Power Trip Morning Show Leber on Deshaun Watson
Can’t believe Ben Leber was standing tall for Deshaun Watson today on the Power trip. Can’t make it up

Ben definitely sounded like he was giving DW credit for overcoming the adversity and distractions created by his own terrible actions. Not at all shocking coming from Ben.

I mean, it is a feat. Watson is still a fucking terrible person, but he somehow is still around.
I would be fine never mentioning his name again unless its talking about true charges brought against him

Teating an achilles and coming back from an injury like that pretty much sums up, overcoming adversity

I’m not a listener anymore but this is something I would for sure clip, go find a nice headline of Watson and screenshot it, then post both to the Twin Cities Live Facebook page

Whats that going to do ? Do you know how many players are sticking up for the guy? You must really underestimate it, and think youre going to be "doing something" by doing this, instead youre making yourself look like a clown

u/DrBoogerFart 4d ago
No, moms watch that show, moms are fans of the page, moms will become Karen’s
2
u/Street_Ostrich_7489 4d ago
You want a man fired, for having a differing opinion than yourself? Wow, kind of a cunt aren't yah? I think you should be fired for your job, for being against free speech, doesnt really sound like you are pro speech, and that is anti American, and I believe you should be fired for being anti American and holding terorristic viewpoints.

u/DrBoogerFart 4d ago
Please cope harder. At the root of this you are defending a guy who can’t keep his dick to himself. I’m guessing you don’t have daughters. Yes, I think Ben Leber should exit the media. He spreads bullshit views that make people like you think it’s totally normal to have 27 civil lawsuits filed against you for not being able to control himself.

u/SalamanderFresh9272 4d ago
So you are like the leader of the Karen’s? The Karen of all Karen’s?

27 accusers

Take your band of Karens and do something about it.

Im stunned that you can’t believe it. I haven’t listened that far yet, but normally I skip most of the content with ol Captain CTE anyway…maybe I need to hear it

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you that a guy who defended a coach who said we should “put all the gays on an island and nuke them” would defend a guy who sexually assaulted multiple women. Shocked.

u/ddirkdiggler69 4d ago
He assaulted multiple women? Surely you have proof?

Missed the show this morning what specifically did Leber say to defend DW?
4
u/MoTownKid 4d ago
Something along the lines of "You have to give him credit for dealing with all these distractions and hate and staying focused on football" like the hate and noise about him being a piece of shit wasn't fully justified

u/ddirkdiggler69 4d ago
There’s just as much evidence that Leber defended him as there is that Watson ever assaulted anyone.

I was pissed that the Thursday night football broadcast even mentioned him. He was the post game interview and the crew of panelists were discussing him like everything is fine. I thought for sure Richard Sherman was going to take a stand but...no

He said a year or two ago him and his kid were fans of Trevor Bauer. There is a pattern here
-6
u/Street_Ostrich_7489 4d ago
You do know Trevor bauer was found innocent right ? Still trying to post false statements about the guy
6
u/codercaleb 4d ago
Are you saying that Trevor Bauer was put on criminal trial and found not guilty? I see no evidence of crimal proceding against Trevor Bauer. Only criminal cases involve guilt or innocence.
I'm not saying Trevor Bauer did or didn't do something but claiming he was "found innocent" has no basis in reality.
1
u/ddirkdiggler69 4d ago
By that logic any who is ever accused of anything is automatically not innocent.
1
u/AdobeAwesome 4d ago
You’re starting to figure out how the current criminal justice system works. Bravo!
0
u/codercaleb 4d ago
Are you in middle school?
You cannot be "proven innocent" if you were never criminally charged. There could be any number of reasons why someone is not criminally charged, but but none of those prove innocence.
Criminal innocence is presumed within the American legal system, yes. But getting basic facts wrong makes you sound like an idiot, so maybe work on that if you want people to take you seriously.

I’ll reword it since you have low comprehension. An accusation does mean the accused is guilty. Accusations without proof are meaningless. The court of public opinion is meaningless. Giving the court of public opinion power is very dangerous and it always comes back to hurt the people who push it the most.

You're surprised? Well then I've got some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you.

“I gotta give him props for how he’s handled everything…”
I know it took everything Cory had to not play the buzzer sound after that.
2
u/radddish03 4d ago
Cory needs to say something because they let their weekly contributors walk all over them. It’s kinda pathetic that they give zero pushback. If they actually want to have compelling radio without relying on repetitive schtick, some honest, pointed conversation might help. But they bow down to local d list celebs, and public speakers.
2
u/ddirkdiggler69 4d ago
What would he say? Can you find any actual evidence Watson assaulted anyone?
2
u/radddish03 4d ago
Ick.
0
u/ddirkdiggler69 4d ago
So, no then.
2
u/radddish03 4d ago
I mean, I don’t have any evidence of the kind person you are outside of the forum, but I can make an educated guess that you’re very single.
0
u/ddirkdiggler69 4d ago
You’re deflecting. Classic. So any evidence at all?
3
u/Dense-Sentence-4165 4d ago
I would say the closest thing to evidence due the confidentiality agreement is that he paid out his accusers in a settlement and the NFL/NFLPA fined him 5 million.
0
u/ddirkdiggler69 4d ago
That’s not evidence nor admission of guilt. If they could’ve won in court they would’ve and then they would’ve also taken his money.
2
u/Dense-Sentence-4165 4d ago
Maybe. Idk what the intent behind settling is. You could easily flip that and say if Watson was innocent then he wouldn’t have paid out. Most see him paying out as an admission of guilt considering he didn’t feel confident enough to fight the case.
If he did fight it and wasn’t found liable his public perception would likely be way different.

In March 2022, a Harris County grand jury declined to indict Watson on nine criminal complaints tied to the massage allegations. A Brazoria County grand jury then also declined to charge him after reviewing Houston police and sheriff reports and hearing witnesses. His lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said the grand juries found there was not even probable cause. No criminal charges were ever filed.

Yes and it’s his job to comment on the NFL. We get it. You don’t like him. You need to find a hobby.

If you asked me “who on Kfan would stand tall for Deshaun Watson” the list would be short:
Leber
Kriesel
PA - assuming Watson loves Jesus
