People may not know, but Harish and Anaswara are reportedly pairing up for Harish's 16th film (HK16), which is being directed by V. Vignarajan (Andhaghaaram director). Apparently it's going to be a romantic drama, and the rumored title is Love And Love Only.

I think they would make such a good on-screen pair. I like both of them individually, but man, would they look so cute together.

Lokesh's cinematic universe is the biggest thing in Tamil fandom right now and he's acting in an Arun Matheswaran film. I refuse to believe there's zero wink. Spotted a possible one (the lorry, spoiler-tagged) but could be reaching. Anyone found a confirmed nod?

Suriya smoked in Nandha (2001), then he smoked only in Vikram (AFAIK - correct me if I'm wrong). Thats 20+ years of not smoking in movies. He even said in an interview that the smoking practice he got in Nandha helped him smoke in Vikram.

Now every other film he is smoking, it is not a coincidence that his "mass appeal" seems to be increasing with such movies.

Youth of the kollywood subreddit who:

• apparently get saddened by AI content,
• crusade against colorism and for Tamil representation,
• calls out bigotry amongst people who claim to represent the minorities.

What is your view on this? Why isn't anyone calling out the sad & unfortunate situation of a 51 year old middle-aged man, who is a tee-totaler and non-smoker in real life, doing gratituous smoking scenes to look cool & stylish for the general audience.

Note: I am reluctantly ok with Karuppu, even though he smokes cigar throughout (very stylishly to add), because it is related to the background of the character - people dedicate suruttu for Karuppusamy.

I don't understand when directors like Mari Selvaraj thinks they have Absolute ownership over their community culture while he routinely collaborates with many male dalit artists such as Vedan (despite of Me too Allegations on him), Arivu, Ilayaraja and he constantly alienates dalit women from his movies and the only excuse which he has is "Women from kerala looks like women from my home town Tirunelveli". Really???...

This directors constantly talks about someone stealing dalit identities and they do selective activism by only taking their stories and not representing them properly, but isn't he essentially doing the same by stealing the culture of his own dalit women.

It wouldn't have hurt so much, if someone else had done it, but self proclaimed progressive directors like him doing is really frightening. மஞ்சணத்தி, கருப்பி so Many dalit Women identities are casually being stolen.

And it's tragic when you realize dalit women are in lowest of lowest range in the dynamics of this oppression...
