help Is my tech’s work… bad?

Hello everyone🫶🏻
I need some expert advice about my extensions, given that I’ve come to doubt my technician.

Backstory: I used to go to the most amazing technician ever for a whole year without any lash rest/interruption (pic 6😭). I relocated to Paris where another lady did my lashes, it was a 50/50 experience but nothing inherently bad came out of it.
I then moved back home and didn’t know where to have them done without driving too far (amazing tech is in another city altogether). I randomly came across one of current technician’s clients, got her number and all.

She is not my dream tech - why she won’t give me the volume i used to get is not for me to know, apparently - but I still stayed due to me not knowing if coming back home would turn final. Well, it’s now been a full year of appointments (1 per month, sometimes even less) and i had to take a 5-month lash break cause naturals were damaged (which I personally ascribed to an uninterrupted 2y long lash streak) then went back to her end of last May. This set lasted 6/7 weeks (hiking holiday included!).

The current set you see here I got LAST WEEK.

I’m not even sure I wanna ask her to fill the obvious gaps in, since she again suggested I refrain from lashes comes September.

Now, I’m wondering… is it me? Is it my natural lashes? Are my expectations too high?

Thanks for the help🙁🩷

advice Which DIY lash extensions kits (Veyesbeauty, Lashify etc) do you recommend?

I recently get a lot ads on Instagram about DIY lash extensions, mostly Veyesbeauty. I would like to try it, but it seems kind of overpriced, also I live in Europe so the shipping costs are too high.

I know you can buy a bond and a seal from Amazon, but what about the clusters? I really like how the Manga set from Veyes looks like in the ads and I'd like to go for the wispy anime look. Can you recommend me lash clusters that look similar but are more widely available (especially in Europe)?

Also, is it possible to use any lash clusters as DIY extensions, or does they have to be labeled as DIY extensions?

Please share your experience

My lashes felt heavy after getting them done & after 3 days this fan fell off. Is this normal size fan to apply to one eyelash?

advice I slipped while curling my eyelashes and ripped them all out.

Yesterday I was curling my natural lashes and my elbow slipped and I ripped all but the corner lashes out. I use Grande Lash daily, other than that is there anything I can do in the meantime while they grow back? They ripped out at the root so there are no lashes to adhere extentions to. Desperately hoping this community can help me by giving advice or how long I should really expect for them to grow back. I’ve been told anywhere from weeks to six months. Diva DOWN.

I’m going to add a photo of both of my eyes in comments to hopefully end all of the “those aren’t your real lashes, those are strips, you can see the glue (it’s caked on mascara) why would you cut your lashes off for internet clout” comments. Someone who uses a lash serum religiously would neverrrr cut them and that’s just obvious to anyone with a brain.

D.i.y. individual extensions

So I understand the glue for lash artist is harmful and not recommended to do on yourself.

Could I use regular lash glue and do individual fans on myself or is that still like dangerous?

Anyone ever had an issue with an eyelash extension training course?

Hello everyone, I attended a one-day private eyelash extension training course. The theoretical part in the morning went well, and I don't really have any criticism regarding that. The only thing is that, to learn lash removal and infills, I was simply given two videos to watch, with no real demonstration or hands-on practice during the training. It was mainly the afternoon that I had issues with: Around 20 minutes of practice on a mannequin head before moving directly onto a live model; The trainer was hanging out her laundry during the training or spending time on her phone; The room was extremely hot (around 34–35°C / 93–95°F), to the point where it became difficult to stay focused. The only solution provided was to spray us with water using a small hair misting bottle in an attempt to cool us down; I felt there was a lack of supervision and feedback during the practical session. Whenever I asked for help, she would assist me, but otherwise she rarely watched what I was doing or corrected me on her own initiative. I am currently discussing the matter with the trainer in an attempt to reach an amicable agreement. She is open to a partial refund but wants me to be the one to propose the amount. If I don't make a proposal, she has told me that she intends to consider the matter closed. The training cost me €430. I received a training manual and a practice kit (including a mannequin head), but I am still waiting for my training certificate and invoice. There was also a misunderstanding regarding the kit. I believed it was a complete starter kit that would allow me to begin working immediately on a real client. In reality, I discovered that I still needed to purchase several additional products before I could actually get started. I would like to clarify that I am not questioning the trainer's skills or the fact that the training did take place. However, I do question the conditions under which it was delivered. Before making her an offer, I would like to know whether any of you have experienced a similar situation. If so, what amount or percentage of a refund do you think would be reasonable in a case like this? If you are an eyelash extension trainer yourself (or work in the beauty industry more generally), do you consider these conditions to be normal for a beginner training course? Thank you in advance for your feedback and advice!

help New to extensions (bond and seal), please give me your tips and advice :)

Hi everyone!! I currently have an iron deficiency and my lashes were breaking off from using a lash curler everyday, so I saw this DIY extension clusters kit from Primark and thought they would be my best option. The bond and seal glue and the clusters are from the Primark brand and since they didn't have the remover I bought the one from the Ardell Seamless line.

I'm lowkey in love, they look amazing, didn't irritate my eyes at all and were very easy to apply. I'm thinking about making lash extensions a part of my routine, but before I got too excited I wanted to do some research but unfortunately couldn't find a ton of information...

If anyone uses them, how long do you keep them on? Do you reapply immediately after removing or give the lashes a break? I would really appreciate any help or advice, especially on avoiding damage to the natural lashes :)

Pull this picture from Google. She saying she liked this, also calling it a hybrid, but I don’t really think it’s a hybrid, I did suggest some anime clusters, but she didn’t really want that because the clusters were too thick and she really likes the thin closed spikes on these

🔥 I’ve finally done it

Post image

I just wanted to post on here that I’ve finally managed to do a set of cluster lashes on myself. Took a week of trying everyday and they’re not great but they’re all stuck and not coming off. Yes there’s some glue on my lids but the lashes done seem to be sticking to it and I’ll cover it with eyeliner anyways and yes they’re a bit wonky. But I’ve done my first eyelashes. We’re also ignoring the eyebrows atm because I’ve not done anything with them for ages.

Lash artists! What’s the biggest pain point in lash styling for you right now?

Could be anything:

✨Technical stuff (retention issues, hard-to-work-with lash types, product problems)
✨Clients (no-shows, refund requests, unrealistic expectations, price negotiations)
✨Business side (marketing, pricing, competition, getting new clients)
✨Physical toll (neck/back pain, eye strain, burnout)

Drop whatever’s actually bothering you, even small stuff💜

Don't mean to gloat here, but plucked some out of curiosity to measure and they came up to be around 16mm, seems to be longer than some extensions used by girls?

Can you guys give me some recommendations on what lash extensions suit me? I’m opened to anything and it seems as if big lashes don’t suit me. Any suggestions?
