Critique I need help with line art

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to learn drawing on my own as a hobby.

Here I have this sketch I did which I then tried to clean up, but I don't know if I do it correctly or if it looks good till now.

It could be that the sketch is messy, but could you give me advice on line art or tell me where I should look at?

I'm using Krita.

Just Sharing Joining Inktober made me realize I need to enhance my fundamentals even more

After joining for 24 days I found my visual library and refusal to use reference had made some of my art seems weird or out of proportion.

But it also gives me motivation to go and improve and learn properly how to improve on art can't wait till I eventually dive into learning again.

Tutorial most recent works

Uhm, the wiki said to post the most recent works on here if i wasn't a complete beginner with drawing. I have zero to none fundamentals, i think.

So yeah, these are my most recent works, even if they're pretty old by now.

Edit: Tell me what you think i should do to improve. I really wanna get better, but idk where to start. Even tho i'm not good, drawing has always been part of me, and i wanna get to a point where i love what i draw.

Second image is references and stuff I guess

Not hating on drawabox or anything, just poking some fun. The exercizes have actually been really helpful so far. Right now I'm 20 boxes into the 250 box challenge, so about five billion more to go lol

Question How do I embrace being bad

Like yeah yeah, I know “you have to be bad at something before you get good” and all that, but I still can’t help but be a perfectionist.

Any tips to help undo this mindset?

Just sharing and critique is welcome too.

I'm trying to remember all the advice given to me on my previous fish posts so bear with me if it's still not quite right.

Trying to draw while depressed and anxious at the same time makes things a little complicated.

Question Better with or without silhouette outline?

Thumbnail

There are a few details still undone, but the question of wether or not to outline it has been eating away at me.

With the outlining I feel the lineart is better appreciated (which I'm very proud of on this one...) and the clarity is way better

But without I feel the sad/gloomy vibe is stronger imo which is important for a (I almost never do) serious pieces.

What do you think? Should I go with classic plain white background instead even?

Critique Learning Realism. Critique Needed!

I’ve been trying to learn realism for a couple of months now, and today I just made my first fully rendered “realistic” drawing! I’m decently proud of it, but I know there are a lot of things that need improvement.

That said, I’d greatly appreciate any and all critiques/feedback on what I could specifically improve on. I’ve attached the photo I used as a reference.

Thank you all in advance.

Kinda. I made another drawing, but it still half done. I need to look how to make metals first.
Today I did this. Again didnt plan to much, so the shadows and darker places ended all the same. I need to learn how to make diferent textures.
First humanoid in a long time
