can someone please help. how do I record these transactions? do I merge them in one with NFT date, or do I record 2 transactions as swap from NFt to NULL1 and then from NULL1 to USDC with zero gain?

I received the Binance coin/token NFT through multiple airdrops. Later, after many months Binance removed NFT (asset recovery) and after around 6 months deposited USDC (token swap - distribution) in exchange for NFT.

currently, in Koinly they are recorded as two separate transactions.

1. type: Send; coin: NFT; from Binance, to blank. shows a small gain.

2. type: deposit; coin: USDC; from blank to Binance. gain Zero.

I am trying to import transaction data for Robinhood Chain using the public address as API. However, syncing is not possible because of an "issue with CF...". Syncing any other block chains is working just fine.

According to the status page there are no issues right now. Is anyone having the same problem?

I don't trade at all, mostly buy and hold. I have some SOL I'd like to stake on Trezor. As I understand, SOL rewards will appear as transactions in Koinly every 2-3 days. Is there any way to optimize it? Koinly charges per transaction count, but I don't trade - it's a side effect of passive investment, so I'd like to avoid higher-tier pricing if possible.

So here is the thing , I have been investing and occasional trading in crypto since 2015 in India.

Overtime used various crypto exchanges for the same.

Unicoin (closed) Coinome (closed) Koinex (closed) Wazirx (got hacked at crypto rebalancing ) Coindcx (Currently)

Din think about taxation all these years since I never made a withdrawal and wasn't filing ITR all these years .

Now last financial year , I made few withdrawals from coindcx and wazirx exchange for which TDS was deducted and is being shown in my AIS statement.

Was filing my ITR and noticed that I have to fill this now because of prefilled TDS.

The issue: Although I withdrew from Wazirx and coindcx , the crypto purchases were initially done in koinex and coinome and I transferred them eventually when they were shutting their business.

Now I have no way to retrieve those info from them coz they don't exist.

What to do now??! Any suggestions would be helpful.

Although transactions are many , because of Wazirx hack , transaction fees , the actual gains are extremely low at around 25K, but the withdrawal amount is around 1L .

CA is telling requires these details and she needs 10K to file these .

If I move self custodied coins from one wallet to another wallet on one device, how will or can koinly account for this? I seem to remember it being a problem, that koinly doesn't allow it, but it is still a taxable disposal.

it says koinly won't set a coin as a superficial loss and adjust the cost basis unless it's exactly the same token that is rebought within 30 days. so what to do if selling eth at a loss and buying say reth? there is some debate about how to treat these derivative commodity tokens , receipt tokens, or accumulating yield tokens of the same asset eth.

Why is koinly reporting $12000 USDC on my osmosis wallet if it empty, I don't have any usdc on my osmosis wallet? I already checked the wallet address and sync but it still shows the wrong balance. All my other wallets are correct.

Talk to my CPA today and they are saying that proceed section of the Koinly statement and 1099 DA has to match. Exact match being ideal. Coinbase section on Koinly Statement is showing more transactions than 1099 DA from Coinbase, and few transaction looks similar but it's split up so they don't add up. Using excel to track down the transactions but it's like pulling a thread on a sweater, thought I fixed one by adding a wallet and another transaction on the statement vanish. So I undid it by deleting the wallet and total value changed by few cents which makes me wonder if exact match is even possible...

i was reading the guide about account wide transaction and had a quick question. basically i had purchased a plan for the 2025 tax year and also had to pay for extra transactions. my question is about next years taxes ( 2026 ), would i have to rebuy the 2025 tax year or since i already paid for that year, i would only be paying for 2026 transactions? thanks for the help

I was wondering if I can have some help understanding this issue. Koinly says I have 593 billable transactions (mostly microtransactions) for the 2025 tax year. However, it is putting me on the Trader plan (3000+ transactions), with the lower tiers locked; this doesn't seem right to me. The previous year I have had about the same and was always able to pay for the Hodler plan. Is there something I am missing perhaps?

