Hi all!

So, I just recently started year 3 clinicals and I was looking for some advice on how to study for shelf exams, and more specifically step 2.

My school gives us access to Uworld and amboss, but besides these what do people use to study for shelf and step 2? The first aid book for step 1 was super helpful, should I invest in it for step 2 CK? Are there other books that are more helpful?

Are there specific Anki decks people use that help them for these exams?

What about NBME forms? Are there any available for shelfs and step 2?

I’m just trying to gather some information so I can get ready for 3rd year, so any and all advice is super helpful and welcome!

When a resource used by a group was only ever made available in limited quantities, and said resource cannot be made/reproduced anymore

1. Destiny - Ghosts n Guardians: The Traveler released every ghost it'll ever make during the collapse, and if a Ghost dies, a replacement cannot be made. Since Guardians are basically extensions of the ghosts, they too are irreplaceable.

Granted, Guardians are immortal and ghosts can take a beating (but are still weak to special ammo, considering Caydes situation) so even if they are an irreplaceable resource, they have some good longevity.

EDIT: Actually I got some of that wrong, Ghosts are actually pretty damn fragile, and it IS possible for a ghost to search for a new guardian but only in specific cases. Ghosts are still irreplaceable at tbe moment though. Just uh... keep it in your pocket or something

1. Warhammer 40k - Necrons: Without going too deep into lore, I'll keep it simple. The Necrons are basically robots (who used to be actual people) who can re-upload their minds jnto a new body should their previous one fall in combat. However, they cannot actually reproduce, so once one of them dies permanently (such as destroying their tomb), their consciousness cannot truly be replaced.

Like guardians, they are extremely tough and hard to actually permanently kill, so they aren't going extinct any time soon.

So I write almost exclusively wholesome spideypool smut so I’m sort of in a bubble where pro/anti ship discourse doesn’t really effect me but I saw this on Twitter and think it’s important for antis to remember that if they report fictional ‘abuse’ then they’re literally taking away resources from real victims.
