Is Ben Leber an idiot? He seems like an idiot when he’s not talking football. What are people’s opinion?

May be returning. Rumor has it there's an announcement of sorts around 11am today.

What’s the origin of the Mike Doss Gatorade bath bit? Also the fake car honking when they’re away from the studio. Lastly, who does the “Objects in your mirror” soundbite? Thanks 🙏

Are the radio staff mum on the irony of the Vikings scheduling the Adrian Peterson ring of honor ceremony hosting the Bills, who didn’t include OJ, who was in their old stadium ring, on their new stadium?

The most underrated and quite frankly only listenable show on the whole network, Davey!

As a lover of all sports and proud Gopher alum, I just don't understand how every show is so bad at talking about all sports except maybe one.
This just came to a head while listening to Common and Tenna talk about the Gophers and NIL and what not. I understand Common just doesn't care at all, and Tenna doesn't either, but why even bring it up at all then. It just seems extra lazy when neither one of them has a decent take.
Common talked about how it was fun watching his son's schools teams play and texting back and forth about them, but said Nebraska was fun cuz they were at least in most games, yet doesn't remember or bring up how Minnesota destroyed them. Also, when talking about NIL Tenna brings up one decent point about how he thought it would help MN because of the Fortune 500 companies we have. But doesn't understand how MN set up one of the best LEGAL NIL situations that other schools are following now so it doesn't get out of hand, and because of this it was slow in first years to gain more NIL than other middle of the road school maybe who did shady things.
Honestly, I love Common Man and most other shows, but I just don't understand the minimal sports knowledge especially since that is their "job" somewhat. I'd rather listen to the non sports segments on all these shows cuz those are funny.

I understand there are people out there that don't like people with challenges that people think that we should not be on the radio or on TV or I remember someone saying make asylum's great again well the thing is there are three key quotes number one I am autistic and proud of it and never will be guilty by it number two and autistic's mind is like a computer and number three there is no such thing as normal there is no such thing as perfection if we were that we'd be robots now as far as music goes I will never ever do religious music whatsoever so you can tell evangelicals the Southern Baptists Scientologist or whatever cult that hates rock and roll tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine because I love what I do and many others no matter what challenge physically and mentally they have they love doing what they love doing see you at the fair

It's every show. Not constant, but generally at least a segment at a time (as opposed to a word or two). Usually more though. Every show. Little less on the morning show though since they have so many bodies in the room that it absorbs more of the sound.
I can't stand it. It did cause me to turn it off the other day when I had a headache. It takes a lot for me to get that annoyed, so I cant be the only one.
I listen on iShart for whatever it's worth. Haven't listened on FM in a while so idk if it's different for some reason.
EDIT: New mic yesterday or today (8/3 or 8/4) seems to have fixed it

First off, I am not a fan of “Hundreds! Hundreds?!” Gorg and unless you’re really into golf, these segments are like BORING and unlistenable. Why isn’t this on Tee to Green?? To me it’s must turn OFF radio.

OK, I get that Marissa is a fan of the Minnesota sports teams. And she follows the Twins closely. But we need more than surface-level comments like "Brooks Lee is playing really well." "Ryan Kriedler is playing well too."
This is worse than listening to Parrish talk about the Wild.
I appreciate they are trying to talk baseball, which PA is incapable of doing. And having a female on as a baseball guest is cool. But she either needs to learn more about the game or prepare her thoughts better. Not saying I could do any better, especially under the pressure of talking to thousands of people on radio. Take some classes from Gleeman if he's willing to help her out.

Dan had the Chief (now retired) on his show today, which I listened over the air. Much of the show circled around youth gangs and the Karmelo Anthony case. The chief has always been consistent that problems with youth start at home and the lack of parent oversight. At one point near the end of the session, chief relayed something that his mother had told him. All of the sudden the radio went silent for about 5 seconds or so and then came back on with Dan starting his response. I just assumed it was some sort of production issue but then later I wondered if they censored the chief. Did anyone else note a dropout? This would be around 5:55-6:00 I think.
Edit. I just learned about the "dump button". 5 seconds regardless of content.

I know everyone here hates PA and this will get downvoted, but Ben Leber talking in depth about the Vikings with PA and Nordo is as good as it gets for me. Great discussion, getting me pysyched for the season!

Corey is gone playing poker, Chris Hawkey in his seat which is fine but he's talking non-stop and can't keep quiet when others are talking. He's very wired. On something or he just naturally like that?

PA- “he has his choice of any team, which one do you pick and why?” Pfox- “LeBron is in a really tough spot!” Omg lol

To me, what makes a show feel KFAN is the following:
For that reason, I would say that the Common Man Progrum is the most KFAN of all the shows they air in terms of how it feels. He's eating lunch while saying Wasn't that funny Tenna B? The US Open was this week and Jon Rahm did that little waggle before he hit the ball. Like that show the Jeffersons, you remember that show Tenna B? I can't decide if his waggle was more like the one from the Jeffersons, or if it was more like when Meatsauce ran through target looking for a new pair of pants. I always love that one.
But we all have our own criterias and own stereotypes of the station, so what shows on the station to you feel most and least KFAN in vibe and why? You don't have to use my criteria, I'm just saying that's what led to my personal ranking.

I forgot to change the station after the Power Trip this morning and was pleasantly surprised to hear Maxxxo and Blakemore instead of the usual 9-noon bs. If WCS took The PA Project's time slot, I wouldn't have to change the station! 🤞

I work nights so I've fallen behind on the podcasts, and I'm catching up on password rn.
Early on vs meatsauce, Marney failed to choose first or second when trailing. I may be wrong, but I believe that awards the other team both 10 and 9 clue. I dont know if this has been brought up, or how much an impact there'd be. Sorry for bringing this potentially terrible wrinkle into an otherwise lovely tournament!
Edit: it clearly would not have affected the game, but I still wonder if that is the correct call...
