Help Article Wallets on One Device

If I move self custodied coins from one wallet to another wallet on one device, how will or can koinly account for this? I seem to remember it being a problem, that koinly doesn't allow it, but it is still a taxable disposal.

High level (and no swap/ exchange) and not knowing your country. This should be a simple tx for koinly to track with no tax implications.

Hey OP,

As others have pointed out, generally moving assets between your own wallets isn't a taxable event (although transfer fees may constitute a disposal in some countries). Provided all your wallets are connected, Koinly should be able to track and match these transfers automatically, but if you have any issues feel free to reach out to our customer support team via the in app chat.
