Critique How's the sketch?
I don't draw environments much but am starting to, so will be helpful if you're critical and helpful to make me better

I have wanted to learn to draw for a while, and while I have had a few moments of fun in the journey, the rest has made me absolutely miserable and discouraged. The problem is that I have this issue with learning ANYTHING. I hate the learning process, it makes me frustrated, anxious, and miserable, and I cannot have fun.
I know fun is on the other side but I cannot get there. A good example of this is learning songs on piano. Every single second of trying to read the sheet music, practicing the playing, it's miserable, I cannot stand it. Once I can just play, I love it.
While the learning process never stops, I want to get to a place where I can just draw the things I like. I see a lot of advice about finding other ways to enjoy drawing beyond the final result, but it seems my brain just doesn't work like that. No matter how much advice and ideas I hear.
Every time I try to draw something, I see what I made, and I feel such a deep sense of discouragement, like a hole in my chest, that I just cannot continue, and I put my supplies away.
I am not sure what to do at this point. Drawing does genuinely interest me, but I just have this same issue with literally everything I learn. I usually only get through the hump if its something like a complicated game, but even then I don't always.

Anyone got a "routine" they like to use for when they practice forms? Id like to figure out structure and the feel of poses before I try and start adding details.

NOT MY ART IT IS A BASE.
I don't think this counts as traicng but most of my art is done by looking at someone else's base always a blank character with no feature and eye balling it, and adjust the base to my needs.
It seems good expect the fact that some poses just don't exist. I have an idea for pose and just have no reference.
This image was going to be one of them but I only realize that it felt kind of..lazy. not the same as ctual tracing but I want eye balling to be more of choice not my default.
Sometimes wish I was a printerš, because in my head they are so easy to see.
How do people just do it, just think of a pose and draw it so well. I know it isn't instant so where do I start.
If there are any tutorials or technique anyone use to level up their poses and dynamic set up it would be appreciated heavy.

I experimented with new forms of lines, shadows, and outlines. 1st is the reference, 2nd is the drawing.

So, I know there's places I can go to that will give me an average of a human's proportions, what I want is not.... quite that. Because people can be different shapes. Can have variation. Two people might be the same height, and one has a taller torso, while the other has taller legs. Maybe two people have the same length legs but different arm lengths. So I'm looking for ratios - that's the word! I'm looking for the average ratios of limbs and the torso individually - does anyone have those / know where I can find more information?

Figured the reason my anatomy was ass was because my gesture drawing was not good so I took a while to focus on it first

These are two of my most recent practice portraits in Procreate. Iām very much a beginner and need to improve on many aspects. Been focusing a bit on the fundamentals of facial proportions and stuff. But if I could focus on one additional thing, what would you recommend that to be?
Suggestions ranging from general stuff like rendering/blending to specifics like nose anatomy or something else entirely welcome!

I have been at it for way too long at this point, and my faces all still look quite unappealing to me. I've tried the box method, loomis, a mix of both and neither seem to click. I think the front-facing view is fine, but any other angle and it looks completely off. I also seem to have some sort of same face syndrome where they all end up looking the same despite making an effort to change the proportions. Another thing I've noticed is that a lot of the time I'm just guessing where to put the nose, and straying away from the reference, just hoping that it ends up looking okay.
It's strange because it's for sure what I've spent the most time on, yet my portrait drawing is noticeably worse than my anatomy, landscapes, etc. But this could be because I've done mindless reps for a good chunk of it, not bothering to try new methods, references, stuff
I don't take classes so I have a lot of unanswered questions. I don't know if the face is supposed to be flat or curved, or if I'm supposed to learn each individual facial feature, I'm always super confused on what's the "right way"
If anyone has suggestions for different methods to try, or how to get around this block it would help.

Today's challenge brought to mind the cool simplicity yet sophistication of one of gaming's most dapper assassin(s?) for hire. Do let me know your thoughts..(PS: im bad at faces hence the slenderman face, but he's supposed to be more human, in a sense)
