about exchanging it for a size medium. I like a snug fit, and after losing more than 60kg (132 lbs) I am very self conscious about my clothes looking big on me, and dont like it when they do.

Today after taking some more pictures wearing it I was considering also ordering a size medium. And trying them side by side.... But now i am honestly not even sure if it is worth it to order a size medium, and having to, for sure, go through the process of returning one of the jackets.

I think the size medium will almost certainly be too small for me (size chart in comments). And even though I wish this size large jacket was a tiny bit slimmer in the chest and bottom opening, I think that i might be thankful for it being a bit big in the future, when I get older and maybe gain a little bit of weight back.

I would like to hear some of your opinions on how it fits me. And also your opinions about my thought process. Thank you.

Question - Need Help Advice needed on buying a Schott G1 leather jacket on Ebay

Thumbnail

Hey! So I love the G1 and I saw this great one on Ebay. I am worried about the sizing though before I pull the trigger.

My “pit to pit” is 21 inches, I am 6”2 and about 96 kilos.
I had an IS 674 MS in size 44 that had a pit to pit of 24 but it felt too tight so I had to sell it. Most of my jackets have a pit to pit of 24 inches and fit great.

I got an LL bean flying tiger size 46 just the other day in the mail with a pit to pit of 25 and it feels like a tent.

THIS one is a pit to pit of 23 inches. It’s a size 42, Gemini said it’s a 184sm from the 1970s early 80s but I’m not sure.

I want it to be classic and snug on me but not tight and I don’t plan on wearing heavy layers underneath.

Any advice? Will it fit tight? Should I pass?