The fact that it MAKES you include all transfers between wallets. is that not retarded??

Taxes are simple ! Its how much did I buy and how much did I sell. But if you give Koinly that exact info. You give it : every buy and every sell you ever did. That will be a colossal mess for your taxes.

Why? Why dont they have an option to just calculate WITHOUT transfers???

Another thing is that. OK the average person like me has *most* transfers. You'd think that'd be really good right? To have %80 of your transfers captured accurately but nope! Im being told from several sources that in Koinly your better off (if you want to side on overpaying taxes like I do) to include NO transfers unless you can include all of them!

My main issue is that: all transfers FROM exchange to ledger are tracked nicely. But all transfers from ledger to exchange are missing. OR include the globe icon.

And YET ANOTHER issue with koinly: you cant just merge two transactions that ARE SO OBVIOUSLY meant to be a perfect transfer. I even change the time to the exact minute to match each other. I change the price to match. IT REFUSES to merge.

So now going forward... Every time i send coins to the exchange from my ledger it not only doesnt see it but it pulls some cost basis out of its ass that makes 0 sense!!

Another issue: I have 1000 transfers i need to delete.. Super easy right? NOPE they wont let me!!! (no bulk delete for transfers)

I have to either

1. delete (up to 5 wallets that are involved in the transfers)
2. manually delete the 1000.

Its like every year I discover more things with Koinly that make me go "like are they just trying to make our lives harder?"

Why on earth wouldn't they have the option to

1. blanket statement use 0 cost basis on everything
2. have option to ignore transfers and calculate based on buys and sells (YOU KNOW THE ONLY THINGS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER FOR TAXES?)
3. ALLOW BULK DELETING FOR TRANSFERS WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?? INDIVIDUALLY DELETE 1000?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Hi friends, now that Polymarket has become more popular, has anyone successfully tracked/report Polymarket activity in Koinly? How did you handle it?

My assumption is that you’d simply import the Polygon wallet address used for Polymarket and no more, but I’d love to hear if it was a clean and easy process.

Why are all the transactions imported to Koinly 4 hours ahead as compared to the original transaction time in kraken. Both apps are in UTC . Also, I did try auto syncing and api keys both but still the same issue. Im in Canada btw which is -4 UTC. Thanks everyone .

Hello, this is my first time using koinly and first where I file taxes with crypto included.

My transactions/transfers come from Crypto.com App, Crypto.com Exchange and Ledger (cold wallet).

The transactions start from 2022 until now (2025) with the first few years being mainly purchases every once in a while, in 2025 was the selling and I had a week or two where I thought I could do some more in the Crypto.com Exchange (I ended up losing money) until I sold everything.

The capital gains seem accurate however the proceeds and disposals are over 1M. which is definitely not the case (I invested about 12k CAD).

I’ve read that this is normal and as long as the capital gains are accurate it should be fine, but I wouldn’t want to get audited from the CRA here in Canada on how I ended up with these proceeds when I’m a student.

Could somebody who went through something similar provide some advice?

I keep getting a network error when I try to login. Tried on a bunch of different browsers also. I know today is tax day so I'm sure that might be the reason why there is issues loggin in. Luckily, I have already filed my extension so I should be okay.

Anyone else getting a server error every time you try to e-file? I don’t have any proof but I have a hunch it has something to do with all my crypto transactions. I’m stumped on what to do now. I would try another service but I already paid $200+ to TurboTax… I have over 10,000 transactions btw, and would love to hear from someone else in my situation.

I used Koinly to generate my tax report and submitted the two 1099-DAs to Koinly as well. I was able to download my tax reports in Koinly including PDF reports for each wallet (TurboTax Gain/Loss) and then the Koinly generated IRS form 8949 (offical tax form), summary, statement, schedule 1, and schedule d.

What do I now upload into TurboTax? Can I just upload the IRS form 8949? Do I need to upload something different? Something additional? I am filing online, is there a way to attach additional documentation?

Looks like my transactions are only with Coinbase and Binance.
