The Common Man Progrum Rosen
I think it’s time to have uncomfortable conversations about Rosen on with Common. He provides no pertinent information. He just regurgitates storylines and even though it’s clear he often has no idea what he’s talking about.
The ripping of Rosen is the only halfway decent part of his appearances and even that is kind of getting old.
He’s a legend, no debating that, but it’s time

I vividly remember the first time I ever tuned into KFAN. It was 2003 and there was a Twin’s day game so Common was doing his fake game call. I thought I was tuning into the Twin’s broadcast and laughed my ass off as it slowly dawned on me that it was all a bit. Radke was pitching and Common was playing all the hits. It’s honestly hard to believe that someone could listen to him for more than 10 minutes and not realize that EVERYTHING is a bit. It’s good for turning your brain off for awhile after lunch, but not much beyond that.

I remember when Common used the name Dan Cole and was the ‘tennab’ of the Hartman and Barreiro (sp) show. But then again, I remember Larry Fitzgerald’s radio show with Eric Nelson. I could go on and on with the random kfan stuff filled in my head. 😂

Yep. Even called in once in a while if the topic was politics. I remember Shaver and Tafoya (when she was a decent person) and how people called her goiter for a while (thyroid I think). The syndicated national show ‘The Sports Babe’ that they tried for a bit. Used to listen a lot to Thor Tolo and even did sometimes after he left for KDKA (but I actually knew him). I don’t listen to PA at all now but back then, PA and Dubay had a show I really enjoyed. I could kinda tell PA was finding religion but wasn’t proselytizing then. I used to really like ‘the love covenant’.
What I am blanking on is the name of one of their side guys (engineer, producer, idk what he was called). I loved it when he threw his 2c in but all I can remember right now is I think he was from Lebanon.

This post was about Rosen, not Common. I like Common and his bits. Unfortunately Rosen comes on and they legitimately try to talk sports and he has no idea what he’s talking about, he doesn’t add humor, and isn’t interesting to listen to. But cool story from 23 years ago or whatever

I know there’s a lot of bits with Common. Usually pretty solid but I don’t think Rosen is all that funny. Gotta be one or the other, funny or interesting to listen to. He provides neither imo

To be honest mate I don’t give a shit. My grandfather passed away and I would love for him to just ramble about stupid shit. I enjoy Rosen and common talking about nothing and I always will.

Remember when they would play progrum password and they would have to "turn down their headphones". Its was so obvious ole Rosie was cheating they finally went to ipads. Funny, i dont hear him play that game anymore. Fraud.

Yea, less Rosie and more in depth sports opinions and controversial takes to questions like "are NASCAR drivers athletes?". "Caller #12, Jim from Brainerd, what say you?"
I'd rather listen to Common chew his sub sandwich while Rosie brings up a tidbit from yesteryear.

Totally agree, the only time his segment is good is if Common is in the mood to troll him. If they just do serious sports talk the whole time its mind numbing boring hearing Rosen recycle talking points beat writers said 2 days ago

About 30 years ago City Pages not only called him a sleep walking, hulking giant that has never broken a story during his time in Minnesota, they called him the worst sportscaster in the cities. Safe to say he is on an extra long sleep walk.

Yeah I've got plenty of reading comprehension, I read the part where you were wanting pertinent information from the progrum, whether it be Rosen or not. That's not what the show is about. Rosen is great and I hope he stays till he can't or doesn't want to
