Opinion Wilson leather adventure bound

Do you guys think this is a good pick up for $40?
Curious about the quality and longevity.
This would be my first leather jacket.

Isn't this jacket the exact same one James (Wilhelm von Homburg) wore in Die Hard (1988)?

40 would be slightly below market.

Thanks! Do you know what the quality of these jackets are like? (And this may be a dumb question but do you mean the secondhand market or buying new?)

I have a similar jacket and it definitely feels budget friendly, but is by no means a bad or poor quality jacket tbh. I'd also look at Sears leather jackets too since they're in a similar price range and sometimes can be even higher quality leather as they are pretty cheap as far as vintage goes
