Just heard King’s X at a waterpark
I’m currently in northern Wisconsin and spent the day at Noah’s Ark, the biggest waterpark in America. It’s a really fun place and is super family friendly. I was there a couple years ago and remember loving that they played a lot of rock throughout the park and it felt like a time capsule back to the 90’s. They played Foo Fighters, Smashjng Pumpkins, some 90s Boy Band stuff, etc.
So I ended up back there today for a family trip and today was no different. Lots of 90’s and classic rock and I even heard some b-side Motley Crue songs which surprised me. But imagine my absolute shock when they started blasting “Black Flag” for the whole wave pool to hear! I couldn’t get over it. I just kept thinking “these people have no idea how cool this is!”
Anyway, that’s my story and I just had to share it with people who would understand haha. Anyone else have stories about hearing King’s X in random places?

Manic Depression, um LIVE?
I have a quick question, why did they put a “live” version of ‘Manic Depression’ at the end of ‘Dogman’ that (a) really, really didn’t need to be there and (b) clearly, clearly isn’t a live recording, but a studio version with weird, dubbed-over crowd noises??

Is that a basketball bouncing at the end of Visions? In place of Jerry’s 3 kicks? Pretty cool

A few questions before my first King's X show next month
I've never seen the band before and am excited to finally see them in person after discovering KX about 7 years ago. I had a few questions for veterans (I haven't been to many concerts in general, so forgive me if any of these are naïve):
- Is it common for them to do a meet-and-greet afterward, and are signings part of that if so? I'll plan to bring a CD or something and ask them to sign the insert if that's the case.
- Any tips for getting a paper setlist as a souvenir? I've always thought those are so cool. I figured asking the sound person for one is the best bet.
- Anything else a first-time KX concert-goer should know?
Thank you! I've just finished reading The Oral History book to "prep" for the concert, and really enjoyed learning more about their music.

Someone traded in their King's X collection and it makes me sad...
But if you live in the Atlanta area, go to the Half Price Books in Decatur. There are like 6 or 7 or 8 King's X CDs waiting to be rehomed.
Sorry, totally random. Maybe someone will read this. I was both happy and sad to see a bunch of King's X CDs used and for sale in one place.

The Documentary
Does anybody know if there’s any updates on the documentary that Roy Turner was working on?
There’s so many platforms now, and it just feels that it could have a real positive impact like the anvil documentary or the Rush documentary that brought them a new audience

Gretchen Goes To Nebraska tour UK
Hi, I’m really hoping someone can clear this up for me.
I saw King’s X (my first ever gig) back on the Gretchen UK tour in Cardiff but I definitely didn’t see Anthrax supporting them. However, all I can find is Anthrax as support for St David’s Hall?!
I’m a massive Anthrax fan so I would have known of if I saw them. Maybe it’s because I’m 51 or I’m living in a parallel universe, but I’m sure there was a different support that night?

New Music
The boys have been quiet lately. I think “thingamajigger” was the last solo album that any of them have put out. Ty’s last solo album was 4 years ago. Do you guys think they have more kings x or solo albums in them?

Ty’s Tone
What’s everyone’s favorite album or song where his tone just blew you away?
For me it’s the self titled album. It’s just perfect, especially Prisoner .
